another CC scam? no question.

Missed the call- called the number back.  No company name stated or anything.  The automated message just said, "Thank you for calling back.  If you would like to have your number removed from our data base and no longer receive special deals from your favorite retailer, press 1."  Didn't want to take the chance, so I hung up.

called on my cell AND at home. TWERPS!

Called me last night at 5:42 pm on my cell.  Didnt recognize the number, so I did not answer it.  I have my cell (and home)on the national Do Not Call List too.

Recording about lowering interest rate on your credit card.  I pushed 1 to speak with someone as soon as I said I don't even own credit cards they hung up. The Federal government or the FCC needs to do something about these calls.  They are annoying especially targeting Cell Phones.

I received a call from this number about 9:00a.m. on Feb. 16, 2010. I have unlisted phone number and rarely get calls from people I don't know. Said Hello, the person did not answer and hung up within 5 seconds.  I followed up on this because I do have relatives in Nebraska and feared one of them was in hospital or in need of help.  Instead, it looks like some sort of scam?

Hey - - everybody, call 402-982-0200, that's Citistream's compliant number.  All you get to do is leave a message but if about 10,000 messages foul-up their system maybe they will listen.
All of the other numbers, even the ones listed with the FTC, have been discontinued so these guys know what the problem and they are part of it.

Okay, I'm annoyed by these calls too and I'm on the no call list which seems to not matter to these people. I've received calls from them everyday up to 4 times and day. There are 5 numbers that have been calling:

So if you see these numbers and can block them do so. If not don't bother answering. I'm with ATT Uverse not Time Warner but I'm sure it's the telephone company's giving out the numbers because only 3 people know my number. I was looking at my bill online for ATT though and it seems you are able to block the numbers from there but we'll just had to what and see.

Received a call on my fax line from 402-982-0579 on Nov 12th and just now saw it as I changed the paper..It shows it came from Hospitality Inc. Obviously no fax came through so it must have been some sort of a telephone marketing call as it disconnected. Have no clue who it is.

We have received over 21 phone calls from this same company, under the guise of several different company names (Hospitality Inc., Customer Services, EMC Inc., Brooks Partners) and from variations of 2 different phone numbers.  Same story.  Press 1 and ask for info and they hang up.  Some days there have been 4-5 calls made, each about an hour after the last.  Finally went to the DNC site (we have all of our phones registered with them) and filed a complaint online.  Making calls with recorded voices IS illegal.  Maybe if we all report them, this harassment will stop.

I get a call from Omaha NE 402-982-0579 almost everyday. what are they crazy? I don't have any credit cards.  And every time they call I get ruder and ruder. How do you make it stop?

automated call to my cell phone.  When they said something about my credit cards I immediately hung up because none of my credit card companies have my cell phone - they all use my land line.  The call was received at 11:55 a.m. Nov 12th, 2009.

These people are sooooo annoying... Are they trying to engage in Credit Card Fraud or Identity Theft????   How can they be stopped?

i also receive repeated calls, every hour, sometimes as close as every 5 minutes. i also have timewarner and though i have paid for an unlisted blocked line, i still receive calls ALL THE TIME!! it gets worse every day. UUUGGGGHHH!

This number has been calling me every day at least 3 times a day since last friday. I have pressed 2 several times to be taken off of thier calling list. However, I had, had enough today! I asked for a supervisor and the guy said ok, and hung up!!

call came in 11:58 this morning on my childs cell phone. Didn't get to answer it though. She's only 11 so this can't have anything to do with credit cards.  Just random dialing I would guess.

getting several calls a day on a brand new UNPUBLISHED land line. I finally picked it up, and when the representative asked how I was doing today, I asked what company this was. He immediately hung up on me. This numer is also on the national do not call registry, and I will be filing a complaint.

Any call which begins with a recorded voice is now illegal (as of September 2009, I think), so even if you're not on the Do Not Call list, this is still an illegal call. My advice, don't get angry, just file a complaint. Next time they call, humor them and wind them up.

if 1-402-982-0579 continues to call you try calling CitiStream Communications Inc. - they are they carrier for that number and they can stop them from contacting you within 24 - 48 hours. Also, file a complaint with the F.T.C. so that this company gets shut down and prosecuted.

Do you by chance get your phone through Time Warner Cable? We do and they HAVE to be the ones who gave out the number b/c we hadn't given it to ANYONE yet and the phone calls from this toll-free # began the very day the phone was installed!!! I'm SO mad, but can't say that I'm surprised.

I've been getting these call for a while, as well as from 2 other numbers. I because I am so frustrated so I tried calling back to no avail. Then, I searched for whatever "parent" company this was to try and contact them directly, also to no avail. Then I was finally able to find out the local carrier of the number (through www.PeopleSearchPro.com) to contact them. In this case, it is Citistream Communications, Inc. I called them at: 402-982-0200 and they filed a complaint. They said they "Demand" to the numbers that have complaints must remove the number from their list w/in 24hrs. Citistream (and other carriers) only provide registration services to these harassing companies so we can at least see their numbers. I don't have anything to lose so I thought I'd see if THIS finally worked.
