Received an after hours phone call from this number, asking if I wanted to sell owner vacation credits. Did Intelius search; company is Wacent, out of Omaha, Nebraska. He also had some relevant information regarding my account. Check with home company; they do not exchange contract information with outside company. It was suggested that credit reporting companies may have provided such contract information.

This call came in on my phone not a peep on the phone from this number unknown if it is a scam or what but this is the first call from this phone number.

I receive 2 to 4 calls a day, from wacent from 1 402-982-0693. No one is on their end, to answer ?s. Any time this # shows on my caller id, I do not answer, then erase.

They will not stop calling my phone and i just answer it and they ask for my husband and i told them he was not home and they hung up.

I get daily automated messages from "Jason" from 402-982-0693 which comes up on my caller ID as Wacent or Omaha, NE, then he says it's urgent about my extended auto warranty and gives 877-256-4793 as the number to call for more info. Then when you call that number there is a recording and they tell you to call back later or leave a message. This is a scam company who constantly calls my home number even though I have pressed 1 to have them take me off their list when I call back their 402-982-0693 number. So, I contacted my phone company and I pay $3/month to have "selective call rejection" where I can have that number and any others blocked until it stops.

This Wacent calls at least twice a day and ask for my husband by name.  When I say he is at work, they hang up.  I do not know what they want.  They know my husband's name so I am worried.  I have had calls from accents in spanish, indian, potudese and fake english (England English). FYI

Just got a call from this number also.  They asked for my husband by name and when I told them he wasn't home, they hung up.  Hopefully they won't call back.

Get a phone call from this number at least 2x a day.  When I answered in the past, it was dead air.  Now I just let it go to voicemail and a message is left to call back as soon as possible with this number.

Had a few calls from this number,today my husband answered and an automated voice told him "you are the only party on this conference call". He waited a couple of seconds and hung-up.

I have received several calls from them for about a week now. I didn't answer any of their call and they never left a message.... I received another call from this number again this morning, of course I didn't answer. I checked the number on this site to see if others received calls from it (well you guys all got call from it). anyway, I called the number back several minutes ago and the automated message said " if you do not want calls from us and want to be put into our do not call list, press 1", which I did. The line went dead right away. Let's see if they call back again.

Received a call from this number today.  A girl who spoke barely understandable pidgin-english offered me a 'FREE' trial of Master Card and Visa processing.  I assume they got my number from my website.
She then said that all I had to do was send a copy of my (something I couldn't understand).

I asked her what that was and she said "you know, just send us a copy of your mastercard and Visa bills.

I said "Are you out of your mind?"  and told her not to call me again, then hung up.

Really.  Are they that stupid?  Is ANYONE that stupid?

I have been getting these calls consisting of a recorded voice telling me not to hang up they have an important message for me.  Then I'm transferred to another recorded male voice telling me he's Captain ... and he has an great opportunity for me.  No real person to talk to so can't ask them not to call.  Don't give them any information about yourself but get some basic information from them like the business name, who you are talking to.

I already reported one phone auto warranty scam from a company based in NJ to the Attorney General of NJ.  That worked great.  Next, I'll report these guys to the AG in Nebraska.  First, check them out with your Better Business Bureau.  They can tell you what there standing is and where they are incorporated.  Then write a letter asking the AG in Nebraska (or state of incorporation) to investigate these scamers.  Don't be a victim, let's shut these people down.

just got off the phone with them.  she said her name was Stephanie and was offering extended warranty.  she knew what car I had and that it was out of warranty.  The only question she got to ask was how many miles I had on it.  I told them "pushing a quarter million"  she laughed and told me to have a nice day.

time to go to my ooma lounge and add their number to the block list so they recieve the "this number has been disconnected or no longer in service" if they call again.

Received a call from 1-402-982-0693 around 1:20 pm today. Name under number was Wacent.  He asked for Charles. I said, no but I am his wife can I help you....he immediately hung up. That is really rude.

getting this call daily..I call it back and "select 1" to be added to their "do not call list" and then I get the call again...how do I get it to stop?

Got the exact same thing as DannyMarine.  Said he was with the foreign ministry?  I hung up.

Caller ID showed 402-982-0693, but caller hung up after asking for me. A return call prompted me if I wanted no more calls... "Thank you for calling back. If you do not want to receive any more of our special promotions, press 1..." Pressing "1" terminated the call after about 5 seconds.

How do you get rid of this person!? This number calls me almost every single day while I am in class and has even called during an exam once.  One time I answered and some guy asked for a random name.  I told him that he had the wrong number and I proceeded to yell a few nasty cuss words at him (oops).  He said he was sorry for calling, but continues to call at least twice a day! Is there a way for AT&T (my provider) to either block or report this phone number!? It's so ANNOYING.

did not say anything I did the punching the #9 real fast like I read about to mess up their auto dials then hung up.  don't know if the 9 thing works or not but did it anyway.

live person offering car warranty extension. they wanted to "validate" some personal information. I refused and they hung up. called the number from caller id and got a message- but no company name. probably a scam or collector.
