I got three calls from these guys in the space of 16 seconds.

Missed the call at 6 am. I called the number and it was a recording saying if I perfer not to receive future calls about special promotions in the future press 1, then thank you for calling. What about the promotions if it is not a scam!

These people have called here at LEAST 5X in the past month. Anyone who would fall for this scam deserves it! Honestly, are people that stupid to go along with this?!

ac 402 is nebraska, as dodge34 mentioned, so they are not covered by canada's dnc list.

One of them was supposed to stay in my apartment. He has then sent me a check of the amount of 4000$ which was supposed to be 400$. He then asked me to send him back 3600$ cause of the mistake he has done. The cashier at the bank told me that the check was all right and that the funds were available. I then send him back his 3000$. The day after I had -3000$ in my account. I was so pissed. I cannot describe it. They stole me 3000$. I'm a student and I dont have money. They are a**holes. They even asked me an extra 1500$ us for his sick daughter....my a**!!!

Now he keeps calling me every day. I'm afraid...I dont know what's going to happen.

Sick of these bastards calling. This is obviously a scam and it blows my mind how they are still able to scam people!

Rec'd a call from this number. Caller ID showed as "Private Testing". When we answered it there was no one on the line and it disconnected.

I keep a whistle by the phone....pres one and give myself some small satisfaction.

They called at 9:45 a.m. I was told to dial "1" to speak to know more about a special discount or dial "2" to remove my name from their list. I choose to dial "2" because I'm not interested to receive anymore called from this compagny that I don't know about.

Received a call on both home landlines. When I picked up no one was there.

I got a call from them in the afternoon today. It was an automated voice telling me about saving interest on my credit cards. I have since blocked their number.

I just got a call from them 10 minutes ago in Canada we have a Do Not disturb registry but since this area code is from Nebraska in USA this law doesn't apply to them.

Got a phone call from this number @ 8:20 this morning telling me that they could help us lower our interest rates....I hung up I was in the middle of my morning rush getting my children out the door for school

We don't know those peoples.I also received the call more than once.

they wanted credit card info - never gave

rec'd a call from these people on my business line...I pressed 2 to have my number removed from the calling list and it gave me a live person.  I told them to remove my phone number as it was a business number and they abruptly hung up

Got a call from 402-982-0771 at 1:50 pm on Jan 11, 2010. Lists name as "PRIVATE TESTING." I did not recognize the number and the name was odd so I did not answer. When my answering machine picked up it hung up.

Thanks for the heads up though! I'm glad to know from the other comments that I avoided dealign with another offshore scam!

Got a call from this #, so I hit 1 to talk to a rep, and started my script. "If you hang up without answering each of the following questions, you'll have broken the law at least once day and be liable for $500 per question, starting with, what is the name of the company you are calling me on behalf of?"

Called it back and a robo-voice offered to put me on the no-call list if I hit 1.  I hit 1.  Then I called it back again and tried 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2 just in case it had a backdoor to another line.  None.

recorded message - punched 1 to get to a live body (with an Indian accent) told him my number is on a do not call list and to remove it and that they are a scam get-up.
The message is about lowering credit card interest rates... yea, right.

I've chosen to be added to do not call list, now I get called several times a day

This is an almost daily automated call.  One place to report it is the Federal Do Not Call web site that has a specific button for reporting this type of nuicance calling.

robotic call attempting to "assist me in converting to a card with a lower interest rate."  ignored.

Just got a call from this number 5 minutes ago. Caller ID showed up as Romania.
Female voice said to type 1 to talk to someone about lowering my interest rate,
or 2 to discontinue and be taken off list. After pressing 2, I immediately heard a voice on the other end at which point I hung up. I then went to my online VOIP portal and entered this number into my avoid number list.

I just got a call from this number ... They started talking before it hit my machine, so I missed the first part, but it was to lower our interest rate.  I did *69 to find the number.  It did come across as Private Name.
I then did a look up for the number and got to this site.

Received a call from this number.  Didn't answer but machine picked up a Robocall.  Have filed a complaint with the Do Not Call registry.

This criminal enterprise calls with their phony offers.

Heard some one on the line- but they hung up on me. Didn't give me the chance to blow them off. I only answered it as I canceled a credit card recently and I have been waiting for the inevitable.

Recorded message saying "My name is heather and I'm calling about your credit card. There is no problem with your card..." at that point I hung up. Fortunately, this call came in at 9:40 a.m.
