I have received several calls, but they hang up. I called back and got a message to the effect, "Thank you for calling back. If you are no longer interested in receiving notice of special offers from us, press 1. This may take up to 72 hrs to take effect." You get he idea.

Just got a call, no message.  Looked up the number on Google and got this site.

Have had 2 phone calls from this number.  My caller ID says "No Name" so I do not answer.  I am on a no call list and do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize.

This is a scam security company. Stating they got my number from an online partner.

I don't have a land line so they're calling my cell phone. If I don't recognize the number, I don't pick up. If it's important, they'll leave a message.

I've had similar experiences from other numbers in the past. Usually calling about "my magazine subscriptions" of which I have none.

Someone came up with a great way to get these scumbag scammers to stop calling. Answer your phone as if you are the police dept e.g. "XXX Police, Officer XXX speaking."

I've done that several times. Amazingly enough, I never get a call from that number again. If this Omaha number calls again in the next few days, I'll be doing that again.

So far I received 2 calls from this number (402-982-0873) within the last 2 hrs. Is there a way to stop this company from calling us ever gain considering a lot of us had experienced the same thing? I just filed a complaint to the National Do Not Call Registry; however I doubted that it helps. Else this scumbag won't dare calling us.

I get a call from this number 3-4 times/day, and the Caller ID says it's Home Security Gp. I am on the do not call registry, so I've reported it for every time they've called. I also have a new, unlisted phone number (as of Feb. 2010), so these people are violating Federal laws. I've never answered when they call...I never answer unless I know who it is. And they never leave a message. We all should always report these calls at the Do Not Call Registry Web site. Maybe they'll then be investigated and stop.

received this call on my PERSONAL cell. when i said i do not wish to be solicited on my cell and they are wasting my minutes they merely pressed on with the script. they also said what they do is if you are interested have a specialist call you back. He is not from GE home secuity but a company seeking parties interested in a home security system.

Got this call a couple times today. Answered it the 2nd time and at first it sounded like a recorded voice asking how I was today - said fine. Next it said that I've won/been qualified for (don't remember what exactly he said) a wireless security system.  I was still thinking it was a weird recorded voice so I just said "No" and there was a pause, then he said OK, thanks for your time and hung up.

Since I've been unemployed and at home more often during the day I'm amazed at the number of telemarketing calls that come in.  I've reached the point where I keep this website up during the day and check the phone number here before I answer.

I asked how they got my number and they said it was from an online affiliate and went right back to trying to sell me home security service. He avoided giving me the name of his company even though I asked about 10 times. Then I told him if he knew it was illegal to telemarket to my "CELL PHONE" and he hung up. What a prick!

I think it is a robocall from overseas (Vietnam) that is randomly calling numbers trying to get valid US social security numbers.  I got a call today from "Ben".  There was a delay after answering the phone, and then I heard "This is Ben calling from the Home Security Group."  And my reply of "I'm not interested" had an echo.

Finally answered the third time they called this week. I said "Hello?", waited 5 seconds, then hung up when I got no response. Won't be accepting calls from this number again.

I have rec'd 4 calls in 2 days.  Came upon this site and have read comments.  There are several comments that list the number incorrectly.  It's shown at 402-928, in fact it's 402-982----.  I called from my land line and got a recording asking me  to press #1 to remove my number from their list.

OTOSG 402-982-0873.  This number has appeard on my caller ID several days but does not leave a message..  I do not answer unknown callers.  I am also wondering if my number was sold by Omaha Steaks.  Who else has purchased from them lately?   We should call their customer service and ask if they have any connection with this number.

Just received a call from this number. Didn't recognize so I allowed it to go into voicemail. They didn't leave a number. My number is registered on the National Do Not Call List, so if it is a solicitation call, they should not be calling me.

I received a call from a Brett who offered me a GE Home Security. Before I could say take me off their list, he hung up. I tried calling back but it's a;ways busy. My number is already registered with the do not call list.

Urgh!  They just called me again for the fourth time today.  I finally answered this time after reading what everyone else has said about the number.  What a jerk.  After saying hello five times someone finally picked up the phone and tried to give me the script.  I interrupted him to tell me to stop calling and take me off of the list and then he just hung up on me.  No response, so who knows if he really did it.  I Called them back to take me off and got an automated system and told to press 1 and it will take up to 72 hours to get my name off the list.  Yeah right.  It doesn't take that long.  So annoying!  Anyone know what company this is?  If so I say we make a pact to call their HQ non stop and drive them crazy as well.  ;)

I didn't answer this cell call, and the ID just said "Nebraska".  I figure if anyone wants to reach me they would leave a message, which this caller did not.  I just hope I don't get lots of repeat calls like some of the other posters have.  I'm glad I can look up these types of things and not got sucked into some scam.  Thanks to all who posted so we can beware.

I've received three calls from the number so I called back and a recording asked if I wanted to be removed from their calling list. I did as instructed to be removed. Hopefully it works.

3rd time they called within the past 4 days. they don't leave a message and when I looked up the area code, it's in nebraska???!! WTF? how do they get my number when I live in Cali and never been claw to Nebraska...don't even kno anyone in Nebraska.

I have received one or two calls from this number and finally picked it up to see who it was. Says they're calling from Home Security Group. No idea how they got my PERSONAL CELL NUMBER.

I just received a call from this number and I didn't answer. No message was left and I am on the Do not call list.

Just curious. I have sprint for my cell phone service. Who all has sprint as well? Maybe thats the common denominator.

Called my cell phone telling me they were looking for people to try out their wireless home security system.  I asked where they got my number and they said an on-line third party.  As I was telling them that I never entered this number in on line, it's a cell phone, they hung up on me.  I really wish there was a law against this.
