Got a call this morning from this number. Was a guy speaking very quickly about collecting items for charity. Anytime I tried to ask a question or get him to slow down he would speak louder and over me. When I said, no, he immediately hung up on me. Very skeptical of this "charity" as the caller would not identify himself and mumbled the cause he was attempting to collect for.

Yeah, this place keeps calling and calling. Never leave a message. It looks like a Calgary number. Decided to look them up. I agree with the above... if it was a charity, they'd leave a message. Definitely not into having someone that just calls me up randomly coming to my house to get donations...besides, Value Village is about a five-minute drive so we have nothing else to give!

Fake Charity Scam !! Called every day for last 4 days.

Just got this too, and my PhoneTray Free software didn't block it because of the local 403 area code. No message left, and they're on the zap list now.

That's a first for me - a caller id that looks like a serial number. Answering that is like answering the door for someone with a mask on!

Got 3 calls so far today.  No messages, and I did not answer none of them.  Caller Id name keeps shifting numbers, however, always starts with V0.

I got 3 calls today from this number. I did not answer and they hung up the minute my machine came on...

We got a call from this number. The name display said:
V05312143500143
which is obviously very suspicious. I picked it up and no one was there - probably using a dialer.
However, we used reverse lookup on his phone number, and it lists a name and address. Here's the link to the reverse lookup, so you can check it youself:

I had 4 missed calls from this numbe while at work on one day. It actually is identified with several numbers like V0531210539014 and others. All also listed to 403-239-4990. Now are blocked. What's with the V then thirteen digits all about?

*60 to activate call blocking, then dial

#60#   to reject the last number that attempted to call you.

Sounds like someone trying to see if you're home so they can rob you or something...

The v and a bunch of numbers means it's a call over the internet and the number is probably spooked (not real) - a true sign of scammers - also notice there are spates of calls separated by about a year - means they are switching numbers as each one gets known - another sign of scammers.

This stupid number calls 4 times a week - and never leaves a message.  Wish I knew who they were so I could report them.  There's a reason we have Do Not Call Lists, jerk!

I've encountered this number since last night, (3-28-12) then 2 times today (3-29-12). I thought this is a company that I've applied for a job but it's not. When I pick up a call, I heard nothing, and then cuts the call. As Brian mentioned, caller ID shows V and bunch of different numbers.

The same thing keeps happening to me. I get this odd caller ID and they have called me approximately 7 times in the past 10 hrs.

Just got a call from them, did not answer as the call display showed V03062241210124. I want nothing to do with these people, especially when their so called company name keeps changing....they've got to be scammers.

Just got a call from this number and as soon as I said this was a business line they hung up. Caller ID was V02141155260119.

This number has been calling my house almost constantly for the past week. I honestly don't trust them.
For some reason though, this Caller ID always shows up when they call my house, which set off the first warning bell in my mind: V02082114110118

Still goin]g strong in 2012. These people are in it for themselves. Likely sell what they pick up in a flea market. That's why they won't and can't identify themselves, and will only pick up, never give you a drop off address.

A legit charity would be happy to take a drop off, would identify themselves and give a legit call back #.

Beware! they've been at this in Calgary for years now. And it must work, or they'd have moved on to something else!

Caller Id shows V and a whole bunch of numbers.
The answer machine says they want to pick up cloths and household items for local charities but there is a big scandal in Ontario about this most of what gets picked up is shipped to Africa and India and resold huge profits the story said the truck drivers are making a 200K a year 170 million dollar a year  business report these people and do not put cloths in any bins but Sally Anne or  donate directly to Value Village make sure it stays local. and not huge cash profit for scum of the earth If you answer the phone ask who is  the charity they are collecting for Local charity could be who knows

This number is still being used, still bothering people & still do not have a charitable organization or business licence........Years of calls you would think they would give up!

The only charity they are supporting is themselves. Bogus BS Can't giove you a legitimate name of a charity.

Hi, I got three calls from this number today with no messages, so I called it back and just got an answering machine but then they called again and I answered and it is a gentlemen and his family working from his home calling looking for clothing, bedding, or shoe donations for mentally challenged children and they are trying to set up pick up dates for anyone with stuff to donate.

Yes, this number is indeed from a gentleman who's collecting donations around the communities, he said they would accept clothings, household appliances, basically anything...I'm a little skeptical about them though since I couldn't seem to catch which organization he's representing.

This number called me last night asking for someone who does not live here - I told them they had the wrong number and they ended the call.  Less than 18 hours later they phone back asking for the same person, who still does not live here.

Told them not to phone again!
