didnt answer the call, but as per the comments above, I am adding them to the blocked list. I have had many calls from the so-called fire chiefs charity in the past, and when i googled it, they apparently do not solicit for funds by phone. see the recent link below or google it yourself. it appears to be a phone scam. I am in western Canada.

I rec'd a call from this nbr asking for 50 or 75.00 donation for the firechiefs association
I replied I had never heard of this charity.. she replied they had been in operations for ___ years ...
when I stated i did not give money over the phone she started to argue that she could send something in the mail after i told her what my donation was - I replied - I did not know who I was speaking to and that this could be a scam she hung up on me.

Paid fundraiser from Calgary AB . She was soliciting for Canadian Fire Chiefs. Right off the bat I asked if she was a professional fund raiser which at least she admitted. I told her I don't give over the phone & think many of these companies are unethical. When she took it personally & said she did have ethics, I said well you chose to take this job. Apparently she gets $9.50 an hour so if anyone out there needs a job pissing people off contact that number.

I told them that I would donate, but would not give my credit card number to them over the phone as they are not within my provincial area code and they hung up on me!
