I got a call from a woman at "Creative Solutions". She called at 9pm and when I asked her why she was calling me so late and she gave me the story about the urgent messages from my computer (I don't have the computer she said was sending them error messages). I told her to shove it.

got a call from 5-886-325-8963 tonight ... if was such an odd call I asked questions ... said Creative Solutions from Korea ... the odd thing is keep an eye on what you do on the internet ... hotwire, priceline or hotels.com are notorious in having odd calls after researching, booking or even chatting for info. another thing they may be doing is - keeping people on the phone to tap into the line & if the home line is linked with the internet...watch your remote access on your computers, they may be able to get access to your computers through keeping you on your phone.

This morning I received a call from this same company and they are indeed a scam company. Wasted several hours figuring this out and reporting them to my credit card company. What frauds! The numbers they used to call were as follows: 5-886-325-8963, 92-168-1200 They claimed they have a working website and phone number but I could not find or reach either one. I e-mailed them this information....so then they called me back again and said they are having technical difficulties. The number they gave me to call is 786-275-5076. NO ONE answers!

My in-laws receievd a call, answered by my wife, from an thick accented man who stated the usual "you have an unwanted program on your PC, please log on and we can delete it" - when asked he said the Company he worked for was "Creative Solutions" and when further questioned re a phone number he gave the number 403-456-3965 and said he was in Florida. Now why would someone in Florida be phoning someone in Waitomo, New Zealand ?????? (not sure where Waitomo is - have a look on a map - great place)

My wife took a call from this number today (Nov. 24, 2011) with a similar story about being associated with Microsoft and that there were problems with her computer. He asked if he could have remote access to her computer and she reluctantly agreed. I don't know what he did as I was out of the house at the time. I've since removed the remote access software that he installed on the computer and scanned it and found nothing else that looked suspicious. Hopefully nothing more will come of this.

Someone called by the name of Mathew Miller (with a very thick Indian accent) and asked to speak to .... Mrs.... xxx. I do not go by that name, so I was immediately suspicious. I asked whom they wanted to speak to. (first name and last name) . he was VERY insistant that he NEEDED to talk to ...... He indicated that he was a Microsoft Certified Technical dept. and there was a faulty messages being sent to Microsoft by which they could resolve it... As we have a few computers in our home, we asked which machine could be causing the problem... I asked about the specific MAC addreses that was at fault and the person did not understand" MAC address". He cited our own postal address. (obviously not a techie) By this time, I had the caller on speaker phone, and I asked for the number that I could reach them at. (Calgary number). and we asked what PC was faulty. Little did they know, they were speaking to a IT security specialist and IT software engineer.
SCAM....... or worse, they want to put a agent on my machine. to stop the faulty message. Yeah right. They might want to put a authroized (because you let them into your PC) trojan on your machine.

I just got a call from a supposed "Microsoft Technician" who had a very thick indian accent.
I demanded that she give me a number that I can call back when it is more convenient time for me.
She kept insisting that there were "serious" issues with my computer and that a technician could fix my computer in 5 minutes.
I kept insisting that I had to go and that I would "call" her back on Monday.
She finally gave me a number and told me her name was Susan Wilson.
VERY VERY SUSPICIOUS. SHE WAS PUSHY, STERN AND FRANKLY INSISTANT THAT I LISTEN TO HER!!!!

We've gotten this call several times today, my dad said that they needed to speak with me. The man has called 4 or 5 times. Says he is with Microsoft Certified Technical Support and that his name is Neil Atkinson. He has a strong East Asian/Indian accent and was very insistent that I start my computer so that he could help me remove the viruses. He had our phone number & complete mailing address. Said that he had gotten our information from some Internet Security Log or some such saying we were sending out viruses and it was VERY SERIOUS... I demanded he give me a number that I could call him back on and he was very reluctant. He had previously refused to give it to my dad. His number came up blocked - Unavailable Name & No on our call display.
I find it VERY fishy.

I got a caller who said he was with microsoft service. He was advising me that microsoft had sent out faulty updates and that my computor was in immediate danger of crashing. He could show me the problem and fix it if I opened up my computor. It sounded suspicious. I hung up and called the antii fraud centre canada at 1-888-495-8501 They said the scheme is Canada wide and when you open your computor they install malicious virus then want to sell you a program to fix the problem. Beware he called me 3 times.
