I just got off the line with the idiots at RBC.  I can't believe those a-holes gets a low-life Famtel company to try to sell me crap that I never asked for.  Famtel called me from 10 different numbers, just about every province.  Thats what type of scum bags they are. 514-225-1398, 705-797-2494, 514-225-7625, 204-289-0964, 403-456-6015, 519-266-6839, 902-442-7660, 604-282-7534, 519-266-6802, 705-797-2495..Needless to say, I CANCELLED ALL MY ACCOUNTS AND YOU SHOULD TO.  If these a-holes think bothering people this way is acceptable, just goes to show you RBC has no respect for their customers..

Received a call from this number and the lady disconnected the call after confirming my name....Got similar call (I did not receive though) from 204-289-0964 yesterday.....Not sure if these are scam....

After a number of annoying calls with no message, I called this number back.  It is a marketing company, and the recorded message says that if you want to be put on their do not call list to leave a message after the beep.  I left my number and asked to be put on the do not call list.  Let's hope it works!

I would like to know how they get unlisted numbers?

Have called a few times asking for another family member by name. I think its Royal Bank spam trying to sell something.  Ignore it, complain to RBC.

They don't respond to any questions unrelated to whatever was programmed. while I was listening to the man who sounded recorded and inhuman, my brother was interrupting with weird questions and shouting out random sentences in the background  but the caller's voice did not flinch at all and when I asked how old he is, he stopped talking and went silent until I said hello again then picked up where he left off. Creepy

I keep getting calls from 403-456-6015 AND 204-289-0964. Not sure who this is, but it is really annoying.

You can tell them no every day and they still continue to call just because you carry one of their cards.....how do you get them to stop?

I get a call every day from a number like this one. I search for the number, and it's always this fake RBC thing.   I signed up for MBNA Mastercard and they gave out my phone number to telemarketers. I've since removed my number, but I keep getting calls.

i'm getting calls from them every morning and sometimes evening. it's annoyingggggg.

i never pick up. i'll be sure to pick up next time and tell them to remove my number from the list or something

This is a total scam. I got a call from both numbers and it was the same guy, same speech (even the same nervous laugh at the same stupid joke) both times and the calls were a week apart. They called to sell me card insurance today. But my mother is a card holder for my account as well and they have not contacted her about it at all.

Its a scam,  I called RBC and got transfered to the fraud department because they didn't know what I was talking about.  The fraud department did some verifying and research and said they are not associated with famtel and that they will escalate the matter.  They also said that they can't control companies calling and claiming to be representing any bank.  They said Rbc would not sell things over the phone and canceled my credit card and issued a new one.

Why does this number call? Luckily we do not answer calls from numbers we do not recognise.

A call from Amia (sp?) on behalf of RBC looking to enroll you in Info Protector Coverage

It is a company hired by RBC.  If you recently applied for a credit card, or had a new one sent to you and you call to activate the card this company gets a "trigger" to call you to buy bull crap insurance.  Its not a scam to get your information but it is a rip off.  Just hang up.  Call RBC back to request to be removed from the calling list.  After that go switch banks to a better one.

This is a scam and it was confirmed by the security arm of the RBC; we called and discussed the issue. In order to be completely confident, RBC recommended that we cancel our credit card number.  We did so. This is an annoyance but luckily we do not have pre-authorized payments on our card.  It isn't worth the hassle.  If you get these calls?  Tell them you don't do business over the phone and if they have some terrific offer - do it by mail.  If they have your number, they have your address. If they ask?  Hang up, they've wasted enough of your valuable time.

I received a phone call from a lady from this phone number and asked for me. When I ask to whom am I speaking, a man responded and said he will just call back. I tried to call the number back and reached SAMTEL SOLUTIONS.

A voice prompt said that I have received a phone call for their business needs and gave me the option to leave a message to remove my number to their calling list.

How nice you know the exact phrasing "info protector" Say it much? Your vague and misleading in you post. You f****ng mole!

Sound like a scam to me. They called 403-456-6015. What bull s***! Oh we use software to answer the phone...sounds like getting a call from some kids help phone and they're asking for u by name so youre like what!? and then bam some guy comes on "are u so and so?" Big red flag there! Oh everything is ok we work for RBC-no way!!

Yes it is legit "info protector" I just got the call and then called RBC credit card and they said it is legit it's a 3rd party calling on their behalf.

I have had numerous calls from this number.  They never leave a message.  I use RBC and am thinking of switching banks I get harrassed so much.  Yuck.
