Got a call - survey questions - nothing too invasive.
Within 24 hours, a campaign sign was placed on my lawn.

Guy from Alberta voice on message system.  Leave a message with what you want to talk about.  Little vague isn't it?

Received call from this number but do not answer calls from "unknown" as it comes up on caller ID.

Just got a call...I did not answer it cause it has no phone id.

Got a call here too. answered but no one was on the line. If it is robocalls  its going to be a long election campaign or maybe it should be spelled cam-pain.

I have been getting unwanted calls for years. Always somebody trying to sell me something. I'm not going to pretend they are from a political party or anything else because I don't have a political agenda big enough that I need to lie. They are just from salesmen. Yes, they are annoying and I never buy from people that call me.

This was an automated opinion poll for the upcoming election. I answered a few questions and when I answered a question saying I did not favour premier Redford the line went dead.

I just got a call from this number....no one said anything. They also tried to call about 20 minutes earlier...

I just received a call from this number as well and I didn't answer and they left no message. I'm fed up with these calls before elections and we've also had people come to the door again. Dolores

It's a robocaller with very leading questions. I hung up. If you don't want to harassing calls afterwards just say you'll vote PC or Conservative and then do what you want at the polls.

Wow, if you're going to claim something is illegal you should actually figure out if it is first, otherwise you sound stupid.

Robocalls are perfectly legal, and you DO NOT have to give consent for a political party to call you. Political parties, newspapers, registered charities and several other organizations are specifically EXEMPT from laws regarding do not call lists.
You can ask to be removed from the list, but there is nothing illegal about them phoning you in the first place and no consent is needed.

I didn't like the call either, but I also don't like it when people make false statements (whether it's because they're just ignorant or lying).

Got the call tonight. Conservative Party polling.  What really, really got me angry is that their system would not break off the call after I hung up my phone.  I figured it would disconnect after 30 secs of being hung-up, but it kept my phone line tied up for 10 mins. That has got to be illegal.

Another 2 calls from "your voice Alberta" any way I can block calls from this number?

Three calls from this number in the past 5 minutes. Had calls from them last week too! Sooo annoying!

I didn't answer the call as I have a policy to not answer numbers I don't recognize on my home phone, but I will drop a note that at 8:15pm today, I had received a call from this number.

Me too.  The person hung up on me after I answered and said "hello."

I answered.  It was a ROBOCALL.  They claimed to be "Alberta Your Voice".

The only choices given were to:
- answer their questions
- not answer their questions

There was no information given in the recorded message about who really was behind the call, be they Conservative, Liberal, NDP, Green, or Martian.

There was NO alternative phone number given to call & ask that you be dropped from their call list.
There was NO option given to be dropped from their call list.
There was NO option to speak to a live representative.

ROBOCALLS are just plain ILLEGAL, unless you previously CONSENT to accept them.  I do not care if they come from political parties or from people who are trying to manipulate the political process.

This call was BS.

I did a Google search for "Alberta Your Voice"; there's no real organization out there operating under this name.  This is pure BS.

I didn't answer but a women left a message on my machine saying "Hello?" and then hung up. I hate getting these calls, I get charged roaming fees if I answer them being I'm temporarily out of province >:(

Received a call from this number tonight but I did not answer, did not see a name on my call display.
HEY EVERYONE, about the DNCL. I was on it for 2 years and after signing on I got more telemarketing calls than ever in my life.
I was reporting to the DNCL approx 11 unwanted calls per week and they never stopped. HERE"S WHY:
The DNCL, in the first 1 1/2 years of operation issued only $4000 in fines (no I did not forget any 0's. It was $4000) The DNCL list is virtually a free list of phone numbers for telemarketers.
Best thing I ever did, I took my number off the DNCL list, unfortunately damage done. Will need to get an unlisted number.

Got a call 9:15pm Thursday night.  It went to answering machine - no message.
I'll never vote conservative again in this lifetime!

called me  never answer then i called back ..Voice Alberta voice of a female at the other line how much she is being paid who financed this paid by someone invisible ...political survey for what ...asking my name and phone number ....i am from earth my name is John Smith  you know my number you just called me.......

Well they called once after nine PM  I called it back and left a message stating I DO NOT KNOW U i'm on do not call list, I will be filing a complaint about the call. do not call me again

Alberta Your Voice

Political robocall/possible scam if it's not attached to a party. Received the call at 9:05 p.m. which I believe is against the law regardless of whether these calls are exempt from DNCL. Didn't answer but Alberta Your Voice came up on the call display. Expect more of these in Alberta with an election campaign imminent. My rule: I don't vote for any party that uses robocalls anymore. And yeah that probably means the independent or "Rhino" candidate (or equivalent) is likely to get my X this year.
