Just got a call from them, they are hackers, he was asking me if I was using windows on my computer and they just had a report... I didn't let them finished and told them I was not stupid and hung up. DO NOT GIVE THEM INFORMATIONS!!!

This number has been calling me for approximately a week now. East Indian guy said he's calling from Western Union Bank in the UK and wants to give me a money refund. He has some of my mother's personal information including email, home address and postal code and wanted me to go online to receive the funds. I was immediately not trusting this guy. For one, he's calling "from the UK" with a 403 number so that's immediately fishy. Seems like not many people have had these guys call and saying they're refunding money, but regardless of how they changed their story, from what I've read this number absolutely cannot be trusted.

The number has to do with overseas pay as you go phone service.  Scammers use pay as you go because it is much harder to track.  Hope this helps

The call from this number went to voice mail.  A Jamaican sounding man said I'd won 2.5 million CDN and to call right away to collect!   Oh Goody!  I've been getting calls from these goofs for past few weeks.  They say they are either from Publishers Clearing House or the Cash Awards Centre with a certified cheque in my name.  They keep using different numbers so blocking probably won't help.  BTW, the Microsoft scammer called me on a different number 2 months ago.  I really wish there was a way to stop this harrassment, so annoying.

Had a call from VO1281648120011 (403-697-6637) and a fellow with an East Indian accent told me he was calling about a computer issue that had been reported to them via the web. How anyone would know this is beyond me. When I asked what kind of issue, I was told something to the effect that my computer had been compromised or breached. I asked how he would know that and after a couple of seconds he said "You're a Mac a***ole". Kind of threw me for a loop but It's certainly not the first time I've a had calls from companies telling me that my "Windows computer" (I am actually on a Mac) needs "fixing".

East indian called me from 4036976637, he identified himself as Johnny Duncan (really?) don't know any north american name with Indian accent... anyways, scammer tells me he is calling from London then he said Toronto, saying my computer reported a a technical failure related to Windows.  He had my husbands name and old address, wondering how...? anyways, he asked me to get in front of my computer and do something for him.  I knew it was a scam but wanted to go further and see what else he had to say so let him talk and after getting tired of his senseless call i told him i didn't trust him and hang up on him. then he called again asking why i hang up on him and telling me he only wanted  to help so i got really tired of his bullsh....and told him that if he ever calls again I will report him and had to yell at him so he could stop talking.  A very persistent little man this "Johnny Duncan" eh?  by the way, the second time he called the name "Manishkol" appeared on top of the number... oh by the way, when i told him, if you are in Toronto then why your number appears as a 403 number?  He said because I'm calling you from internet... more power to me Johnny boy... you need to get a decent job and find a life!

Just had this call from an with a heavily accented voice telling me my windows computer was transmitting confidential personal data. Got very rude and I hung up.

Got the same call today from an unknown number. Heavy East Indian accent ....had to get her to spell out Center & Savers.  Wanted my credit card info. to pay for the shipping and handling  ($3.90) for the info & vouchers.....yeah right!!

Just got a call from this number. Woman said she was calling from the Redemption Center at Savers City (???). She said that she was offering gas vouchers and two airline vouchers and needed some information. Told her I wasn't interested and she said I should really take the deal because it was such a good deal. Told her know and that I'm not interested. She said Ok, well someone will call again when we have new rewards. I asked her not to call again and told her I needed to go. Very very odd. Don't fall for anything here!

Got ten missed calls in six minutes. Two from this number and from private. Call back and it says its disconnected.

Same thing happened to me coming in to my cell phone.

Called this morning.  Tild them to Fxxx oxx and hung up.  Scammers, don't be fooled.  
They are so stupid they keep calling back under
new numbers.  If it didn't  work the first time, what are the chances it will work the 20th time.  Dummies!

Same here! East Indian accept calling about a virus on my computer that they apparently were notified about.  That my computer could be easily fixed I give them some information.  I asked who it was, and they couldn't give me a straight answer.... Seriously? what a joke!

East Indian accent calling from Windows regarding my computer ...  has a virus and they have revieved many notices from "My Computer" yep for real .... which is why they were calling ... anyhow told him to stop calling and bothering people with this because it never happened - hung up and blocked number however it is obviously spoofed so will get through again i imagine ?

Number called me. The name said "russel". Same scam as always. Please, no one fall for this.

They say they're from Microsoft (or hired by Microsoft) and need to get access to your computer because they say it is "infected with malware". They'll give a ton of reasons as to how they'll know it is infected (e.g., automatic messages from Windows) and that your computer will crash at any minute....but in the end, they're just hoping to get access and hijack your computer.
They'll vehemently deny being fraudulent when you confront them - but they are. Called the number back and it wasn't in service.

Some one just called me from this number saying that I have a virus on my computer. Its the same scam thats been going on for a while. Called him a not so nice name and hung up. We are in the middle of supper. Home from working a long day doing honest work, and soo not in the mood to deal with your scams.

This number called me my cell number. It was a recording saying that I won a prize and prompted me to press 1 to claim the prize. I could smell a rat right away and hung up immediately. If you get a call like that, do not follow any instructions. Just hang up as fast as you can and block the number.

Got a call for collections, called number back and it is 'no longer in service'.

Received a call from 403-697-6637.  It's another scam.  If it comes up on your call display, either block it or just ignore it.  They are also using 403-410-2058 for the same scam.

I have my google phone number forwarded to my Calgary cell. This was the google forwarder ringing my phone.

Same thing... missed call, when I called back the recording said "no longer in service".
