They called to my cell phone.

They've called me several times (Carrie), trying to sell my car if I pay them $399 and they say they have a 60 day gaurantee as well. I googled them and all I found were scam reports. Don't think I'll go through them

just listed my truck again and they come back out of the woodwork. Some girl with the same line. Confirmed everything in my add then the pitch about selling my truck for a $300 fee crap. If this was real, why would i give someone $300 to sell my truck and they make 15%+ off the poor sap who bought it off them???

This number is from a scam company called "Private Vehicle Exchange" They offer to sell your vehicle for more money if you pay them 399 up front. It's b***s*** and please google "private vehicle exchange scams" before giving them money!

Exact same thing today, got a call from them so I googled it. Is that all who calls you nowadays? Good thing, the internet can STOP scams too.

We keep getting the same calls.  Today's person said he was George in construction from Calgary.  You can tell they are remarketers.  They never ask many questions about your vehicle, mostly just about how many people have been phoning and showing interest in it!

I got the same thing... earlier this week I recieved a call from a similar number stating they were wanting to sell my car to a private owner in British Columbia. Guaranteed they would sell it within 60 days or my money back. "Adam" then Stated he would refund my $299.00 minus the $100.00 processing fee, if the car didn't sell in 60 days.  I told him he was crazy if he thought I was going to pay him a dime! Just got another call today.

Same exact scenario 2/25/09.

called my cell phone about a car I am selling in Orange County, California.  Said they were a private owner and not a company soliciting my business to sell the car for me.  Then all of the sudden I hear a phone ringing at the other end of the line and the caller is gone.  Why would I be receiving a call from a Canadian phone number???
