Just got a call from this number. The man had an East Indian accent and said he was calling for a lifestyle company supposedly from Ottawa, Ontario. He knew my age. He was asking questions about whether or not I had an investment advisor, the approximate amount of my investments and earnings, whether or not I owned my house or not. He asked if I knew which was better, having investments in GICs/bonds or dividends. After all the questions he said someone would be calling me next week to give me free advice. I said I wasn't interested.

Just got a call today from this number it was a female with an Asian voice, she said she was working with CMHC and was looking for Mrs. ... and used my maiden name (don't know where she got that) started asking questions if I own the home and that they are working with the big banks to get lower mortgage rates then wanted to know what my current rate was I said "Why would I give you that info I don't know who you are" and then she hung up on me.

'Canadian Lifestyle Centre' does not exist. True there are lifestyle centres in Canada but none that use this specific name.
The whole thing is a criminal venture. If they know your name it is because they looked it up in a phone listing.
Exactly what do RRSPs and TFSAs have to do with a lifestyle centre. The whole thing reeks of another south Asian scam, apparently not a very successful one since they don't seem to be able to get people to reveal any personal info once they start asking questions about income and investments etc.
BTW I believe that the last 4 digits 4568 are very popular among those who spoof numbers. Apparently, by the time they have keyed in the area code and first three numbers, they have completely spent any creativity they might have.
Expect to hear from them again as they've called many times already...just keep changing the '852'!!!

I asked where he was calling from, he said "Life Style Centre in Ontario", I asked him why his area code is showing 403 Alberta. He said because it's an Internet phone then asked if he could ask some survey questions, it would take a minute. I said no thanks and he hung up.
These callers are spoofing the caller ID number, no telling where they are really calling from. It's hard to block these calls because the caller can just spoof another random phone number.
"Life Style Centre" is another term for a shopping mall, so it doesn't mean anything.

Guy with an Indian accent asked from someone who doesn't live here (this is a business). I said I think you have the wrong number. He said that it was okay, that they were conducting a survey so anyone could participate. Told me it would take 20 seconds. I figured one, maybe two questions in there, sure why not! Started asking about our household income, investments we have, asking if I wanted to sign up for RRSPs and TFSAs. Survey my a**. I hung up.

This number just called me. I answered, they asked for someone that doesn't even live here. It was a slight Indian-ish accent. Then they said "is this Ms. ***" and said my last name. I said no. Then they said "but you are renting your house, no?" And I asked who it was... They gave me a name, and I told them it was the wrong number, and he hung up...

I just got a call from this number. Identified himself (no name - just British Asian accent) as from Canadian Lifestyle doing a survey. Wanted to know if I was the homeowner- knew my name already. When I asked who was funding the survey he hung up.

The caller with an Indian accent addressed me by my name and introduced himself as Roy from Canadian Lifestyle Centre. This is not the first time these scammers call me. Every time they call from a different number - this one is from Alberta, previously they called from a Manitoba number (204-852-4567). I told him that I had already requested to remove me off his calling list. He promptly hung up on me.
On a previous occasion when they had called me about two months ago and the operator tried to go into his spiel, I interrupted him asking where he was calling from. He said he was calling from Canadian Lifestyle Centre and asked whether I had any other questions. When I asked him to remove my number from the calling list, the idiot tried to get fresh with me: "I have a number of lists here. What list would you like me to remove you from: A, B, C or D?"
I hung up. !@#$ all telemarketers along with the people who cannot find a real job and work for them.
