They just called me and they asked me to sponsor a kid to go to a camp somewhere by Bragg creek
I've agreed to do so then I was transferred to a secured line where they asked me to pay 150.00 by my Visa card
Then I told them that I don't wanna use my Visa card over the phone on which they said "it's ok,they've Ben doing it for last 3 years "
I didn't like the way they talk to me so I google the number they phoned from and that was it they were gone from the secure line

this number calls me at least twice a day, every day and it's driving us crazy!! who is this? how can I get them to stop? I am registered on the do not call registry!!!!!

A call center soliciting for donations...its always a different donation: Camp Kiwanis, Sponsor a Kid for Stampede, ect. I don't trust cold calls such as this and especially when they start off by saying "this is a recorded call from.." they say they provide tax receipts but I also do not know if that is true or not. I always err on the side of cation and do not give money to organizations via telephone. Not sure how they found my # as they call my work number constantly.

They called me several times as with others there is no one on the line...very weir!! It is a Calgary number; so who are they and what is their business? I phoned them back and a recording says that they are canvassing for the Kiwanis camp organization. You have to leave a message to let them know you are not interested and removed your number from their calling list. Which I don't know if that will work so quickly as we liked sometime it take a month before they do it and then their campaign is over and the following year it starts all over...
