Same problem here. Started at about 9:50 PM. Had to unplug phone and call provider. They can't do anything tonight so I'm without a usable phone. I'm getting credit for one day lost.

Several calls

This seems like a scam to end all scams. They have a recorded voice that identifies itself as "Lisa" or "Emily", or various other names, you can't talk to a real person no matter what you do, and when I was asked for my name I identified as "Satan, Lord of the Underworld" and the reply was a peppy "okay!"

Same number, 3 days of calls day and night.  Blocked the call on Rogers Home Phone....no luck.  Called Rogers Tech support and they blocked the call as well.  As I was on the phone with Rogers, the call came through.  The Rogers Tech thinks its a new "multiplexing" technique being used that displays a fake number the call is not originated from. All the call blocking systems don't currently know how to handle this.  Meaning the number that is displayed on our phones is not the number the call is originating from.  Unfortunately the call blocking system only block the numbers displayed.  For now we are SOL.

I have reported these calls to the CRTC after being inundated and having our voicemail box fill up with 50 calls after we finally unplugged the phone.

Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The first thing to do is buy a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.

If you cannot afford or use such a tool, then:
* Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
* Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers!  All that does is verify your phone number!  And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.
* If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.

We have been getting this call every 2 minutes!!! ALL NIGHT LONG!!! We are cancelling our home phone.  Do not call list my butt!

Got the same calls from Emily at 20/20 saving.  Non stop for 2 hours while we were out, filled our vmail and continued when we got home (1/2 hr. ago).  Had to block the number to make it stop!!!  One call just made it through again, considering unplugging our phone.  Please have them stop!!!  It's 11 p.m. And kids asleep!!!!

Started calling me at 845 when putting my kids to bed. They've been calling every 5 minutes since. I unplugged the phone. Will try it in the morning.

Getting phone calls from "Emily" from 20/20 Savings, about saving money on mortgage accounts.  Started calling here at 9 pm, and has called back every 5 or so minutes since.  Tried leaving the phone off the hook for half an hour, as soon as I hung the phone back up, they calls started coming again!  I tried calling Bell, to talk to the operator, they hung up on me!  Reverse look up show the number as 403-907-0199.... please make them stop!!!!  

same as above.  Annoying.  Why can these companies get away with this??

I'm receiving a call from callbot Emily from 20 20 savings every minute. I hang up and I get another call. No number or info online to stop these calls.

I'm receiving calls from 20 20 savings at this number every 2 minutes!!  Filed a complaint with Do Not Call, wish there was some way to make this stop!

said it was emily from diabetes care now... called non stop, i answered and said i wasnt interested in any of their service, i received more than 100calls in a day from them, my solution was to disconnect mlthe house phone

left a message,
said they were 20 20 savings, and that they could save me money on my mortgage and banking plans,
