Royal Elite timeshare sales associates are willing to tell you basically anything that you want to hear just to get you to sign, you should be able to ask as many questions as you have, you should be able to sleep on the decision you are about to make, specially is we are talking thousands of dollars, you should be able to review the hotel and the contract, if the contract is not giving to you to read it and review it.. THEN DO NOT SIGN, it means that everything you have being hearing during the presentation is a total and utter lie: http://goo.gl/6cLYr2

I got this call today. I think it's funny how some people say scam and don't even listen to people. I contacted both the toll free number AND sandos resort and they confirmed the offer and the agent I was speaking to. I purchased a package. Still I called my credit card company with the receipt number and they traced it back to the resort. People, resorts have to advertise too. Not everything and everyone in this world are bad. I've already booked my dates and I'm going to be enjoying the sunshine at the end of April! Got my confirmation email too.

Hi there! The exact same scam artist called my cell phone from a different number, but same story. I want to know what you did? Did you go through with giving them your credit card number? I'm so worried, if they've clearly done this to many people.

"you have been selected to win XXXX Airmiles press 1 to claim your prize"
Sandos Resort was my Airmiles "deal" of choice.
Here are some of the key things they say when I said what company routes the calls to them.  "I don't know, I'm not the IT guy to know the system".  "I would be working for corporate if I knew this informaiton".  He didnt' want to give me the information.  I told them that this is a shady way of doing business if this is indeed legit.    FYI he said he was from Mexico (had a spanish accent for sure).

"You are the one who picked #1 sir"... grrrrrrrr......

Keep them on for a while just for fun.  It wastes their time.   Give them fake credit card info off the internet.  Lead them on for a while.

I asked what companies are involved.   I got: Airmiles,  RCI Resort companies and Sandos.   I was told I can call Sandos Resort and still get their rep to get a deal with them.   I asked if they ask for my credit card over the phone and laughed....  People are stupid enough to give a card number over a cold call?!   DUMB.  This is why they do it... stupid people that get Scammed and then we get calls.  Or stupid people that actually buy this deal perpetuating more cold calls.

Did you end up booking  with them?  I'm curious because we just got conned and we are concerned that they will max out our credit card.  Can't believe we fell for it?  Hoping that our bank will reverse the charge.  I am going to go to the police tomorrow to find out if there is a legit scam going on because I'm thinking that is the only way that our bank will reimburse us.  Your story is exactly the way ours played out!  I have always been sceptical of these things - not sure why I fell for this one.  The weird thing is that when I check my callers list, the number shows up on my phone is a local number that is out of service!  How the hell did they do that?

This number called and showed it was from Alberta, Canada.  I didn't pick up.  It left a message saying they were calling about the job interview and to call back.  I could make up to $1,000+ a week.

I got a call from these scammers as well .... the guy's name was Julio, and the original call came from 604-910-9259, which is local to me !!!  I was reading this thread while I was on the phone with him.  I told him to give me a call back number, and he wouldn't, and so I said I'm going to hang up.  He initially asked for $99 booking fee, and then he said the vacation package was actually $999.00 for both the Maya Reviera and the Orlando resort packages.  And he said they represent the Sando resorts .... apparently the whole thing is a bunch of BS.  They're just pure scammers.  Thankfully I didn't give them any details; not even my name.

Angie, I am going to join your crusade.  These clowns call three of my phone numbers multiple times a week and I have tried everything to get them to stop.  They have ticked me off enough that it's now time to go on the offensive....  We now know the origin (Spain), names, and addresses, and associated websites of those responsible.
It's likely that a cyber attack on there websites is imminent.  They are a plague on society and have disrupted enough lives that it's time to disrupt their operations.

I have been on a crusade to shut these scammers down. They have recently gone as far as using some innocent person's phone number as their caller-id. The caller-ID started showing up as a local number the last few weeks and with the same area code and first 3 pre-fix's as my number. I thought it was a co-worker but alas it was the pre-recorded call. It ranges anywhere from, 'you've won a trip to the bahamas', 'for being a westjet customer you've won a prize', 'for being a telus customer you have won a prize, 'you have won 2000 airmile points', insurance agencies etc...it is never ending...i am just mad that they are using innocent people's caller ID's...probably using mine too! I called WestJet, Sandals Resort (because they posed as them on my first call i pressed "1") and today, telus. It just sucks no one can seem to get to the bottom of who is originating these calls. At the end of the day, someone said they were "Global group travels" and have a special offer from Sandos Resort in the Riviera maya...but who knows. When i asked more questions, they hung up on me. TWICE! If I were Sandos - and they aren't employing marketing people to make these calls, i would worry about 3rd party ruining their reputation!!

I hope some big company finds them then burns their phone lines!!!

Called my work stating I won Air Miles free vacation.  It was Adrianna from Global Group Travel. I asked her why she would be calling a business and she hung up.  There needs to be a way to contact this fraudulent company and shut them down.  This is a scam and I don't know how they are getting away with it.

I got a call from 11-403-986-2586. The guy - Sean - sounds south african. he said it was a Westjet promo and it was through Sandals. the company name was Global  Group travel. I can't find anything on the internet about it except for comments such as these by other wary people. They were trying to get me to buy a package to Mexico.

Scam- scam  -They called from 1 403 905 8000 and introduced themselves as West Jet vacation promotions and asked if I am interested in a great deal 6 days and 5 nights in Mexico to press 1, when I did I got rerouted somewhere. Guy by name Purgeon answered and said there is a great deal to Maya Rivera 6 days 5 nights I have 18 months to book this. Then he continued and said I had  a second trip also to Orlando Florida 5 day 4 nights that I had 15 months to book from the time I booked May Riviera trip but I had to pay $ 999 today by using visa or master card.
He said they are promoting resort and new group Kariza at the website but I had to use them I could not use web site to book this   http://www.karismahotels.com/HotelsResorts/ForEveryone
I asked what group they represent and he said they are Global Group Travel
Thank you to all posts I did not give them my visa card as it is a Scam

Ok

So I think this is what the deal is...

This is now the 13+ phone call and normally I just don't answer.

So the first person says Global Group Travel then they transfer you to the http://karismahotels.com.
Where they go on for hour about how great a deal they have.
This second call center would not tell me who forwarded me.

They asked for my credit card and I told them who would be stupid enough to release a credit card to some guy I have no idea who is calling. Then he goes on and on about my credit card would protect me. But I respond with how can they protect me from you selling my number to 100 people that make fakes and try to purchase 100 different items...
At the point I hung up because it was waste of breath.

So next time they call, you have to get the details from this so called "Global Group Travel" once they forward you its pointless.
Not sure if anyone has some good advice how we might get some further info about of them.

As posted above:
They called themselves "Global Group Travel", but as soon as I asked them to confirm this, they hung up.  It's obvious they know they'd be charged with a $10,000 fine for calling while on the DNC list.

I've not bothered to check, but I'm sure you'd find that no such company exists.  They will likely be a numbered entity.  Their number is owned by Bell, and for the person asking why you can't call them back, it's because they've chosen to let you see "(403) 912-8989" but that's not the number associated with the SIP they're using to dial you from.

They're using IP telephony, and it does make it more difficult to figure out who they are and how to get them charged.  Anyway, obvious scam

On September 26 they called me today... so I listened to Rebecca Miller share her offering... she is offering $2500 credit (even tho in the press 1 message it said 2500 Air Miles) and the credit is to be used exclusively on the package that she gave me details of...

4days 3 nights in Orlando
3 Days 2 Nights in Daytona Beach
3 Days 2 Nights in Hollywood Beach, FL
and at two of these places you must listen to a 90 Minute timeshare presentation with your spouse... and they will allow you to buy this package... which oh by the way comes with a free Economy car rental... normally priced at $4000, but with your $2500 discount, and for good measure you can bring your two kids free we will charge you only $624 per adult so thats only $1247. What a great deal hey!! AHHH HECK NO!! I just looked on Book it.com... can get a really nice 2 bedroom condo, airfare, and car rental for my entire family for 14 Days and nights leaving from Calgary... for $2300!! Flight alone was over $2000 with Westjet (seem to always get a better deal booking hotel and flight together) anyway... their deal SUCKS you PREPAY for the pleasure of them trying to sell you timeshare!!

But in the recording their was an option to press 9 I believe and be taken off their call list forever! (who knows if they honor it)

Best of luck to you all... sometimes listening in on timeshare is a great way to score a cheap holiday, in this case NO!
