They've switched their caller ID to AT&T reward center.  Not interested at all. Will never answer a solicitation call.  If I want something,  I'll call you.

been getting calls from 404-201-6957, caller ID is "AT&T Reward Ctr".  We do not answer, but they are relentless in their calls.  One would think since AT&T is getting smeared by low-lives they would do something about it with all their technologies.   But when we called, they said there was nothing they could do about it.  So there it is folks, we have to get used to it.  

They wanted me to switch my current phone and Internet setup with AT&T to UVerse. When I said I was not interested in UVerse, she became rude and said they would call back. Meaning they will keep calling until I change my mind? Whatever! I called back, and a nicer young man told me they were trying to get people to change over to UVerse, but said they cannot switch you if you did not want to. The rude one tried to make it sound like I did not have a choice. I am calling AT&T tomorrow (they were already closed) to file a complaint. I called the number back, and it gave an option to be put on their do not call list, so I did that also. If I get another call, I will file a complaint with the FCC and the BBB. People are ridiculous, and I am not taking it!

Finally answered one of the numerous calls from "AT&T SVC CTR" this evening.  Guy on crappy phone line asking me about upgrading to U-Verse.  Sounded like he was in a call center, but the line was so bad it was hard to tell.

He asserted that DSL *repair service* was going to soon be discontinued.  "Basically I might as well upgrade now" was the idea he was trying to convey.  He was more than slightly pushy and wanted me to confirm my address so he could "confirm that service was available in my area."  That sounded damn peculiar, so I politely tried to disengage myself from the phone call.  He asked when would be a good time to call back, so I gave him a window when I knew I wouldn't be around.

As soon as I got off the phone with him, I called the AT&T DSL service line and asked them about this.  The lady I spoke with assured me that no, AT&T is *not* discontinuing repair service on existing lines.  Furthermore, any legit AT&T representative would *already have* my service address, and the ONLY information they would ask for is, perhaps, the last four of my SS# *AFTER* I decided to proceed with an upgrade.

I thanked her for her time and was relieved that I didn't blindly walk into something illegitimate with Mr. Pushy.

Now if I can just figure out where to report these a-holes, I'll be all set.

I have already posted about this number being someone calling from  AT&T.  .  Through research I found out that if you decide to go with UVerse you will pay around $600-$800 in service fees for hooking you up.  UVerse does not come through your phone line, but has to have special wiring into your home and depending if your wiring is in good shape or not the price changes.  When they hooked up my phone 10 years ago I got a service bill for over $1000.  Yes $1000 is what the bill was.  The house already had phone lines they just had to check them out.  They never told us before hand so we were floored but we could pay it so that was that.  However I will never have AT&T ever do any work on my lines again at a new residence or get any of their products.  It is a ripoff.  According to Consumer reports UVerse is mediocre at best falling half way down the scale.

Caller ID shows "AT&T SVC CTR". Called twice within the past two days. No message left.

Got a call from this number in the evening yesterday and again at 9:19 this morning.  AT&T Serv Center.  I do not buy from people calling me, when I want to change my contract or service with a company I call them.  With all the scam calls today I just never pick up anymore.  In fact most of the time my phone with the answering machine is unplugged with a caller ID hooked to another phone, which I check through out the day.  Saves on the nerves hearing even that first ring that signals blocking taking place.  Peace reins in my home now and the important calls get returned promptly.

Getting these scam calls up to 3-4 times daily.

There you have it folks - the kind of trash who insists on vilifying informed consumers while whining that we should listen to their scammy spiel!

This person called, a lady, said the modums for the internet was being shut off and new ones were being made and it would decrease the bill. When I asked question, I grew suspicious, especially when she couldn't remember what she originally said and when she asked account question, I responded with "you should have my account in front of you" and she didn't respond. This is an imposter using the caller id "ATT Service Center".

I just got a call, obviously a telemarketer as the phone was quiet for a moment..I wanted to see what they wanted and was shocked when the person asked if I was Mrs. --- , giving my real name. It freaked me out and got nowhere when trying to report to AT&T.  

He's a TM for the Uverse crew yef. He's hit a couple of threads recently. It must really suck to sit all day trying to peddle unwanted services to people who aren't happy with the service they're already getting from a provider they really wish they could be rid of in the first place. I guess that's why call center cretins are so "highly paid"!

Not any time soon! In the world of Internet service a couple of years may as well be a lifetime. In 5 years fiber-optic may be antiquated. We may all be using satellite or 5, 6, 7 or 8 LTE. Who knows? For that matter, in 5 years we all may be back to ringing up the operator or tapping out messages in Morse code! Especially with AT&T. I got rid of them YEARS ago!

You people have got to be the most stupid people on this planet....I work in this department we are AT&T ask her what a "UID" is and look at her face after... There are so many departments inside AT&T that they all can't communicate with each other so some are unaware that ours even exist.(if that doesn't help ask her about the migration blue department).. We switch people over so they don't have to pay to switch over when the time comes and it's mandatory, just so you know. We are in Texas not overseas. If your daughter works for AT&T she needs to go back to training I really hope your family doesn't procreate god help us if you do

Asked if I wanted to upgrade to Uverse. Called ATT customer service and they told me this was NOT ATT.

Called at noon today - we did not answer.  Caller I.D. sez ATT SVC CTR -- No message left at all.  We are NOT calling back!

I have been receiving calls from this number 404-201-6957 for the last few days.  I always delete the call when it shows up.  My daughter who works for AT&T told me that it was not one of their numbers.  She said to report it as soon as possible. .

Just got a call from this number.  No message left.  Called back, I was asked if I wanted to upgrade my AT&T internet service.  I do have AT&T internet service, but if I wanted to upgrade, I will call THEM, not the other way around!

Spoke with the real AT&T today and it is NOT THEM CALLING. This is another scumbag low life piece of crap telemarketer that should be prosecuted to the full extent of the laws. All these scurge should be wiped from the face of the earth like the rest of their trash.

Sometimes "AT&T SVC CTR" calls 2-3 times a day, not leaving a message.  I am suspecting a spoofed caller ID, since I have my doubts if these calls are actually from AT&T.  Perhaps it's some scam operation trying to "slam" your phone service to some unknown company, via using a faked AT&T caller ID.  I knew someone whose phone service was switched, and he had a hard time getting back to his original phone service.  He ended up losing his ability to make long distance calls, and when he called AT&T, he was told his service was no longer with them.  Beware.
