We all have or had debt at one point. Were human and not perfect. And as far as these people they are collection people trying to recover a debt. It dont give them a right to harass its a tactic to make people pay. Problem solved. The economys debt is because the crooked president and office officals .go figure

I have been receiving calls from an automated dialer form this number leaving a threatening message that the sheriff was coming to see me if I didn't return their calls. I know they are a collection agency and that doesn't scare me in the least. However, their message whne left on my answering machine is clearly there for anyone to hear. They say if this isn't Robert please hang up. How do you tell an answering machine to hang up ? I spoke with my attorney and he said to notify the FTC which I am in the process of doing

they also use the number 402-683-3081 ---  AND they have caller ID on their end so that if you do call back, they already know to whom they are talking.  I got a really dumb woman, sounded like she had a mouth full of cotton or candy.  Had trouble pronouncing the firm name as well as their fax number.  I told them to go to hell.

I received a call from this vanderberg chase company and a guy posing as an investigator named robert steele @ 888-812-2922x3024 called my cell phone and left a voicemail stating that i needed to make a decision on a so called case against me in the county i live in and then the next day, he calls again and leaves another message stating the case was against me and my husband in my county of residence and then on the following monday, I get a call from 513-257-0132 and its an automated recording that didnt give no name just said I needed to give a statement in the case against just me so they could turn their client and they left a number for me to call. 888-470-0020, so I called it back just to see where it was from and it was vanderberg chase..the lady i talked to was very rude and I told her that this is not the person they were looking for, she said "I will remove your number from our system." and very rudely hung up and I havent heard anything since then. Hopefully I won't hear from them any more. THEY ARE LIARS AND SCAMMERS AND ARE NOT GETTING ANY MONEY FROM ME AND I HOPE NOBODY ELSE SENDS THEM ANY EITHER BECAUSE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF ROYALLY.

I recently had an interview with this company. Upon my arrival I was given what I thought the normal prehire paperwork to complete. To my surprise the paperwork included a 5 page contract that all collectors must initial. Basically VCA dissassociates itself from the collectors. Stating the collectors are to consider themselves independant contractors. The contract also states that as independant contractors they are hiring under the assumptions that the collectors have acquired all licenses and certifications required to do there job effectively. I spoke with the "team" mgr. in reference to this and several other  clauses in the contract which he replied "when I first started here I was about getting that paper".  My question to all my "readers". To be considered as an independant contractor and to fill out a 1099, does one not have to have a business license? What was even more evadent was what I felt the racial under tones. Needless to say I thanked the "team" manager for the experience not opportunity and Im continuing to explore my options.

I am a vicitim of receiving these phone calls as well.  My ex of 4 years called me yesterday to inform me that a lady name Investigator Gordon called looking for me stating that I am being investigated for check and credit card fraud.  She said I have been applying for credit and using this number with my applications.  Keep in my mind, me and my ex have not been together in 4 years and I do not have the house number (the one "Gordon" called) only the cell number. These supposely investigator gave out my social security number to my ex.  When I called the number back, she told me it was from Ace or some other name company Ace may go by in my town.  This is a debt that is dated in 2005 and charged off my credit.  When I asked for information being sent to me about this debt she stated she can not send me anything.  When she mentioned they are not collection agents but needed my credit or debit card number to settle this debt or a processor would serve me papers.  I agreed to get involved in the Fresh Start program that is court monitored and split the debt into 2 payments not knowing if this was true.  So I ask for an address as to where I can send my payments and she repeated I can only pay by debit or credit over the phone.  What kind of legit business operate like this?  I would rather wait to be served papers and have to pay more money in court fees rather than take a chance and be scammed.  When I called the collection agency on my credit report, I was notified to call Vanderburgh, Chase, and Associates @ 404-249-1099.  When I called the number I did not get an answer.

I was employed by VCA for a few weeks....everyday the mgmt. would change the amount to be collected and what to say to the debtors. Other employees would be arguing and yelling on the phone, just being plain rude and also like said in other stories, LYING!!!!! They would have a script for us to say about the call is in reference to legal court proceedings. I had a few customers to pay but only because they said I wasn't rude like previous collectors. I am glad I'm not there anymore. I used to watch and listen to the lies they would tell. I know there is a recession but they are trying to get money the wrong way.

I have an old unpaid debt/payday loan from Ace as well from 2005, a very difficult personal/financial time, received harrassing/threatening calls - very similar too everyone else complaining) too from these guys (Vandenburg Chase)at my sister/elderly father's home - they took my emergency contact info and called everyone on that list - and from their collection agency (ARG - Asset Recovery Group).   If you are unsure of the validity of the debt and amount - call ACE Collections 888-753-2355 to verify and they can tell you who they sold the debt to - mine was sold twice.   Here is contact info for Vandenburg Chase:

I received a call from Mr. Green of Vanderberg Chase & Associates trying to get a phone number for a family member.  We googled the company name and got all the above comments.  I was told to have the family member call
Mr.King at 877-822-2677 (extension 1013).  I called the FTC and made a complaint.  I was told to send a registered (return receipt requested) letter  to the company demanding that they cease and desist.

Unfortunately, I myself encountered this. I was threatened and was told if I didnt pay the ACE account that police officers were going to pick me up at work. I really got scared because I worked at a school district and I didnt want these to happen. Stupid me I gave a payment of $200 on August 19,2008 and then they debited on September 25, 2008 another $220 dollars. Just two days ago I got a call from another agency saying that I owe ACE CASH $408 dollars wheree I had already paid these other scum bags!

Funny thing is I have been speaking to them for several days now. All I want is a copy of whatever application was used to apply for this loan. They have not provided it to me as of yet. As far as going to jail- I worked at a bank where 2 people opened accts with fake info-wrote checks for several thousands of dollars at various stores, used several aliases, when they finally got caught, they went to court and got a year probation. I don't think they are looking to put people in jail for $350.00

I was also called by this company amd I was informed, not threatened, about a bill I misplaced two years ago. A lot was going on and I just simply forgot to pay it. Once they gave me all the information I needed to verify the bill, I gladly paid it. These people are legit and you shouldn't be blaming them for your mistakes. It is better to take care of it than be in denial and suffer consequences later. Take responsibility!!! If you honestly didn't write the check or whatever else it may be, then maybe someone has stolen your identity. It's good to know now so you can handle it before it's too late.

Beware of this company and give them no information. This is a registered collection agency but is in fact a terrorist cell who's sole purpose is to collect information for identity theft. The principal corporate head of this company is registered under the name of "Smith" but is in fact Mohammed Ahmed. This company is under investigation by Homeland Security.

I have been dealing with these idiots for several months and I was stupid enough to give them my debit card info.  It was supposed to have been for only a few payments, but now they debit whenever they want to. My bank said that because it was on my debit card they could not put a stop pay on it, and that in order to stop it I would have to either call and ask them to stop or cancel my card and get another.  Any suggestions?

I've been getting calls looking for my brother. "Miss Jackson" at extension 3034 has left messages saying my brother is wanted for fraud and will serve two years in jail if he doesn't contact her. I called today and was told "Miss Jackson" no longer works for the company. I explained to the woman that I'd received threatening messages that I knew were illegal, and wanted it to end immediately. She seemed concerned and said she'd contact a manager. I was on hold for several minutes, then got a voice message. I left my name and number, but haven't gotten a reply yet.
I'm amazed at the amount of things that show up when you Google this company's name, and how far back the complaints go.

Ok, So you got a loan and didn't pay it back? You gave a check to cover it and it bounced? You think they are the scammers????? Are you kidding me????? Pay your debt, you stole from these payday loan companies, and are now looking for any reason to not pay them back. You are all pond scum.
Now, I do not agree that they should be breaking the FDCPA, that is against the law. But there should be a law that makes you scammers pay your bills. Maybe it should be legal to have you arrested for writing a bad check. Oh, Wait there is....and how many people actually write good comments about bill collectors? Look up, Verizon,  Blockbuster, Comcast, see if there are any complaints about them...All you do is complain instead of taking care of your responsibilities...you are a drain on society.

This week my parents (who live in TN) got a phone call from Michael Hart looking for my husband's ex-wife (who lives in Indiana and has been divorced for 10 years).  they told my dad, who has impeccable credit, that his name was associated with this person and this debt.  There is no way in the world that my parents are associated with my husband's ex-wife and her debts. They didn't even know her name. My dad called them back and supposedly they will not be harrassing my parents anymore.  The ex-wife and I have the same first initial, "C".  The people at this "business" said that must have been where the confusion came from.  RIDICULOUS!
