It is Comcast calling, it is a number for the install scheduling department

Odd but this call came in with a caller ID as one of my friends on my contact list...not sure why though.

lol good to know what the rest of the message was I missed the call and got a voicemail that just said "America". Much more cryptic that way.

these fools called me and said : thank you for being a citizen of the United States of America".  He caught me off guard and I said - -  what?....then the fool repeated it again. What the heck is going on? They better be glad I have unlimited calling or I would be on the search for the owner of this number.

Got a call from this number at 11:16pm on 5-25-2012 with Caller ID showing Comcast.  A female voice said the following and hung up.  "Thank you for being a proud American Citizen."

I called Comcast (I am a customer) on 5-26-2012 and their rep. said that Comcast logs ALL outgoing calls to customer numbers whether from a machine or human and that there was no record of them making this call.

Just received a call with a recording that said "Thank for being a solid citizen of America". After a long pause, it repeated the message.

This is also the number that pops up from Comcast Business Services. They were calling to schedule an installation. From all these notes, it looks like all Comcast-related traffic pops up on this number.

Recieved call from this number after I placed a "For Rent" sign on lawn of vacant property. Concerned about the intentions of caller. Whether he was actually interested in the house or he was searching for the owner and trying to find the owner's personal home address. A lot of break ins in the area.

Very concerned, any ideas?

This number is on my caller ID every day. Today I answered it to find only an open line. It shows up with Tonia Davis and this number.

Received this call on my cell phone.  No message left.  Apparently, it does belong to Comcast.

This is the number Comcast uses to call you and confirm that you will/will not still be needing the repair appointment you have made for problems w/ your Comcast Internet/TV service. They are calling to make sure you will be there, or to see if you no longer need the technician.

Actually, when this number called, the automated message stated that "This was a telemarketing call from Comcast"...Trying to sell us bundle deals.  Calls our cel phone, very annoying.

This is the standard number for Comcast Business Class (sales department).

Comcast confirming a service call.

I received a few calls from Comcast over the last few days about an appointment I didn't make.  I am 14 years old, Comcast obviously has the wrong number. Can these be stopped?

This is Comcast.  They could call for a variety of reasons.  I just got a call and they left a message.  It was a recorded message saying that they were updating their system and I would need to reset the settings on my cable box for parental controls.

This number is Comcast. They either have the wrong number or you haven't paid your bill. I forgot to pay my bill and they called me. I paid now it's settled.

Are you currently or have you been a customer with Comcast?  If so, they will continue to call you, until you notify them, preferably by mail, via certified mail.

I completely agree.  They call our cell phone and having to run across the house, thinking it is an important call, is quite aggravating.  Fortunately, with the cel phone we have, Samsung T339 (Tmobile), it has a feature that you can block numbers at no charge.

The only way to actually stop them from calling you, is to send a letter requesting to be removed from there telemarketing/soliciting list.  Best way to prove that you sent a letter, is by certified mail, signature required.
Telling them to stop calling you or calling them to say you no longer wish to be contacted, will not work.  They are like many aggressive companies, such as AT&T and will keep calling until you notify them by mail to stop.
Right now, I am certain they are hurting for business, with the way the economy has been and many families having to make sacrifices and cut back on unnecessary things.

Actually, even though your number is on the DO NOT CALL LIST, if you are a customer or were a customer of Comcast, they can call you and are not violating the DNCL.  You have to send them a letter, asking they remove your number or if you are current customer, you wish not to receive soliciting calls from them.

We have found out the hard way, you cannot tell them to stop calling, you must send them a letter, requesting not to be contacted at the number.  Be sure to send it certified mail, signature request.  That way, you have proof they received it and after they receive your request via postal service, then you can file a complaint.

Comcast LOVES calling people, even if you ask them not to call you.

The caller from this number is Comcast. Either they were confirming a service call that was made or soliciting.

I also received this same calling number on my cell phone. If you put your name on the do not call registration they are not allowed to solicit you. if they do and you can provide the name OR number that called you they can face penalities.  It is not legal for telemarketers to solicit you if you are on the do not call registration. To put your cell phone on the do not call list call 1-888-382-1222. You must call from the cell phone you want to register. Effective January 2009 they opened up telemarketers to have the ability to solicit you on your cell. Hope this will help you to avoid annoying telemarketers.
