Another tie-line robo-caller from a call center in India, offering another variation on the you have won a cruise scam.  In particular, you will be asked to provide a credit card number to pay port fees/taxes up front, for something which will never be fulfilled, and $500 in fees may eventually become $1000s in fraudulent charges.  They must be finding a lot of gullible people that give them credit card data, so these call centers can continue to be funded.  More calls from telephone terrorists and devil worshippers in India, grouped into nuisance, scam and fraud calls.  A pox on them.  The more people complain to the FTC, the better the chances are these animals will be shut down and their sponsors caged, along with the companies that issue them telephone numbers to use for committing crimes. The worst thing you can do is to give them personal data and credit card numbers over the phone - DON'T!

Unfortunately, as this is a major election year for Congress, local dog catchers, sheriffs, etc., we can expect an increasing number of these types of fraudulent calls to annoy us and try to steal our money and identities.  It is also an opportunity to vote out of office all of the firebreathers, tea partyers and other wackos who shut down the Government last year for 16 days, who still oppose Obamacare (despite the fact that millions of their constituents have been able to sign up for affordable health care), and who are shameless liars and embarrass the U.S. with their dumb behavior.  Do not donate anything over the phone to anyone, period; an open invitation to fraud and the countless bandits who will simply pocket your "donations."  IF YOU ARE IN A POSITION OF RESPONSIBILITY OR ARE AN ELECTED OFFICIAL, BE PART OF THE SOLUTION, NOT PART OF THE PROBLEM, AND CULTURE TEAMWORK AT ALL TIMES!

It is assumed that all improperly or incompletely identified numbers are from the increasing number of scams, frauds, tie-lines, etc. This is why everyone must contact their elected reps in DC to demand that they significantly strengthen the DNC laws, providing extremely severe dollar and prison sentences for violators, and give more strength to the FTC.  This is an opportunity for Congress to actually do something useful for the country, not just pass gas and throw spitballs at each other.  Any business must be properly identified with their legal name on Caller Id, not hide behind Not Available, Private, Unavailable, etc.  It is time to ban any kind of solicitation call, whether telemarketer, charitable, political, survey, opinion poll or whatever, plus outlaw any use of tie lines, robo-callers, VoIP,  or use of numbers not issued by a legitimate, FCC licensed common carrier (telephone company).  You can be assured that funds donated or authorized over the phone will mostly go into the pockets of the organizers, not to the charity or political campaign, or intended purpose, along with a $10 donation showing up as $100s in charges.  Never give a credit card number or any personal data to anyone over the phone. There must be a new scam and fraud being generated every second out there.  We need call control, not gun control!

I'm using an answering machine.
If I recognize the number, I pick it up. If not, the answering machine picks it up with this message:

"Hello.
Due to the high volume of junk calls. we are screening our calls.
Leave a message after the tone.
Thank you."

Works like a charm. The 'lower rear orifice' person hangs up; only the machine robocalls keep on yapping.

You're a no better than those scumbags.
I do not have a phone (I'm paying for) to receive calls from strangers for ANY reason whatsoever repeat, FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, (got it?), other than which is my VITAL personal(!) interest.
NO person (telemarketer included) has ANY right to accost me anywhere in any shape or form for ANY reason to offer, inform of, push, any of his S*** for any reason - period.
How dare you think that you have the right to even stop me on the street - for instance - b/c you want to sell something or just want information?

You don't sell anything but want a survey? Guess what is my answer: "Information is not free; it never has been, it never will be. If you want any of it, you'll have to pay me for it. So how much are you offering?"
Click...

They are parasites - pure and simple.

Those fooled by the "free cruise" scammers, will be left, waiting at the dock, for a ship that never comes, while the scammers sail away with their credit card information!

Thanks for the research - just got the call today. My Nomorobo blocked the call after 1 ring. I should use their phone number and address to spam them.

Get the number for your state's Attorney General and forward the call. If you can't forward the call, get the number the AG
and have them call you back at that (AG;s) number.
If the AG;s get enough of these call, maybe they will do something about them.

"georgia" on the caller ID as well.  Same old scammers,  different spoofed number.  What a surprise.
These scammers are in cahoots with the phone  companies, and these calls will never stop until the phone companies are forced to pay (loose money) on every call made by these robo dialed calls.
Google  callerID4u.com   to see what's  going on.

First they called my cell phone using a robocaller from 404-291-3134 promising a free cruise if I take a survey.  After taking the survey, I'm invited to opt in for a call from a sales rep.  I did, then received a call from 949-203-2324.  They tell me that I've won a cruise but I need to pay port fees.  I asked how I could know that the offer is legitimate and they sent me an e-mail.  The link to view the e-mail in the browser is: http://royalbahamacl.com/clogs/viewemail.asp?view=2&Templ=3&ID=127876841908.  The full address from the e-mail is:

I entered a complaint on the National Do Not Call registry, although that seems like a futile endeavor because the feds are doing NOTHING to prosecute these idiots.  I've received this same call from different numbers many, many times in the past.

I received a call from this phone number, when I did not recognize the number, I did not answer.  I tried calling back, and I got a message stating that "This Verizon wireless customer is not available, please try your call later."  I think it is a scam.
