Full number: 91 40 4345 1000

Amazon seller support responding to my request for a refund on my seller acct.  Legit.  They emailed me when I didn't answer stating they had processed the refund and that they tried to call me and it went to voicemail.  Very quick service too, WTG Amazon.

THIS IS A SCAM.

They are able to replace amazons email address and server info and it even shows up as legit and goes past Google's own filters.

BEWARE THIS NUMBER IS NOT LEGIT.

The Amazon rep said that the only way to confirm that the email is from amazon is to call them. OR actully, have them call you form their web site app.

Scary times man. You can't even trust the emails that they send out.  What can you trust?

This happened to me today: two calls from the same Indian number. I googled it and found this page. I reported the incident to Amazon and I was told to change any password that could be linked to my Amazon account. Do NOT give any credit card details on the phone or chat.

i got the same call from the exact same number this morning! i missed the calls but since i m Indian i recognised the number is from india.. thinking its some family or freind is trying to contact me , i called back.. and the preson on the other end answered saying they are from amazon. since i spoke hindi, they did too tellin me they are based in Hyderabad, india. and when i tried to inquire more the person hurriedly hung up the phone. the strange thing is i m currently in berlin and i have never ever used amazon for any kind of purchase. So yeah beware everbody.. keep an eye of your CC statements regularly and tell your bank as well just in case. Hope this helps.

I didn't answer the call, but it was Amazon alerting me of fraud. Someone used my Discover card to open an Amazon account and made a charge to my card. Amazon automatically closed that other account and this is what they were probably calling me about. I received an email from Amazon about all this shortly after the 914043451000 call. Nice job Amazon of staying alert!

Two calls at 6 a.m. New Years Day 2013.  I don't answer calls on my cellphone that are not known; being registered with the DNC (since inception of DNC) does not prevent these calls once a company sells your phone number for $$.

Seeing the previous message about this possibly being Amazon, I realized my last two purchases were off the Amazon site.  So, maybe my phone number wasn't sold, and it was acquired through those purchases.  Could the merchants selling on Amazon have a security issue?

Hi  I got the same call yesterday after placing an order at Amazon, first time actually I ordered anything from them, so I did set up a new account. I missed the call, but I used a friend's lap top to place the order (who also has Amazon account) and that person got a call with questions about MY account. I called back to the number and they claimed they where the phone operator of Amazon, but when asked, they could not connect to Amazon custumer service, so clearly a "trawling" attempt. Beware! No activity on my credit card yet, so the bank believed they failed to get the information they needed, and recommended wait and see approach.

Yes I got a call from this number this morning by a lady with a strong eastern European accent, she new my full name and the last 4 digits of my card, I stated I have not used amazon for over 6 months and the card in question was cancelled yesterday due to being lost, she then hurriedly got of the phone

I am in the uk, the full number that called me was +914043451000.

I felt this was suspicious, so I called amazon and they stated that they have not called me and would not do so unless there was suspected fraud on my account, I also spoke with them about other reasons to call me and ask them to look into this further and they stated they have had no contact with me since I last personally contacted them direct some time ago.

I called the uk police none emergency number 101 and reported the issue, they stated that the dialing code is Indian in origin and it appears to be made from one of those pre pay calling cards and then it has been rerouted.

they gave me a number for the cyber fraud dept which I called and they logged it stating that it is suspicious. I also called my bank and set up a security number on my account.

Very strange, I hope this helps someone else if they have a similar call and are wondering what is going on.

Do you have any interaction with Amazon.com?  I believe that is the number that shows up when you get a call from their billing or Accts Receivable area.
