You can add Beyond.com to your lists of fraudulent job search sites. There are also many, many job boards affiliated with Beyond.com. Just look for the Beyond/Career Network name and logo. Those job boards also use Applicant Tree or Gigats application forms. They'll ask you questions like "are you interested in furthering your education." When you hit the submit button after completing the application form, it does not go to an employer. Your information is phished and sold to college recruiters and telemarketers, as several people here have explained. If you go to the employer's website, you will see that the position posted on the job boards does not exist. Other job sites to be wary of are Job Animal and The Ladders. Job Animal is affiliated with Beyond.com.

Ditto to Rose's post. I think it's a legit (?) job board 'jobnab.com', but with the twist that there is a live voice working in a boiler room (call center for all you under-30's...lol). I too have been shooting resumes out all over the universe, so getting it farmed out anywhere is not surprising. The text I received had the site's name, along with the tease that "they had a job that fit my profile, etc.,etc.".  It may all be legit, but I didn't have the 30-40 minutes to stop and fill out all of the information they were seeking. I may go back into it if I can find the time.  Has anyone gone beyond this to the next step, i.e., received any invitations for interviews, landed a new position, ascertained whether or not this group does indeed have a viable profile-matching technology? Any updates would be welcome.

Got the same message.  I'd already registered for JobNab.com.  What you guys should do is set up an email with JobNab and receive your updates that way, instead of paying for unsolicited text messages.  What I do is, check the site for jobs, and apply directly to the company--not via jobnab.com.  That should cut down some of the spamming as well.

Text message as follows, "Hi Barry, based on your resume you match a job I'm filling. If you register at jobnab.com we can discuss the details if you're interested."

I never called and just added the number to my Blocked List with Verizon. Probably got the number from my resume out floating on the Web.

Here's what happened when I went to the site. I filled out two pages of information and was given a phone number to call. When they answered the guy confirmed the information I typed in was correct and then asked me some questions about the types of jobs I wanted. Then he said they'd start sending me updates with jobs in my area that meet those requirements. I was given the option of how often I wanted those updates and i picked daily. When I got the jobs a few I'd knew already, and a few I didnt. I followed the link and applied for them. Does that answer everyone's questions?

I got the text and went to their website. It's like a job matching service that interviews you real quick to see what kind of job you're looking for and then sends you jobs in your area that you can go apply to.
