Same here call for credit card

I got a call back in April..and the call was to my cell phone! no message was left

I answered....they sttd that they could lower the interest rate on my credit cards.....I do not have credit cards.

I wish these kinds of businesses would just fade away.....they are only preying on the elderly, and misinformed.

Just got a call from this number. Let it go to VM since I didn't recognize it. They left no VM. I called it back, and all it said was "Please press any digit to be put on the do not call list." That's it. My number is already on the national DNC so no idea how they got it.

6/5/2013: Called at 3:30 with "Bartlett, Inc".  I didn't answer.  They hung up.

Got a bunch of these calls after I listed an item for sale on Craig's List.

Calls, leaves robo message about an opportunity to lower my interest rate.  BS of course.

Keep calling & do not leave a message.  I never pick up when I do not recognize caller.  Caller ID reads Bartlett INC

I received the same call on 4-13-13.  Called my credit card company and they said they did not call me.  They cancelled my card and issued me another one immediately!

Low lifes just called again today.  Filed complaint.

For now just don't answer if you don't recognize the number. As long as you have a phone that has a memory (or pen and paper to quickly write it down), you can go on this website and find out if other people have gotten spam calls from the same phone. Then, on most phones, you can assign it to a contact and just name that contact, "SPAM CALL FROM (XYZ)."

If they call again, there's a certain amount of smug satisfaction from seeing the word SPAM in capital letters on your phone and purposely not answering ...

These morons called.  When I answered, there was no one on the line.  Typical robocaller machine that calls ahead too much when there is no sleaze telemarketer free yet to do the pitch.

Just got a call on my cell from 404-400-1147and I didn't know the number so I did not answer. I am very grateful for sites like this.  I am also on the Do Not Call list. Thank you all for your post.

404-400-1147, I Do Not Answer...same of calls coming every 2 days from 26669-6687.  If I Do not Recognize the Number, you the Unknown Caller or Machine...wasted a call.  And it is easy to turn off my Phone.  One Day the Phone Companies may get Smarter and provide a Number to Dial immediately that Blocks last call i.e. 222 would be nice or 999

I had a missed call from this number. called it back and was told to press a number to be added to the do not call list, I didn't know who it wes so I hung up. They can't get my info from just my Phone# can they

I have a cell-phone and I do not answer unknown numbers.  Someone called at 9:35 AM on 4/19/2013 and did not leave a message.  I bet they are just trying scam people like us!  My phone number is registered on the national Do Not Call List and I reported this call to them.  https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

Got  call from this number.  ID on phone was almost the same name as a co. I do business with.  So answered the call.  Did not ID my credit card co. bus said I could reduce the rate.  Ha!!  Did nothing but they now have my number as a working number.  Also, I have called ID and now know it is not a legitimate company!!

Got the exact same call. The moron couldn't tell me which of my cards he was representing. Hung ip. These scammers deserve street justice.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone.  I was away from my phone and they didn't leave a message.  I did not know this number so I did not call back.  Very few people know my cell phone number so it must have been dialed randomly.

"This is Heather from card services".

I thought the FTC shut these jokers down. Time to file a new complaint.

I'm glad sites like this exist. I always ignore these kinds of calls and immediately look the numbers up to see if I should call back.

Got this same call - on my cell number, to boot!

If you are so inclined and have the time, next time they call, press 1 to speak to one of their "operators".  Then without giving away any personal information, keep them on the phone as long as you can.  Not only does it prevent them from calling others, it slows down their quota, possibly getting them "in trouble" with their "supervisor".

April 18th received a call from 404-400-1147; I did not answer since I know no one from that area code.
Warn your teens and grandparents who aren't use to cell phones and receiving scam calls.

ID showed 404-400-1147. Immediately googled the number and saw these messages concerning this number. Thanks to all who reported their experience with this number! :)
