Once I had the same type call,bad connection,heavy acient.The guy ask me if I would take a survey.I said "take surgay"? He ask again.I said "surray not here"...no no sir,take survey about NaturalGas...I responded "oooh ok,yeah,I know a little about NaturalGas,Would you like to hear what it sounds like"?At that point he hug up.Had to be there,we laughed for almost a hour.

Just got a call from this number. I answered, as well like the others. The man was selling ID protection. I let him know I have Life Lock and several other protections. So no thank you. He went on anyways also wanting my email address. I said, auh....I don't think so buddy. Not giving you my info, but your selling ID protection....LOL. He did know my first name when he did call. So I just said," Have a nice day, bye bye."

This is a classic example of an attempt to obtain my personal information.

I answered a call which my phone displayed as "SECURE ID." The male speaker, who had an accent from the GMT+5.5 timezone, said he was selling

*Identity Theft* protection

and if I was over age 50.  I said I was, and he said I could therefore receive free service for a year. I said I already use a product by that name (true) and asked what company he represented.  Without saying,

*He then asked for my name*

and if he could send me a brochure. I conversed for awhile, then asked about their web site address, to which he replied "www.secureidservice.com." I prompty looked at the site, only to find a single web page with the footer:
"Copyright © 2014 Western Medical. All rights reserved.   |   831 East 340 South, Suite 150, American Fork, UT 84003"

I said I would read the material there and asked for a toll-free number so I could return a call. He said "please hold" then about 20 seconds later gave me a toll-free number. I said that's not the number on the web site (the site provided one toll-free number to discuss benefits for back and knee pain!)  He then gave me two more numbers, neither of which matched that on the web site.

He then said he could provide a brochure, and this time

*He asked for my email address*.  

After I asked for some clarification about the web site, he said he could send me a brochure, and then

*He asked for my mailing address*.

I said I wasn't interested in this "service," he thanked me for my interest and hoped to hear from me, and I ended the call.
He was very polite with me. I'm sure he was probably being monitored for his effectiveness.

Most show a street address of 831 East 340 South, American Fork, UT 84003 with differing "suite" numbers (130, 150 and 200).

They call from many phone numbers, which are probably spoofed in order to conceal their identity and location and to deliberately deceive call recipients into thinking it's a local call (local area code), so they're likely violating the Truth in Caller ID law as well.

A few minutes ago got a call from a "mary"  "I D watch" line was breaking up couldn't understand, accent sounded like Philipano, she hung up BUT maybe I'll save number & next time answer as United States Secret Service!  :  )

Multiple calls over 2 weeks; no one there when phone is answered; no message left. Have added to a special contact Refuse, Do Not Answer so I don't waste my minutes on them.

When I get an unknown number----especailly one that reads on caller ID as "Secure ID," -----I  "Google" the number and end up on sites like this one.  This number called me today at 4:17 CDST.  I didn't even answer it.  I already know the companies that monitor my identity and have "frozen" my credit.

Keep getting missed calls from local #404-446-1410 . When I tried to call back I get a message that they are not accepting calls. Seeing an increase of scammers calling in 2014. My # has been on the DNC registry for years.

They called 3 times today 4/11/2014, every 4 hrs., just like clock work.   I don't pick up when I don't recognize the number. They never left a message.   Caller ID said Secure ID.   Why can't the DNC laws be enforced!  All my numbers home & cell are on the DNC list and I get approx. 6-10 calls a day from "scammers"...

We've gotten 4 calls from them over the last 2 days but for us it shows up as Truck Central.  We never answer and they never leave a message.

Got a call from this number today - figured it was a scam (as everyone is pointing out below) so I did not answer.  This one also came from the Atlanta Area code, but it Said "Secure ID" rather than some of the others folks have listed in these posts.  Thank you all for keeping this site updated!

Since I don't answer ANY caller's name or number that I do not recognize, I allowed this scammer to go to voicemail -- where they promptly hung up without leaving a message.  The caller ID showed SECURE ID.  What a freakin' joke!!!  My advice to ALL others...  please do NOT answer ANY calls from ANY person or number you do NOT know.

Called first time this evening ... caller ID said "Secure ID", but didn't leave a message.  Thank goodness I learned a long time ago that if I don't know the # to just never answer ... if you don't answer they eventually decide it's a bad line and quit calling!

The best way for them to take you off their list is to simply not answer.

The more you answer these calls, the more they will call you.  Answering just proves there is a live person on the other end. Reporting these numbers to http://www.fcc.gov/complaints wont have any effect until a huge number of people complain ... and then they will just get a different number.  Safest bet? Don't answer any calls that are not in YOUR area code.  If they are legit, they will leave a voice mail.

I don't recognize the number, I don't answer. Too bad I don't have the on-the-spot wit to mess with them. (Do it enough, THEY will take your number off the list themselves, I'm sure.)

Just received a call from a cleary nervous (he was all over the place), heavily accented man who said he was calling from SecureID and he knew I was busy, so he just wanted to email me an offer for identity protection (how ironic) for people of ages 50-54. I said no, not interested.  He then said all I have to do is read the email, again, no, I have identity protection.  The said I just want to give you a website.  Dang, now I wish I would have taken it to share after reading all this stuff :)

Call every day multiple times.  I am tired of the calls, and I am not affiliated with such a company in any way.

Got this same call from ID WATCH about signing up for Fraud detection.
They had my legal first/last name which they stated during the conversation, which lead me to believe, not just random robo calling. Seeing the above I thought AARP was handing out / Selling Phone #'s.
They did give me a website address: http://www.idcrimewatch.com/  When I looked at it I recall seeing a letter in the mail with the same wording and as a Promo from United Airlines.

If I were to guess, United Airlines membership sold these yahoos our Name, age, phone & address (They knew the address as well).

Not happy with United Airlines!!   I also sent an email off to the Domain register for http://www.idcrimewatch.com/ about their Fraud activities.

Any time I get a call from a company that uses a different phone Number that is different from where they are located it is the First sign of Fraud, Second of course is the fact they can not speak the native English American Language!

Just received a call from this number. Caller Id showed Truck Central and the Asian female said it was Watch Id , I informed her I was not interested and she asks me why not... I told her I have my own security which includes a 9mm.. can we say the phone went click and away she went.

I have taken to keep a whistle next to my phones and when I do not recognize their number, I answer and when they start talking, I just blow my whistle and hang up.  Works pretty good!!

When they hang up on you without an answer to those questions, PLEASE report it to https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/Information?OrgCode= and http://www.fcc.gov/complaints. This is clearly against the law, and if enough people complain, these government agencies will investigate.
