you have it all wrong! it isn't HFH, it's a guy named Larry, he is in Bangledesh, he sells marketing and advertising to companies at discounted rates! i know who his clients are, here in U.S! he does business through locating people who advertise on CL, and offers to advertise for them,, nothing else, no conspiracy,, no HFH!

Habitat calls every day at about the same time.  A "blank" message is sometimes recorded.

Thank you for posting this.  I just tried this - I sure hope it works as we get up to four calls a day regarding Habitat for Humanity - we too have donated to this charity as I believe it worthy, however these continual calls for the past year have angered me soooooo much, I will not contribute to them anymore.

Constant unwanted calls

Three calls in three days.  All are from a different number, and all are from "Habitat."  If this is Habitat from Humanity, and it has been going on for three years, I have lost totally any interest in donating to that organization.

They've been phoning 3x daily--this morning called at 7:15am!!  I'm mobility impaired & it's quite difficult for me to reach the phone.

I just had a call from that number. Caller ID said "Private Number."  I have donated to Habitat for Humanity because I think it is a good charity that does good work, but once you donate, you are going to be besieged with calls and also contacted through the mail.   I wish they would stop...of course, other charities do the same thing. I don't answer any calls if I don't recognize the # but what I do is pick up and immediately hang up.

Stop the robo-calls - when I tried to remove my number after calling this number I was told my phone number was invalid.  What bull***!

Harrassment at it's highest level

Calls come at three times each day..I do not believe it is really Habitat for Humanity...Sounds like a scam to me...This is really a "nice" reward for a donation...

HABITAT. Caller stated she was from an independent fund raising organization. Saying this is new but helpful.I replied that we never give to organizations that just skim off the top 60%. Told my computer to block the call.

12:52 today Sunday 9/30/2012 received another call from 'ANONYMOUS" one of many over the last couple months.  They never answer.

Verizon has a feature that lets you automatically forward numbers.  I just set any of the numbers that "Habitat for Humanity" is calling from to their main 800 number.  I really doubt this is Habitat, they have never corresponded by phone, always by mail.

Getting calls multiple times a day.  We gave regularly to them until this began happening.  Even volunteered in Mexico with them.  To block the number Verizon wants $4 a month!  Did as suggested by the poster above.  Called the number on caller ID, pressed 1 then 3.  Prompt said to enter my ten digit #.  Said it can take up to 30 days but should happen in the next 2-3.  Multiple companies solicit for them.  If you want my money, send a request in the mail.  Good luck folks!

Just ran a Google check on the other "Habitat" number that calls (404)549-5986, and found HOW TO STOP THE CALLS.  To stop this company from calling I called the (404)549-5986, got a recording and then pressed "1" for "more info on the company".  After listening to a pre-recorded message about the virtues of their company and GOD, I pressed "3" when advised there was an option to remove my number from their call list.  I was prompted to enter in my 10 digit number, and was then advised that it may take up to a month for the calls to stop (per federal regulation)! I believe that if you do this it will stop (404)496-6033 from calling, as both these numbers represent Habitat For Humanity.I cant believe I'm taking this much time out of my night for THIS?!!  On a personal note, I am a Christian and do believe in charity and tithing, but there is a "right and wrong" way to go about things...just saying...I hope this helped!

Call comes up on caller id as "HABITAT", and calls from two separate numbers: (404)549-5386, and also from (404)496-6033! They call at least once a day (sometimes more) for the last two weeks.  I have never given them a penny and do not know why or how I ended up on their call list.  The way that they conduct themselves is a total turn off, and actually discourages any potential donors.  Habitat For Humanity acts more like a drug dealer owed money, and less like a reputable non profit organization.  I am not a evil or malicious person, but i wish the same inconvenience on these "cold callers" ,as they have burdened myself with.

Made one donation, now 2 to 3 calls per day. Blocked them now, and they won't be getting another dime.

It's Habitat for Humanity.  Give them 20 bucks, they give you 200 calls.  Worst part is, I answer the phone and they don't even talk, they just hang up.
I called the number back, you have to listen to their stupid God message, and then you can remove your number from their calling list.  
Way to go HfH, you just guaranteed your last dollar from me.

Receive several calls a day from HABITAT with no message.

I called the number back and first the woman replied yes to the question of is this Habitat for Humanity and then changed it to no, it was a private number when I asked to be taken off the call list.  I looked online and found several complaints about this number and redialed it and a man answered and insisted it was private.  Can there be 2 telephone numbers the same or come through caller ID incorrectly?

With the Habitat clue above, 404-496-6033 has to be Habitat for Humanity.  They have joined the ranks of charities who reward you for a donation by calling for more.
