i just got this phone call too. i kinda freaked out because it was an area code i didnt know. i googled it to figure it out, and this was the first thing to pop up. i tried texting it to see if i knew who it was but it didnt work. so i guess its just a spammer? its pretty bogus and annoying!

Same as jw and others.  Offer for a factory warranty and when I press '2', I get the same call, although on multiple numbers.  When I did get a person by pressing '1', I asked them to please remove me and....you guessed it...just like jw, they hung up on me without a word.

i got a call from this number about an hour ago & asked a friend from the atlanta area if he called me. i googled the number & found this forum. good thing i didn't answer this crooked call!

I just got a call from this number and pushed reject.  We own several cars with kids etc.  my car went off warranty in december and since then, I get these harassing calls... letters.. my husband get's them too, we figure it's because we stupidly gave them our cell numbers when we bought the car, never ever again. I think our numbers are sold by our car companies.  Frankly I'm sick of it.

Same thing.  My warranty is about to expire.  Blah, blah, blah.  I don't know what makes them think I want to do business with someone whose phone number can't be called and I wish I could track them down myself.  Or better yet, make it a crime.  Because here in Texas we will gladly execute every damn one of them.

I have a Ford (12 years old) and they say the same thing.  It isn't really a call from the car company it's just a fake company trying to get you to think they are affilliated with your auto company.

Any company whose business practices are this shady and abusive is not a company any of you should do business with.

Called my cell - no msg

No message, just called my cell phone.

It's really annoying. Something tells me that it switches numbers so that if you ban one of them it can just keep on calling.

Also, I KNOW it's bogus because I don't even own a car.
I've gotten several messages that are from the same strain, plus another that was a credit card company (again, bogus.)

What struck me as interesting about the numbers is that while they say more or less the same thing, they have different area codes. That means that this is a network of people in several districts.

The numbers I got calls from were:
1. 8477058225 (vehicle warranty)
2. 4045370424 (this one, obviously)
3. 4056861377 (the credit card scam)
4. 9098429105 (vehicle warranty)

Only the first one I actually picked up. mainly because I didn't have my phone the other times. The first one I received on the 15th, the second on the 21st, then the next two in two day intervals.

It can't be an automaker/auto dealer handing it out because, as I stated earlier, I have never had a car. Perhaps they just looked up numbers on the internet en masse.

I think there are two possibilities for these. Either there's a massive internet ring of spammers or someone is taking up numbers in all sorts of areas to call people en masse.

I've read some other reports and they claim that once the called person asked for any information about the company, they hung up immediately. The people on the other side, according to the reports, ask for make and model of your car... That might mean carjackers or someone stealing information. Unfortunately these spammers may be dangerous to the naive.

yeah this is definitely annoying, they would call me at 7 in the morning. I'm a college student I don't wake up that early...I'm amazed that this crooked company hasn't been shut down yet, it's been a long time since i've started getting these calls atleast over a year... I got the last called it seems about the same time you guys did saturday morning sometime... they need to ban this number

I got the same call call from 404-537-0424 on April 25. I just now remembered it and typed it into google and this came up. When I called it back on the 25th a busy signal came up. When I called just now it said "all circuits are busy"

Got a call from that number. I live in the city. I dont own a car? Therefore, I don't have a warranty to a vehicle. Nice try.

I just received a call from this number too. No message left, but I see others are saying this is about a GM factory warranty. It must be completely bogus as I have no GM factory warranty and don't know that I ever have...

Got a call on cell phone from 404-537-0424.  Called it back but message said "All circuits busy please try later" and it disconnects.  Does anyone know who this is?

I got a call from this number about a half hour ago.  No message left. Caller ID showed the number.  When I called back, I got a busy signal.

I got a call from this number about 30 mins ago!

I got a call from this # and it is to supposidly extend your factory warranty on your vehicle.  I have recieved calls for this from several other #'s.  I actualy stayed on the line and when I told them to stop calling they hung up on me.

I got a call from this number on a Saturday morning, didnt pick up, and no message left, did not attempt to call them back

Just got a call from this number this morning. My GM factory warranty is about to expire. I wonder if GM is selling our info.

Called my cell number and it gave a automated message about vehicle warranty expiration. Called it back and it said all lines were busy.The number is located in Atlanta, Georgia as a Land Line. It's provider was Clective Ga, Incorporated.

Yeah i got a call from this number as well.  Left no message.  Ive recieved similar calls from another number, but judging by other peoples responses on this forum ,i think its the same people.

Any one know how to get off thier list?  Im afraid to call them back because then they will know my number is legit and probably sell off my number to other marketers. I know people in the business, this is what they do.

It is a car warranty extension company of some type, probably crooked. I get a call about every day. I selected to speak to an operator finally and asked him what I needed to do to get taken off the list. he said "just ask!" I asked to be removed and he hung up. heh

i just got the same call just now didn't answer it because i didn't know it, so i got on google and searched the number and i found all of your comments on the number...

yeah, same with me. just a couple seconds ago, i got a call from that number, but i didn't pick it up. then i had a voicemail, and i just deleted it. it's so annoying
