platino inter ........... no message

Caller ID displayed "PLATINO INTER" 404-537-0502.  I did not answer it and they did not leave a message on my answering machine.  Must be a nuisance telemarketing call. My phone nubmer is listed with the national "Do Not Call" registry which is a joke and a useless effort.  I have submitted numerous complaints to them to no avail. They provide no relief at all.

This is getting real old, they use several numbers.
"Don't answer the call let you caller ID take the number.
If you have call block through your phone carrier you can block the sall but they just use another number.
Pressing #2 does not get you off the list so don't bother with trying that.
A bunch of boiler room people that need to get a life,I seen on a cable channel on Discovery Channel that they even let convicts in prison use PC's to place these calls. So agin let your caller ID answer the calls.
Also file a complaint with the FTC online. They will follow up on it after these folks get fined 1,000 and more they will go away.

this is so annoying. They always get you to stop and look at the CallerID in case it is someone who actually has my permission to call me. When will this stop.

An fun way to handle this is to listen to them and act interested.  I did, and the first warranty person handed me off to a "warranty specialist" who would take my order.  When it came to the point of giving a credit card number, I acted disturbed and talked about not having a credit card due to my fear of the "Russian Internet Kabel" (like, who would believe that?).  I kept "explaining" to the rep the damage of this group on using the internet and spy satellites to steal my card number - giving my acting skills a real workout!  He finally hung up on me.  Sure, not good if you don't have time.  But if you do have the time, it can be fun to mess them around for once.

Thanks "shortbus" for the link for the do not call list...very frustrating calls from these people.. I waited for the recording and got a live person..  After telling him that I keep telling them to take me off the list... I asked again  I admit "not very nicely" to take me off the $#!* list! The guy or gal (couldn't tell) said that because I cussed he was not going to help me and hung up. I guess I'll be reciveing more of these harrassing calls! It should be against the law. I tried to call the number back and wouldn't you know... I keep getting a busy signal..

Don't hit the number 2! It just tells them you have a working number and they keep calling as everyone listed has said! Just hang up or don't answer.

When the phone rang today, the caller ID showed the words "Platino Inter," and a recorded voice was saying something like my credit card had expired, so I hung up.

Just got of the phone with their agent. As I was waiting for friends and bored, I kept him on the phone for 45 minutes. When he found out I was scamming HIM, called me every name in the book.

I filed a complaint with the FCC. We are on the do not call list.

They have called me several times.  This time I pressed "1" to speak to the operator and made it clear that they were violating the DO NOT CALL registry.

They are clearly involved in illegal telemarking practices for "extended warrenty coverage"

4-22-09  I have been getting a call every day from this telemarketer.  I have pushed the "2" button "to be taken off of their call list" several times but the calls keep coming.

Their agent "Paul" told me today that they are selling automobile extended warranties for United Car Car .

I filed a complaint with National No Call list today on BOTH companies.  In addition, I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau on United Car Care as they do not control their agents or representatives properly and permit violations of No Call List on their behalf.

I suggest everyone file a complaint with Better Business Bureau on the underlying company.  They will have to explain why they authorize "Platino Inter" to represent them.

This number has been calling my house for 3 weeks, daily. Won't leave a message. Husband has talked to an agent 4 times now, asked to be removed each time to no avail. Watch out because now they called his CELL PHONE from a different number. 859-734-6112. Googled it, shows as registered to a woman. Best guess, is this company has an autodialer system installed, and when it gets a live warm body on the phone routes to available agent--which could be a home based agent, explaining the new digits. Seems to me from everyone's comments that they may have poached the DNC list. Both numbers they called to reach us are listed on it already. We're in Indiana, sounds like this company is wreaking national chaos!

Did you people ever consider that the caller ID is being spoofed? You can't rely on the number you see on your caller ID, as being that of the scammer

A couple of calls ea week from these folks -- recorded call states: "This is your 2nd call - your car warranty is about to expire..."  Not for me.  Tried calling back - can not get thru.  Annoying.

nuisance caller.  I recognize the number and avoid it.  It's interesting that it comes from area code 404 (Atlanta area).

Got call at work from these people asking me to extend my warranty on my car that is about to expire. I just came back from Japan and have 2 brand new cars. When I asked which car and what the VIN number was got silence. When I asked who was I talking with he cuold not remember his name then came up with the name Dennis and immidiatly hung up on me. I have tried to call back and just get the busy tone. This is obviously a SCAM Company.

I get 2 calls PER DAY from these people!!!!!  I don't understand the point of the Do Not Call Registry if they can't stop people like this.

I keep getting these calls and they never leave a message...when I answer and say no they continue to talk and I hang up..what can I do?

when i call back, there is a recording that says "We are unable to complete your call at this time, please try again later (then it says it in spanish) message 12, switch 262" - but, before that recording plays, the phone does ring.

Repeatedly receive calls from this number, even after asking them to remove our number from their list.  Last time I took the option 1 to speak to an operator.  When asked what the year and type of my vehicle I told them I owned a 1974 Ford Pinto.  They called me a lier and hung up on me.  Fastest I ever was able to get a telemarketer off the phone!

Keep registering complaints with the "Do not call websites". You may not know that some states also have "Do not call" lists. We do here in CA, and that means double fines. It's the only way to stop this junk. - AI -

After repeatedly getting calls on our cell phones from similar callers, this guy calls my home phone. I answer the phone and press 2 to speak to a person as it is my second and final notice of my car warranty expiring. This guy tells me that he understands I want more information and I say yes, I need to know the name of the company, and he says Warranty Help Desk, and he repeats his script. I try to get more info out of him telling him that I have been getting these annoying calls and ge rudely tells me he'll take me off the list, presses a button on the phone and hangs up.

Received call on 04/21/2009 at 7:08 - Dialed number, the person on the line used foul language and threatened my life. Very creepy.

A bunch of b.s. is what this is.  It comes up as Platino Inter, I hit 2 to be put on their "Do Not Call" list and they keep calling.  Now I'm calling them back!  Gee, I wonder why I keep getting the "Lines are temporarily busy" message.

They call me twice a week, its a computer call and it gives you option 1 to speak with an operator, option 2 to be taken off the list.  Well I've pressed option 2 so many times and it obviously doesn't work as I still receive these calls.  It has to do with extended warranty coverage on my cars.  Lately I have been pressing 1 to speak with someone and they are very rude after I explain I want to be removed...they usually just hang up.

I am also registered with the do not call list.  I have asked these callers why they are calling me when I am registered.  I was told that they are not telemarketing just surveying.  Apparently the do not call registration is only for sales calls.  This call, however was not answered and they did not leave a message.  Annoying.

Recording. Tried selling extended vehicle warranty coverage. At the end there is a choice to press 1 to continue or 2 to be put on do not call list.  I have pressed 2 and am on the do not call national registery, but I still receive almsot daily calls.  No message is left if I do not pick up, or pick up but do not speak.
