THIS IS AN EXTORTION SCAM. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and may be using bought/hacked loan application data to extort money or personal info for fictitious crimes.

This man called my employer stating that he was Detective Davis investigating a fraude case for a bad check. I don't write checks. After googling his name and phone number I read reports from several other people stating similar stories. This man has no right to call my employer, making statementsabout me. I plan to repeort him to the Atlanta Police.

Had a call left on my answering machine from "Inspector David" stating I was listed as a first contact for my Sister's ex-mother in law. Said it was involving our county's fraud department and to call him back. I had only met the ex-mother in law once and my nephew & sister haven't had any contact with that side of the family for 7 years. If he does c/b when I'm home, he's gonna hear it from me! Bogus crap...................

He is a scammer, the caller ID comes up with M & L LCC--to make it look legitimate, he just called me too and threatened to call my HR department and tell them what kind of person I was---they have enough information to scare you----if you look up the number 404-228-6405 you'll find the name of the company that M & L stands for. They threatened to also call my county 'Fraud department'---report them to the BBB and your attorney general's office also on the page for the number above there is some information on how to contact the authorities in Georgia as well. They scared me at first, but I've ready enough about them from others so I'm not too worried, you can't be arrested or anything like that. Let your employers know so they know you're being scammed.B

THis person called my brother and identified himself as a federal agent. I called investigator Davis back and he started yelling at the top of his lungs telling me i was trash and not worth talking to and I needed to get my lawyer on the phone and never call his office again. Would not tell me what it was all about. I reported him to the FBI for impersonating a federal agent.

Someone going by the name of Investigator Davis called my house this morning and said that they wanted to speak to my father regarding some sort of reference and that he wanted to speak with him before turning the case over to the fraud unit. He spoke with my mother and would not go into detail about the specific nature of the call. I have looked the number he gave (404-549-8605) online and have seen where others have reported that this man is a fraud. I would like to know if this was a legit call or is Inspector Davis attempting to scam my & my family.
