This number was billed to our AT&T bill.  $3.75!!!

A call is xharged to us by ATT for a call at that number.....we never called them ...but must be a sooofed call with a fee charged to us.   we never called them since we do not call long distance from this phone but use the cell with free long distance...

I'm getting billed by Comcast everytime this number calls my house!!

Just got a call with this phone number.  I don't answer calls I don't know, but this call did not roll to answering machine - they simply hung up.

Be advised that all numbers with the exchange "555" are phone company numbers. (xxx) 555-1212 is indeed the designated number for directory assistance, however it's easily spoofed by phone scammer/phishing crooks. Just so you know a directory assistance operators aren't able to make outgoing calls from their work stations.

Just another robo call scammer using fake caller ID's and forwarded services. Just block. They will eventually use another number and possibly another scam. Just warn the elderly and those who may fall prey. Report to authorities as well.

Received a call from 404-555-1212. Caller ID read Directory Assistance. Answered and it was a recorded call with a damn nut yelling in the phone about Medicare. That's all I heard as I slammed the phone down.

404-555-1212 came up on my phone as Dir Asst GA.  There have been so many scam calls to our phone number that we no longer pick up - unless it's a number we know.

received 2 hang up calls in consecutive days.  Like they are calling from an automated system.  Phone rings, I answer, silence, then disconnection.

Scammer who thinks I'm a "senior" and wants me to know that I can scam the gubmint (Medicare) into paying for a new scooter for me.

Quick story: A couple of years ago my father died and I took over his affairs, which included having his mail forwarded to me.  In some misguided attempt to be helpful, instead of simply forwarding the mail as I asked the USPS notified everyone who mails him stuff and calls him that my address AND PHONE NUMBER were where he now could be reached.  Not only has the gubmint's Do Not Call list failed me with both his number and mine, the gubmint actually made it worse by giving out my number as his.

I'll spare you the rest. You can imagine how aggravating this has been and continues to be.
