My 80 year old mother has had the same phone number for 50 years, and these dirtbags call her now, in assisted living, to scare her half to death. She calls me in tears saying that this is the FBI telling her that homes in the area are being broken into. No matter how many times I block their number, they use another to scare the elderly. I would love to change my mother's phone number, but she doesn't want me to do so, because of memory problems. These people are trash, and I hope that their scare tactics don't bring in one red cent.

They called me a month ago when I was busy.  Something about the FBI and press 2 to be put on the do not call list. I pressed 2. I thought FBI yeah right. I am Canadian so I am not worried about the FBI. I called them back and got an answering machine. I said I'm in a lab and know everything about chemical warfare why don't you send a real agent to come get me. They never called back and no FBI here. P**sys.

I just left a complaint earlier today saying that I work Midnight's and I was woken up two days in a row.  Well I was finally able to fall back asleep and then this D Bag.

You should never press any number from an automated robocall. They can then reroute all their long distance calls thru your phone number via computer scam and you get the bill, then it's a fight with your phone company to reverse the charges. Just hang up

I receive one of these a week at least. f I pick up, there is just dead air.
One time it did start out with an FBI alert!!! I live in Canada....No FBI here!!!!!

Just got one, Feb 14, 2010. Said Georgia on the caller ID.  I Called back, not a working number.  Why isn't it illegal to 1) to call those of us on no call lists and 2) to call with a non-working number?

Bit of advice: never push any buttons in response to these calls. Often that is all it takes to start the billing, sometimes as high as 90.00 per minute. Your phone company gets a rake-off from the charges and will side with whoever runs the scam. DON'T count on government to help. No legis. in most countries to help you, except Australia. Virgin mobile was fined for their complicity. Often customer service will say they don't know which company receives the money, sometimes it is the phone company itself. The execs know, but keep customer service in dark. Commin with premium text messages where you pay to stop the constant incoming texts. Nothing but fraud, plain and simple.

They would not leave a message. I didn't recognize area code so a would not answer the phone. I don't no any one in Georgia.

Called noon today.  I knew it was telemarketer so never answered.

called my house today.  had the same recorded message that is previously mentioned.  The first person i spoke to I could not understand, she proceeded to "transfer" me to their "tech department" where I spoke to a young man who started teling me about fluent security systems.  he was very vague, and every feature about the system (he only got to two during the whole conversation) were "really really cool" and "very nice" and he was typing ALOT.  It sounded like he was just filling in phone conversation, with large gaps between where he would repeat himself.  Did not sound legit.  I hung up.

Got another annoying call. Did not answer, no message!

I received this call before 9:00 AM, a taped voice said, that, there had been a breakin in my area, and that, the local police recommended that I secure my home"
I figured out, it was a telemarketer and I hung up immediately.  

Hello cme. I tried to file a complaint at the link you nicely provided but that form kept asking me to correct my phone number. It seemed the system would not take my number as it is of Canada?

I am getting calls from this almost daily

BEWARE!!!! Spoofed caller id.  SIP (VOIP) calling system is being used. It is very easy to change your caller ID on these VOIP services to read whatever you want.  They made the mistake of calling my SIP service which logs the actual SIP origination point.  Calls are originating from a server with SIP phone number of 778-800-0466.  This is a BC Province wide overlay area code.  

I am also on the "do not phone" list in Canada, but coming from the USA - the now hotbed of scammers - it does no good. I wish I could find a fax for them - bomb their fax 24/7/365 [from my computer] .... see how they like THAT.

Does anyone know (or can anyone find) a fax number for these scammers?  After receiving 2 calls per day from this number, I'd *love* to fax them - every 5 minutes - 24/7.

My telephone screen showed this call from Georgia USA and when you answered a voice taped was offering a totally FREE installation of security alarm on my house, press key number one the tape says and you will be connected with an agent to settle the fantastic deal.., ha,ha,ha.
I did that and a woman with a british colony islands accent picked up the phone to service my ?call?. But, before she continued talking nonsense I asked her of where is her office or where is she calling from, she hesitate a little and after a couple seconds she answer: ?Canada!
When I told her that the call was ID in Georgia she hanged up.

Same automated message as above. I pressed 1 to talk to the salesperson. I asked if she knew where I was and she said she didn't but if I'd give her my 5 digit zip code, then she would know. I told her I don't have one because I'm in Canada and she is bothering me and she and her company could "get lost" and hung up on her. Interestingly, my phone immediately rang back with a different long distance number which I didn't answer. That number appears to be coming from California. Looking like there might be some scamming going on here.

I answered this call and a recording saying the FBI reports that there is a robbery every 14 seconds your local police recommend to get a security system! we will do it for free! all you have to do is let us place a "small sign in your yard and we'll install it for "FREE with no install fee". They had a press 9 option to have number removed from their calling list.

Since I am in Canada an FBI report is not the best reference to use to attract me. Nevertheless my policy "not to buy" from a phone call or from a knock at the door still prevails. It has always worked for me!!

Called me at work on my cell.  Did not pick up because I do not recognize the number.  No message left.  Am on the do not call list in Canada.  If they were legit they would respect it.

Just got a call from this number. No voice mail was left.

I am a canadian and also on a do not call list, she started say about FBI but cut her off. Very annoying....

I took the call so I could let them know I was on a do not call list. I asked where she was calling from as she had an accent, and was clearly not Canadian. She said she was calling from Canada - - obviously a lie given the area code on call display.  I like to keep the scammers on the line as long as possible, to screw with them. As long as they are talking to me they are not calling others and, by the end of the call they realize it was them that was being scammed. My small victory. Then I submit a complaint.

Rcvd call, answered, no voice immediately hung up.  I'm on the Canadian Unsolicited phone list? Caller ID said Georgia.

Called my land-line at 12:01 Pacific today, offering free home-security system, if I put a sign promoting their company in my front end.

Yeah, sure, probably a very-sneaky way to get credit-card information from me.
