Centurylink has a feature which stops telemarketers from calling through. The best part is that it is free and does work. We have been using it for about two months and unwanted calls have gone from more than ten a day to maybe one or two a week. Maybe other telephone companies have a similar product.

I continually press the 9 key. If it's an auto dialed call the 9 key will knock your number out of their computer. Only if it has been auto dialed will it work...otherwise answer the phone with a whisper saying  "yeah, the job is done but there's blood everywhere, then hang up!

I had a call from GADS1 which used this number while I was out doing VBS.  I will not call them.  If it is truly important they will call back.  But I am very tired of being harassed by the robo calls, telemarketers, etc. who make one's life miserable by calling every day--or every couple of days.  I have taken to complaining to the Do Not Call List.  If I do pick up a call--which I usually don't, I let them babble a moment then partially cover the phone and say "Officer, was that long enough for you to trace the call?"  Doesn't work every time but it is rather amazing how fast they hang up!

I got the exact same call.  He told me to go to computer and open it. Clearly a scam!

The Samsung S3 call block mode only send calls to voice mail. Get MR Number and the phone IS blocked. Its Free
If someone DOES leave a recorded VM it still wastes your time getting it.

Calls no message. On Do Not Call List and that is exactly what it means.

Any number can be "spoofed". You can go to a website and give them any number you wish to show up on the called person's caller ID, instead of your own. For a time, I was getting maybe 15-20 of those calls per day. and I just didn't answer (on my cell phone). I'd hit the "quiet" or "ignore" button. Some of the numbers were all "1's". Any old number. After a while, the calls slowed in frequency -- I might get one of these calls a day -- and it's been the 404-891-5588 number that led me here. I don't think the Do Not Call registry can do a single thing about spoofed calls, because they have no control over the spoofing websites. This number has called more than once - it is recorded - something about a credit card - I hang up and do not listen to the rest of the 'message.!

Receive repeated calls from this number in spite of asking to be removed.  It's a company offering low interest rates on credit cards.  Annoying!

I have been receiving calls from this number for the past week. Two days ago, I got a phone call and when I answered, the line disconnected. When I called it back, it said its a customer communications management platform. Gave me an option to press one to speak to a customer service rep or 2 to be removed from the call list. I pressed 1 to speak to a customer service rep but I listened to music for like 5 seconds and then it told me to leave a message. I called back and pressed 2 to be removed from the call list. I thought it was all over with..until today. I just got TWO MORE PHONE CALLS!!! How can I make this stop?

turn the call around and ask the person calling if they like bbq - they get pissed off for wasting there time - we need to find these do***e bags and remove them from the planet and send them deep into uranus !!!

Spoke with the guy for a little while.  Wanted to access my computer as they have received reports of errors on my PC, He is not selling anything but available for full technical support??  Asked for type of errors.  He said "Security Errors"  I asked what Type of PC i have, he said it is a "windows computer" and I replied with - I do not have a windows computer.  He said, Thank you and hung up.

got a call from 404-891-5588. I just do not answer these calls, and of course they leave no message. I am on the do not call list too and will let them know too.

Caller ID: GADS1 (404)891-5588  Male with accent stated that he was calling about my windows computer and that they are tracking said computer for downloading malicious content.  I laughed told him not to call again.  (BTW - I have a Mac).  Definitely phishing and up to no good.  Do not engage with this number!

This phone calls me many times  and I answered they  telling me  my computer is in virus  and he said he can fixed but I don't believe him

We received 8 calls from this number today from 4:46-4:55 pm. Same thing telling my husband they could lower our interest rate. Kept calling back then finally kept asking my husband if your sexy daughter was home. What a sick person the phone company told us to dial *57 next time the call comes through and to notify the police.

These people called me and were very rude and nasty. The man sounded like he was native and had a very thick accent. He rushed me with an attitude out of this world. . He told me that he could lower my interest rate. He proceeded to tell me the first 4 numbers of my credit card and then told me to read off all other numbers so that he can confirm my account . He asked for all it my info on my card . That's when I got belligerent and told him to never call me again. He start yelling "you chose number 2 to speak to us, we don't need you "! The nerve !! Put these people on blocked, they are scam artist looking to get your info and suck you DRY!

Everyone should know that Any telemarketer or anyone can "spoof" a number. You can buy a spoof card on ebay that allows you to enter any number you want to be displayed on anyone's caller id. I could call you and display 1234567 if I wanted to.  So the Do not call list will not work since plenty phone numbers on your caller I'd are not actual real phone numbers.

I got a call from 404 891 5588 at 8am California time on my cellphone. It was prerecorded. My cellphone is on the federal DNC list. When I was transferred to a live person he said that it was a survey and that they were offering to reduce my credit card interest rate. He repeatedly indicated that he was calling from Bank of America. When I started asking questions he used profane and obscene language and made physical threats against me, as well as racist remarks. When I called back to the number, there was no way to reach a live person or find out the name of the caller.

You are a telemarketer. Check your DNC lists, prior to making unwanted (by us) calls.

They called again.  Same deal.  This time, I told him to hold, put the phone down and continued watching TV.  The phone went off-hook 5 minutes later.  Take that you basturds. Maybe they'll stop.  The DoNotCall list sure doesn't work.
