This number keeps calling,but hangs up after 3 rings,so it's obviously a scam.

Robo call.  they left a message about energy or something.  A waste of my time.

The other item they need to include in the revised legislation is to prescribe severe dollar and prison penalties for the use of phony telephone numbers, i.e., the use of numbers not issued by a legitimate telephone company (common carrier).  It is not unusual for us to get calls from phony, computer-generated tie-lie numbers that originate in the Philippines, India and Canada, all with the same illegal, fraudulent intent.  PLEASE WRITE YOUR ELECTED REP IN DC!!!

Another stinking, shameless fraud.  This morning's message from these people, at 9:05 AM ET, was about energy.  Bunch of garbled, distorted blather.  Not very impressive.  Soliciting contributions to a P O Box in Alexandria, VA.  The expectation is that all such contributions will be pocketed by the organizers, and the only energy involved will be to deposit the checks in their bank and disappear.  USPO has to reveal who took out the P O Box when the box renters deal with the public.  Call back number is 888-443-5862.  This organization uses a variety of phony, computer-generated numbers ranging from Washington to Florida for a wide array of shameless frauds.  The Do Not Call list has simply become an invitation for all these Godless devils, phonies, frauds, thieves, politicos, telemarketers, surveys,etc. to call and harass us at all hours and even on Sundays.  It would figure that these Godless devils would not be in church on Sundays or even in the synagogue on Saturdays.  This is a good time to contact your elected representatives by E-mail, fax and letter to completely revise the Do Not Call laws to stop political calls, telemarketers, surveys, charitable, solicitors and any other calls from organization you do not have an actual relationship with.  Even most of the charitable and solicitation calls are from pathetic thieves.  The laws must prescribe severe  prison and dollar penalties for violators.  We are being inundated with unwanted, truly annoying political calls at this time.  Who cares about their idiotic, nonsensical, lying messages?  We turn off the landlines after 7 PM, so the little ones can sleep in peace.  Anyone we know who really has to get ahold of us after 7 OM can call our cell phones.  P-LEASE WRITE YOUR ELECTED REP IN DC!!!!

Your number is now listed in every telemarketing company, political callers and others and it is legal because they are partners with publishing clearing house.  Your best bet is to block or restarted the callers I'd with something like 'scammers' so you know who they are.

As of today On my own personal phone I have blocked 29 callers this week alone.  404-891-6901 number said it was tax relief news, a recorded message, I just let it play and put  the phone up to  music.

I saved the last call as "CRAP" so naturally I forgot about who it was. There are so many CRAP calls out there. Bad enough when a person calls. Should be illegal to have a machine call. You have no one to be mean to!!!!!! ha ha hahahahaha

Sorry to hear that. It goes to show that any company that utilizes telemarketing isn't worth doing business with even if they are legit. They still telemarket us because people, like yourself, buy from these people. Same goes for spam they still spam email because it still makes them money from people responding to their spam.

I try to call back, and it is always busy. This is obviously a bottom feeder!!

They call at least once a week. They leave a cut off voice mail.

I got a call from "Reggie Banks" of this internet paper. He sold me 4 ads for my craft shop. They have never run an ad anywhere that I can see. My business has been exactly the same and now I'm out $4200.00 a month for the past 3 months and the next 3 months. Visa will NOT cancel the charges, BTW. They rum your credit card number as a 431 mandatory fees charge and it cannot be taken off. I am just sick over all of this.

Got a call from this number with the caller ID of TAX RELIEF NEWS.  When I answered and said hello there wasn't anyone there.

I downloaded "Repeat Dialer"  Found it on google.com Then I got a magic jack and put a modem in my computer.  I search the internet until I find the inbound main phone number to these scam business. Then I set the dialer to dial their number for hours, Thousands of times. they like to dial and so do I.  The dialer I use is free to try and it is built to be the first caller into a radio station to win tickets and such...  It has no mercy, it dials and dials,  Fast very fast-  If they pick up the phone it don't matter it calls them back over and over and over thousands of times per hour and hundreds of times per minute.  You will be suprised how fast it dials and how pissed they will be.   When I'm done I have them pulling out their hair in frustration. lol  Give it a try. you'll love it.   It doesn't take a lot of learning to do this.    Get evan with the jerks. smile. good luck.

Yep, called my cell and I amswered they hung up.. I tried to call back and the phone rings busy. Jerks

These people call me twice a day. I call back, and select "1", per their recorded directions, in order  to remove my number from their call list. Still, they call twice a day. It's irritating and I want off of their call list.

The "big deal" is that blocking and ignoring trims the weeds but does not kill them at their roots. Determined junky callers know that people are trying to defend themselves with gadgets, and have escalated the arms race by acquiring more numbers and/or spoofing CID. The worst callers make themselves too elusive for an individual to catch and punish in court, which is why avenues for collective and regulatory action are vital to maintain.

I'm always stunned at how many people seem so helpless in the face of this nusence.  With so many communication devices and so many ways of blocking unwanted calls how is it that anyone believes they need the government and DNC to protect them?  Come on folks, just get a call blocking phone or cell app and be done with it.  What's the big deal? Once you do this you only need come here once in a while to see if you might be blocking someone you actually wanted to talk too.  Other than that you will never hear from them again.

You got the right idea.  For those who have dropped land lines it's even easier.  There are dozens of call blocking apps out there.  I use Call Blocker Pro on my Blackberry but I'm sure there are plenty of others that work just fine.  You simply block telemarketer calls with a couple buttom taps and voila - you never hear from them again.  All these apps give you plenty of flexability for your circumstances.

someone from an auto dialer keeps calling the number on my caller ID is 404-891-6901 it says to press 9 to be removed but they never remove you from it and they keep calling. The name from the company sound like Tax relief.com or something like that. it says to press 2 to speak to arep and so I did and the phone call got dropped. if some knows how to report these people please advice.
