Amen.. thank  god  my daughter  didn't  get  scammed. I  thank  god for calling pay-pal  first before shipping anything. Nigeria?  really ! seemed like a  pretty  far distance for an  i-phone to go. The exact address  was  given to me, that i see everyone posting. Pay-Pal has the  confirmation e-mail  about the payment that was  "supposedly" sent ( "pending  delivery that is ) they  are tracking these  idiots now.  So  i   urge  everyone too  save thee confirmation  e-mail  about this  supposed payment  and send it to   www.spoof@paypal..com

WOWWWW.. i CALLED paypal to confirm the mailing  address and  to see if this was ligit. It's the biggest  scam  EVERRR. Paypal said  to  me that  there is never a "hold" on  the funds until  the  merchandise is delivered, it is immediately deposited onto your paypal account !  please tell everyone you know about this. The  guy is  telling me that his money  has  been sent to  me and he's  calling  the FBI !  lmaoooo

Got a text from these guys...offering alot of money for it. I was happy. talked to my husband first, he told me to check the number to see from where they where texting from.

same here, had a PS3 on craigslist. Got a text an hour later from this number. i wrote my phone number out on the add (did six 5 seven etc.) so either they have a decent bot that can read it or someone is physically making the texts.

Definately a scam.. I knew it right from the get go.

Thanks to this site, i just dodged a bullet....  Was trying to sell a cell phone and this samuel mart responded to my cl ad. i was asking $50, he offered $320!!!!  At that point i knew it was a scam.  Then a buddy of mine who was actually here remembered the address as being the same people that got him for a laptop!!!  Needless to say, lesson learned.  Thanks to this site i just saved myself a hugh headache!

Was trying to sell my two android phones on kijiji and I was getting very ify about giving the guy my email address so he can sne dme the money to my bank and then he wanted me to send both phones to him and pay the shipping. I then found this site and thanks to you guys I never did thank you again you saved me from getting scammed.

Just receive a message from this number tryint to buy trough paypal or bank transfer a tablet that i advertise on kijiji, as sson as i saw the area code from outside my province i thought, ups carefull, thanks to you all for the comments and thanks for the wabe page its great.

I received a text from an add I was running on KSL.com for a PS3. they wanted me to send it to Nigeria. My husband said no to the sell!

yup got the same type of message, i was on Kijiji selling iphone, asking to ship to Nigeria, pastor's kid, yata yata yata.  what a farce.

thanks to a quick google search I had the same number texting me its the same scam i wasnt able to get to the shipper though so i never got scammed

they of course deny they are trying to scam you once i called them out.

I too am selling my iphone 4 on kijiji and now changing the listing to not put my cell number there

caught this right away as a scam

Trying to buy my iPhone 4 on kijiji.ca wanting me to send to their son in Nigeria, offers payment via paypal and internet banking then retracts and will only offer paypal

good thing i didnt send this to them appear they either send you phishing email with fake paypal site to "show you money is there"

It seems when you use kijiji and/ or CL these scammers find a way to try and bilk you out of your stuff.  It's very evident from the style of grammar and spelling that his is the first clue.  (Then comes the tel#.)

Mostly these scams are originating from Africa.  Shame honest folk can't sell there stuff anymore without being shafted.  Kudos to this site,  it's a great place to let people know that they are out there.

Someone from this number text & "bought" an Iphone from me (listed on kijiji.ca) - paying thru paypal. Turned out to be a scam. Shoulda known when the alleged paypal emails withheld the funds until I shipped it to ensure safety for both parties.  TOTAL SCAMMERS - the item was sent to Nigeria - hoping I can still get it back thru Canada Post.
Lesson Learned.

When i found out that it was a scam (called PAYPAL security for confirmation) and told them to kindly f-off, i received an assassination threat. Scary folks.
