I RECEIVED A CALL FROM MR. HARRISON. IT'S TRUE THAT I DO OWE THE DEBT. THEY ARE A COLLECTION AGENCY, SEEMS AS THOUGH THEY USE THE WORSE COLLECTION TACTICS EVER, BUT, THEY ARE NOT A SCAM. AS I'M READING THROUGH ALL THESE STATEMENTS, IT SEEMS AS THOUGH ALL U PEOPLE ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN BASHING THEM B/C THEY'RE TRYING TO GET MONEY BACK THAT U IN FACT OWE. APPARENTLY, IN CERTAIN STATES, THESE PAYDAY LOANS CAN BE CONSIDERED AS CHECK FRAUD AND THESE ARE PUNISHABLE ACTS. U SHOULD READ UP ON THINGS B4 U REACT. IF U REPORT THEM, THEY CAN SUE U IN COURT FOR A NUMBER OF THINGS. IT WOULD COST U MORE IN THE LONG RUN. I OFFERED THEM $430 ON A BAL OF $1209 AND THEY TOOK IT. I RECEIVED A LETTER 6 DAYS LATER SAYING MY ACCT WAS CLOSED AND PAID. END OF STORY. I KNEW I OWED IT AND I'M TRYING TO GET MY CREDIT BACK. U PEOPLE R ALL IDIOTS. DON'T BORROW THE CASH IF U CAN'T PAY IT BACK. & IF U OWE IT, DON'T GET PISSED WHEN COLLECTORS USE THEIR CRAZY TACTICS TO GET THEIR MONEY BACK. ALL UR DOING IS MAKING IT WORSE ON URSELVES.

WOW..Mr. Harrison is a busy man. He also called a former employee of mine stating he was an investigator for Rosenberg and Associates and I was wanted for social security card fraud. When she stated that she didnt have contact information for me he told her that I shouldnt be trusted that I was a thief. NICE JOB MR. HARRISON. I called Mr. Harrison back and there was no answer but he called me back in 5 mins. When I asked Mr. Harrison what was going on he told me to give him my name and I did. Then he stated I need your ss card number so I told him well heres the number to my lawyer and he got nasty and asked me if I wanted to fight and go to jail. What a big man threatening a single mom who lost her job and can barely make ends meet BRAVO!!!. Then when I said to call my lawyer he stated that he will and that I need to shut the F--- UP and listen to him. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!!! I asked him why he would say those things to my former employee he just said I WILL SEE YOU IN JAIL and he hung up on my face. It is frustrating the way they treat you and call people you know and lie. I have dealt with several collection agencies and so far only one was polite when I said I had to file for bankruptcy they took the lawyers information and then said good luck and good bye.

They collect on out-of-state payday loans.  They broke several laws trying to contact me.  Additionally they sent me one of their employee's performance evaluations, social security number and all.

They might even have cost me my job.

FTC has been notified.

I received a call from Mr. Harrison, leaving me a message stating that he was from Rosenberg and Associates and was investigating a fraud case.  He said to call him back because he did not want to make any assumptions about my statements.

I have forwarded this information on to the Illinois Attorney General.  I am interested to see what they have to say about this.

Call from this number to a neighbor stating I was facing felony fraud charges for a debt from 2008.  I was threatened with jail if I did not pay $100. by Friday, call came around 7:30 p.m.  I am disabled so on a fixed government income and this upset me so bad I could not stop crying.  Also, the 'investigator' said he would only take a debit card or automatic draft from my checking account.  I do not want to give anyone access to my bank account.  I am going to contact the Chief of Police, whom I know personally and get his input.  I remember vaguely that I borrowed money online but thought I paid all back, however, he may be correct that I owe it.  What I don't like is the method being used and demanding money right now. I have $20 until the 1st when my check comes from SSD.

I received a phone call last night at 8:30 p.m. well actually my neighbor did and came over and said to call this investigator it was about a fraud case against me.  I called and Mr. Harrison told me I have to pay a $100 by Friday and I am on disability. They said the same thing, I would be charged with felony fraud if I did not follow through. What bothered me and made me suspicious is that they said they need my bank account info. and I won't give that out.  They would not accept any other form of payment.  I am going to call our local police department and do some more research.  I have heard of call centers that use these tactics to collect a debt.
