OMG yes they called me this morning from an unknown number so I didn't answer because I never do answer phone numbers or private calls and they stated the same thing about me having check fraud when I don't even write checks lol I knew immediately that it was a scam and so I got on the Internet and found all of these messages from people experiencing the same scam

I received a call on my voice mail  this a.m. with the same info. I knew it was a scam, so I immediately went online to research, and as I assumed there was a wealth of info on this very same scam. The # left for me to call is (202)241-4600. Name left was "Investigator Sam Wilson". I'm in Cleveland, Ohio.

i get the same calls one said that i was being taken to court over a payday loan.  The last car said check fraud but i just ignore them. I do not answer the phone or call them back.

Someone called my sister and asked her to call her back regarding me but using my maiden name.  Reagan Mills.  Same name as all of these posts.  She said there was a case number.  How weird is it that it coincides with the same week that I bought something from ebay in my maiden name.  SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

I got a call from a Sgt. Davis stating that I owe BMG a payday loan.  I don't know anything about this and she said that she will be sending my information to my job.  She couldn't tell me who BMG is.  She said I had received letters and emails from BMG and I haven't received anything and I haven't talked to anyone.  She told me that I owe $1,955.00 for a payday loan.  Could someone tell me who I can talk to.  She left me her number to call her back at 1:00pm to let her know what I am going to do. I told her that I don't have that kind of money. I told her that I will call my attorney and she got a little upset and decided to hang up.  She wanted me to pay $375.00 dollars a week or however I get paid until I pay the amount out.

Same thing here.  Agent Davis calling from 404-935-9480, a warrant for check fraud from a payday loan.  I immediately knew it was a scam and reported it to the Federal Trade Commision, my states district attorney, who else should i report it to?

This is some uneducated person who supposedly represents DTA (whatever that is) and claims to be an "agent" of some sort who yells and screams and talks over me each time I try to get an answer out of her.  Would not answer any questions, not even what "DTA" stands for.  When I asked what this issue is, I was told that I have a "complaint" against me and that "action is being taken" and I should pay my bills, etc.  Very rude and when I asked for paperwork on this "complaint" I was told "that is not what our company do" and when I corrected her English (it should be "what our company does") she got very belligerent and told me that no one can help me, even though I told her that bill was discharged in bankruptcy earlier this year.  Again she told me to pay my bills, was VERY rude and kept talking over me.  I am reporting this number to my state's consumer protection department of our Attorney General's office and the FTC.

These people keep calling me claiming that I committed check fraud for a PayDay Loan.  They call themselves "Agents", and they threated me with legal proceedings if I didn't pay them.  When asked for Validation they claim they can only provide very basic information such as the balance they claim is due,my email address, and 2 personal contacts.  They claim that is all the validation I need and said they would take me to court if I don't pay.   Please be aware of these people, The person I spoke with claimed her name was Regan Mills, when I called 404-935-9480 back the operator claimed they had so many staff members that she could not connet me with Regan Mills but she could assist.  DON'T BE FOOLED.

If anyone knows the name of this scam collection agency please post it asap!!!!

I kept receiving calls saying I was under indictment for income tax fraud. When I called back all I ever got was an answering machine. I left polite messages requesting do not call this number that were ignored. Don't quote me on this but I heard from a very reliable source that if you use auto redial and leave about 30 or so miscellaneous messages in one night agent Davis gets very upset and stops calling. Perhaps if everyone did that she may get the message and hang it up. Well it's just a thought.

You are right I got the same calls telling me if I or my attoney did not respond in 24 hours I would go to jail.I placed a call to the FBI and the FCC to put these scumbags out of business for good.Do not respond to this call they are no good and will scam you out of money.

I received two calls from 404-935-9480. This is harassment or stalking.

I received harassing calls from 404-935-9480 twice. How do I block this caller from my cell phone?

I received a call from them today (Never gave the Company Name or who they were asking for and saying I need to contact them back or have my Lawyer call them regarding Tax Fraud.  The message said to call one of these numbers and respond within 24 hours or go to jail!

404 935 9487 / 404 935 9490 This was from Agent Davis or something like that.

I am going to file a complaint for violation with my States Attorney General and I encourage everyone to do the same and report this type of harassment.

We just got a call from this person stating my daughter is involved in tax evasion. Called the lady back and she would not give us her phone number and no other info; she wanted my daughter's phone number and we advised her we do not know it. She harassed us and gave us a hard time because we would not give her my daughter's number. We advised her not to call our number again and she hung up on us.

Got a call stating that I was being investigated for check fraud, a couple time from this company, and each time they say I owe Aspen Pay day loans $ 1267.30, which I never heard of, and I request proof and all they sent out was a letter telling me I owe $ 1267.30 to a company called Instant Loan till pay day.com. and each time they call I turn on the recorder, and they get very pissed off and stated they can not give me any info pertaining to my case that was filed. So I mailed letters to them certifiend and regular mail and they never seem to get my letters requesting proof of my debt per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Section 809(b), So the lady told me maybe they got lost, lol. So I am going to file a complaint for violation with my States Attorney General and will hire a lawyer to file a law suite for harassment, since they are accusing me of being a criminal and that I will be arrested if I dont pay. Screw Them

They call saying you are being investigated for CHECK FRAUD and you or you attorney have 24hs to respond. Agent Davis is the person who answers claiming you are being investigated for CHECK FRAUD? When questioned she claims her name is Ms. Secce and located at P.O.Box 47995, Atlanta, GA. This is a Scammer type collection agency that is using illegal tactics!!!!!!

They called me and told me they were investigating me for tax evasion and I had 24 to call them or I would go to jail.Do not respond this is a scam and I have called the FBI to check on these scamers.

I call the FBI. They are down their right now gathering evidence on these scumbags.
