It's from an inmate still in intake, which I think is why they aren't allowed to leave a message? My guy has just been transferred to Fulton County and hasn't gone into the dorms yet, and he's called me twice from the number. So this IS a legit Fulton County number. Perhaps they don't allow the message prompt to prevent communication without accepting the phone call.

I have received a call from this number several times tonight.  I didn't answer and when I tried to call to see who it was, it said it was disconnected.  Duh. Glad I looked at this site!  My son has called me from jail a couple of times and my heart always drops when I don't recognize and number and they don't leave a message.  Whew

block these calls by calling 866.230.7761. They will ask for your name and billing address, but at least the collect calls will be stopped.

Having received a phone call from an inmate at the Fulton County Jail within the past year or so, I can honestly say from firsthand experience that the NAME of the inmate is clearly identified with those types of calls, and it's usually stated BY the inmate. Nearly identical to a standard "state your name at the beep" collect call, actually.

It's not some sort of vague/nameless canned recording, like this scam is doing. Fulton County specifically tells you who is calling.

My mother recieved this call 12 times in a 3 hour period and twice the next day... I personally called the # she was given and spoke to a lady.. she denied knowing the person making the calls or the name of the person the caller asked to be called.  I in return, let her know that I was NOT happy at all with this situation and that I felt like she was lying and that it had better NOT happen again!!! We reported the calls .   I work every day as well as my mother and the rest of our family.. If you don't have anything better to do than prey on innocent, hard working, Job holding people, McDonalds is hiring everyday!!! Go get a Job!!!!

I been receiving a call from this number (404-942-0300) for several days said it was a collect call then the call would hang up; called the number back a recording stating that the phone is not in service. After being called during throughout the Christmas Holiday, I decided to find out who this number belongs came across this site to find out someone is calling me from Fulton County Jail. I called the Fulton County Jail (404-613-2049) to report this and had my phone number blocked.
Hopefully I want be receiving anymore more call. Thanks this site was very helpful.

It's a one way call from the common room in the jail. Calls can only be made one way from inside jail. They can't recieve calls from outside. Call global talk if you want to set up an account with the innmate. Caller will be seven dollars cheaper per call this way.

That is a call from Fulton county jail. It means somebody you know or knows you is locked up and trying to call you. That's why it's expensive. Duh

We received calls from this number on my cell phone. Don"t know how they found my number. As others have indicated, when I returned the call I was told the number is disconnected. Also receiving calls from unlisted numbers so no way to trace them. Is there a way these numbers can be blocked or do I need to call Verizon?

Fulton County Jail (Georgia) payphone call. This is a SCAM. DO NOT follow instructions. If you do you will be putting call forwarding from your phone to their payphone and you will be stuck with very large phone bills.

THIS IS NOT A SCAM. It's an inmate at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta GA trying to reach their loved one. You shouldn't except the call unless you recognize the recorded persons name on the name announcement. The call is $2.60 per call (if you are local), if you do.

And, if you accept one by accident you will have to call "Correctional Billing" to get the charges reversed. Hope this helps :0)

This phone number is a payphone at the Fulton County Jail. The inmates are picking numbers at random trying to get people to accept their call and then call someone for them by hitting 72# and a number. If you do this, it forwards your phone service so that this inmate can charge phone calls to your phone. Best bet is to not accept the call. Have your number blocked by calling (404) 613-2049. Officer Oliver over Security will block your number.

I've received calls from this number back to back, and then my daughter received one after I did not answer my calls.  I looked up the number and found out that other people are getting the same call and supposedly, it is from a Jail House in Atlanta.  Don't know anyone in any Jail.  I must figure out how to block these calls.  I don't want them!!!
