Call from 404-952-2179, claimed he was from American Express then he mentioned one of our customers needing to change their payment information. Ok that doesn't add up. He had a very thick accent. He did stutter when he mentioned our customers name also while leaving his return number. DO NOT RETURN A CALL FROM THAT NUMBER.

Call from Amadou. Claimed to be from American Express. Said it was about an invoice, "about payment of an invoice." He mentioned one of our clients (did he get that off the web?) but mispronounced their name. Referred to a company as "she." He had a thick (island?) accent, stuttered and back-tracked a bit. He began to give a call-back number that started with 6, then changed to 404-952-2179

Got a call from 404-952-2179 (Amadou), he kept asking questions about our company and wanted us to sell us on credit card services.  Sounded like a scam, he really was just fishing for information.  Had thick accent, could not understand him very well.  Do not respond to calls from this company.

Received a phone call from Amadou, claiming he was from Royal Bank, asking to speak with someone from Accounts Payable.  No one was available, so I just took a message.  No one here will be getting back to him.

Christiana said she was calling on behalf of some of their clients wanting to know if we accepted American Express.  Wanted to verify the last 4 digits of our merchant number.  Then, when asked where she was calling from, she said she was calling from American Express.  Suspicious, I told her I didn't have this info, but she could speak to the manager.  She declined and said she could look us up in her system so I didn't have to do any extra work, and wouldn't you know it, there we were in her system and we do take American Express! (?!?!?!)  She then said she had the info she needed and now that she knows we take American Express, she was all set.  She was a little quick to end the call once I suggested she speak to my manager.  Wouldn't someone FROM American Express already know we take American Express?  (Duh!)  I bet they call businesses and do this to get merchant numbers a few digits at a time from different employees until they have the whole number.

Call came in and was picked up by Voice Mail.
Caller said her name was Christiana.
Caller claimed to be with American Express calling on behalf of California State University.  That there was a change in their purcahsing procedures that we, as a vendor, needed ot be made aware of.
I am not returnign the call.
