It is a scam!! Hang up don't accept and report it to the jail & Phone co.

It is not spam. somebody that you know is calling from a dekalb county jail and they simply want to speak to you, the calls aren't free doe so that's y u would have to make a credit card payment, i do it all the time..

Matt, roke, M and Cherie are all part of the same scam.  If you call the line they will then personally try to convince you to pay for the collect call.

You're so full of s*** it must hurt.  Find another job, why in the hell would anyone go to this forum to tell us that it is not a scam under the pretense of having a relative in jail.

I received 2 calls  either on Friday night or sometime Saturday (received on my cellphone) voicemail wanting me to set-up an account.  Also received another call last night Sunday wanting the same thing and you cannot dial back the number they are listing.

Harrassment.  These people should be stopped.  They also use an 866 number.  Report them to local officials and the phone companies.  Whichever company gives scam artists numbers should also be held liable if an unwitting person is taken advantage of.   Report to Do Not Call list complaint dept also.

Received 2 calls today form Dekalb County Jail wanting me to set up an account to receive the phone call.

6 Calls within 30 minutes - Five of them went to answering machine. The sixth call I picked up and did not speak - it eventually hung up.

They call at least once day if not more.  It's an automated phone call asking if I want to accept this collect call.

I recevied two calls withing 15 minutes from DeKalb County in Georgia County prison.  It was a collect call from an Inmate.  Do not call me again.  The call type was an Inmate.

I get the call once in a while, but today it was 5 times.
Definitely a scam.

really not a scam, this is just someone who knows your number and is in Dekalb County Jail, calling you collect, you can't call them back but you can request to have your number blocked so they cannot call you, just call 18662307761, listen to the options and get a person on the phone, then ask that they block your number, thats all

call 18662307761, go thru the menu options, press 0 twice and evetually you'll speak to someone who can block ur number, I have the same issue

Received a collect call from the DeKalb County Jail from an "unknown" number so can't check it.  Has to be a scam.  Scared me to death but I don't know who to report it to.

How do I block these calls on a cell phone! A friend of mine gave another "previous friend" who is in Dekalb County Jail my cell phone # and I CAN'T ACCEPT THE CALLS IF I WANTED TO!!!! UGH! I GET THE CALLS 5x a day! I can't accept collect calls w/o placing a $50.00 deposit and dont want to even talk to this guy. And my cell comp. wont let me block calls w/o changing my entire #! WUT DO I DO???

I have received already 5 calls from this number telling me that someone from the Dekalb jail would like a collect phone call. I have no one in jail at this time, how to I stop this non sense.

It is not a scam. I recieve twelve calls a day from my boyfriend whom is locked in dekalb county jail and the reason you cant call phone back because it is a payphone for imates to use. Every jail have their on way for imates to call their love ones. I understand the paranoia but take the time to listen for the person name whom is trying to call you.

I received a call from 404.969.1230 - automated phone number asking for credit card details so that I could accept a collect call from an inmate in jail. Clearly a scam.
