I dealt with Samantha Barrett and Richard James with Grand Vacation Services and at the very end Brian Rodey. I also dealt with Zackary Lance with Platinum Closing International. I believe I was in the same group of sales as I was supposed to receive my money in late May and now neither company is reachable. The GVS phone line says it is not taking any more messages as the mailbox is full and Platinum will not answer their phone. If any one has any information on how to reach these companies or if they have a person that is legitimate and reachable, please post that info. I will be going after the money they stole from me.

If you received money from GVS or Platinum Closing, you're one of the criminals running those outfits (or is it just one outfit in Mexico?). This is a criminal enterprise bilking people of their money. I know because they got mine.

This post must be a fake post and was posted by an employee/someone at Grand Vacations Services. They are a scam company. Stay away from them.

Received a phone call in March 2013 and had contact with Greg Jensen, Brian Rhodie (sp) and David Miller at Grand Vacations Services and Zachary Lantz at Platinum Closing International. All four men guaranteed and promised me that I would receive money for my timeshare. They are all very good actors. It is now June 9, 2013 and no money received for my timeshare. Grand Vacations Services and Platinum Closing International all refuse to return phone calls, faxes or emails. Even the CEO and lawyer listed on the Platinum Closing International website refuse to reply to emails. Too bad I didn't know about this before posting/blog before getting involved with Grand Vacations Services and Platinum Closing International. If you get a call from Grand Vacations Services do not get sucked in. They are all very good con men!

Who was your closing company? Did you put money out upfront?

I received a call from Leon H. Brown at Grand Vacations Services in Oklahoma City, OK. I checked them out thoroughly - they are not listed with the BBB. Mr. Brown offered me his real estate license number which I checked on and it belongs to the "real" Leon Brown who works as a broker elsewhere. In addition, the "fake" Leon Brown had his closing company (Platinum Closing International, LLC) send me information so I could check on them. They are located in Denver, CO and are not listed with the BBB. In fact, they sent me a "fake" certificate from the Office of the Secretary of State in Colorado certifying their company.
Thank heavens for the internet. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM !!

Grand Vacations Services contacted me and we are interested in possibly doing business with this company. Did you have a good experience and how much did you have to pay out? Who was your broker?
Leon H. Brown contacted us.
Please reply. Thanks.

How about you stop commening until you can form coherent sentences and learn to use your shift key properly?
In the meantime, this is an old and obvious SCAM, complete with shills who are part of the scam trying to obscure the truth.
Disgusting.

Why does a buyer go thru a middleman at a premium price and why is his identity always kept secret ?
The Mayan reports very few transfers and some "buyers"report lots of transactions.

I received the same call and a letter of intent, which I am reluctant to open the file on my computer. I feel like it has to be a scam, but not sure.

Who is behind this number??
| Sir Bedevere 2013-02-15 22:50:28 Unknown |
Not being a member of the BBB is not a big deal. I regard the BBB themselves as being just this side of a scam. But no web site and no presence in Google? Major danger sign there! Avoid.

Melanie Jones called to ask if I would be interested in selling my Puerto Vallarta timeshare. She said that Grand Vacations has been in business for 7 years and that she has worked there for 3 years. Yet...no phone directory listing, no Better Business Bureau listing. One of her co-workers, a man, called to say that they are a private family business, so they don't show up on Google and don't subscribe to the BBB.
They say that there is no upfront monies to be paid, but the written proposal that they sent to me said that the "seller would be re-imbursed for research and transfer fees." "Re-imbursed"? Sounds like they will be asking for cash sometime soon...that will be "re-imbursed" to me!
Looks and sounds like a scam.

I got a call claiming to be from Leon H Brown with Grand Vacations Services. They had information about me and my time share, claiming that we were registered in a database of owners interested in selling. They wanted me to send back a Purchase Letter of Intent so that he could begin the process of selling my time share.
I callled the people that sold me the time share and they said some owners were complaining about scam calls. I looked up "Grand Vacations Services" with the BBB in Oklahoma City, OK and Leon H Brown in the OREC database. I could not find "Grand Vacations Services". I did find Leon H Brown, but he was listed with a different company. When I called them and they connected me with him, it was obviously not the same man.
I am pretty sure that there would be some fee that they wanted me to pay up front, that is the usual scam for this sort of thing. Of coarse they might have wanted my bank information to make a transfer. I am not sure, told him to go away.
