This is the OU alumni calling center, I used to work there. We call once a semester (twice a year) to update our alumni's contact information (mailing address, email address, and current employer). We also like to hear from alumni about their experience at OU, so we can figure out what they liked and disliked about their program, and make adjustments accordingly. Towards the end of the call, we do ask for a donation to for the specific college you graduated, or you can give to any OU program you'd like, any amount you like.
If you do not wish to be called by them, answer the phone and tell the caller to either "do not call" or "take me off your list". These are different because if you say "do not call" you will still receive email. If you say "take me off your list" you will receive nothing.
PLEASE. Be polite to the caller, this is just our job. We're proud of our university and we're paid to raise money for deserving students to have scholarships, students otherwise may not be able to attend OU. Know that we have good intentions, and I beg you to mind your manners. We are required to ask for money 5 times, $365, $200, $100, $50, and the amount of money that corresponds to your graduation year, (1965 = $19.65) If we don't ask, we're fired. So bare with us, please.

just got a call from them on my cell phone.  you want my money, OU?  Don't call my cell phone.

I constantly receive calls from this number.  There are hang-ups when I answer and when I call the number, the mailbox is full.  Once there was a recording saying it was from the OK alum. center.  There are no alum's in this residence.  There is no reason someone from this number should be calling.

Same here. I keep getting this call from this number and I never answer it!!! I am also an OU alum...PLEASE STOP CALLING ME FOR NOTHING!!!!

I am getting periodic calls from this number with no message left.  I would like the calls to stop.

I went to OU for Med School and only was in that state while I was in med school so I really do not have any other ties to Oklahoma anymore.  I got a call today, Sunday at 8:20pm.  They never leave a message which I find rather rude considering how this number sometime will call several days in a row.  BTW, I already give to their Annual Fund every year online.   Thanks for posting everyone.

Started calling my cell again!  Never answered it. I saved the number in my contacts and named it "Do Not Answer This Call" in case my family members have access to my phone. I have no connection to OU what so ever.  OU is on summer break so I don't see how any students would be calling. Sounds Phishy to me.

I graduated in 2008 and they call me every now and then as well. They never leave messages and I never answer. I'm going to have them removed asap.

I just graduated in 2006 and my next door neighbor in the Dorms worked for them (they only employee students from the university is my understanding). They are legit- however annoying.

I also went to OU, and grew up in Norman. I also got a call from this number on my cell at 8:40 pm.  They didn't leave a number.  What the freak?

Just started getting these calls. Always around the same time every day and never leaves a message. I'll try and answer today and see if I can get them to stop calling me.

This number calls my cell phone every night around 8:00.  I called it back from my work number and it is the Almni Outreach Center - but you can't leave a message because the mailbox is full.  I am an Alum, but I have never given them my cell phone number.  They would call my house number for a while, now it is my cell phone.

The caller never leaves a message on my answering machine.

I got a call from this phone number asking for a Malone. When I first said hello, there was silence, then they asked. Odd call so thought I'd look it up online and saw this. I'll post back if I get any additional phone calls.

Just got a call from this number.  They did not leave a voice mail message.  I grew up and attended ungraduate school at OU.  I have not lived in OKC since 1998.  I too decided to google the number and saw this blog.

it is ou alumni association call center...student callers. give em a break, they are trying to work while going to school and this is their job.  please, what happened to civility.  if u don't want them calling u, simply answer and ask to have ur # removed...it is that easy. I donated!  really nice student in same major I graduated from back in 1989.
