Its a couple, he spray painted the bumber of my car and wanted me to pay him $80 F**** them.

I had a post on craigslist for a camper we are selling..  this guy starts texting me saying he's very interested and said that he will send the money through pay pal.. He started texting my boyfriend and my boyfriend called me and I didn't understand why someone wouldn't want to come look at the camper first.  So I googled the phone number and found all these posts.  Boyfriend answered him with a final text "Im onto your game.. get lost" ha!! He did also say he was a marine biologist.  Come on guy... you maybe want to come up with a different story!!

same thing happened to me just now...I told him it's cash and carry...never heard back. You gotta be careful.

Same deal.  The spelling is getting better than a few years ago, though.  If only I had more time I would waste some of their's.  I kind of enjoy the scam inquiries, it is interesting to see their attempts.

I just received a text saying he was interested in my vehicle I have on Wausau craigslist and he said he needed my paypal account number because he was sending someone else to pick the truck up but would send the money to my account, I figured it was a scam thanks to all for confirming.

Evil people and their masters should get locked up in a dungeon.

Same thing for me wants to buy my truck for free through PayPal. There are evil people in the world!

The scam is still going on... I just recieved a text from this number asking if my Ford Ranger was for sale.  I ALWAYS google the numbers before responding back and saw these posts. Thanks.

I got a tex from the same number at 11pm September 12, 2012 about  our suv we are adverting on craigs list same story>> he was at sea and could not make calls and he was a marine biologist he was buying it for his dad as a gift and wanted me to sigh up for paypal He was VERY persistant on a pay pal..

Same here they texted me regarding a vehicle I have for sale on Craig's list Saying they were a marine biologist and wanted my truck for a gift for they're dad and needed my PayPal email address to send the money ... I said no cash in hand because the truck is my father n laws ... And plus I said I didn't have a PayPal account they were persistent even sent me the PayPal link to open an account lol ... I googled the phone number they were texting from to find this info ... Avoid this scam at all costs .. I td them I was contacting the Sherriffs department and Craig's list about this and told them to f--k off!! Needless to sat they haven't messages me again

The same thing just happened to me. He responded to an ad on Craig's list. Same story. A guy from Oklahoma is texting from a boat at sea?

Just had this number give me the same line over my truck in Michigan.  Told them to F*** Off!

just asked me tonight if i had the vehical for sale over text "8-20-12" says a oklahoma number online and im from Iowa and listed it under craiglist up here... no way its legit i thought and thanks to you guys its confirmed a scam... thanks everyone for the help! saved me alot of headache

At first i was interested that there is a good buyer. after he told me that he sent the money to my paypal account but he didnt know i was on paypal all day and all night so i called paypal customer service it there was any money transfer to my account they said no. so i went other direction and told them their phone number and they said that there is no paypal account linked to this phone. then i looked up on internet and found out that 405 595 0659 phone number has been registered in Oklahoma City, OK

Its a scam.  I don't know the details, but I'm sure its a scam.

They cannot receive or make phone calls because they are from India, Pakistan, or African and don't want you to hear their accent.

SAYS THEY ARE MARINE BIOLOGIST I NTERESTED IN A VEHICLE I HAVE FOR SALE . ASKING FOR A PAYPAL ACCOUNT NUMBER SO THEY CAN SEND MONEY TO IT. THEY SAY THEY ARE ST SEA SO THEY CANNOT RECEIVE OR MAKE PHONE CALLS. THEY SAY THEY ARE FROM ILLINOIS,BUT COULD NOT SPELL IT RIGHT IN TEXT.????????????
