So much for the do not call list.... a waste of money...
mary 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
You have won something, these calls which we get several times in one day are very annoying and downright upsetting because we have a sick relative in the hospital.
Fin 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
I am on the DNCL and have been getting these calls since last week. Any advise as to how I can stop them?????
SC 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
same thing - I pressed 9, and the operator was very rude, when I asked what company it was . How do you get off their list ??!!?!?!?!
MrsB 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
"Congrats! ... You have won a free trip to the Caribbean ... Please press 9 to receive your prize... "That's the number 9 press it now... to receive your prize...".

traceym 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
ive won so many trips to the caribbean, i dont know what to do with them ... who wants to go with me .. lol
RJ 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
I won the same trip as everyone else... but I DIDN'T press 9
Ron 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
same as all the rest... I complained to the CRTC because I'm on the DO NOT CALL list... hopefully they'll get a big fine!!!
Halitech 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
same as the rest, "you've won blah blah press 9, thats the 9 on the keypad blah blah blah'
My number is on the DNCL so I registered a complaint and also blocked them on my phone so they don't come through anymore.
Rick 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
You can complain to the DNCL, CRTC or whoever you want, but these calls originate in the US and there is nothing that the CRTC, DNCL or anybody else in Canada can do about it. You only option is to hangup immeditaely.

Received a call on my Call Answer in a nasal female US accented voice- "Press it now. Congratulations! You have just won a free all inclusive cruise to the Caribbean! To claim your prize, simply press 9, that's the 9 key. Press it now!"
Of course, I can't press anything because it's a message. I call the number and it is either busy or dead air or a Bell Canada message that may or may not be for real "We're sorry. Because of technical difficulties, we are unable to route your call. Please try your call again. 416-3" Then the same message is repeated in French. The message cycles through English and French twice more, then the line goes dead.
Why does Bell Canada (if this is actually Bell and not some smart aleck's recording of a Bell message) not permit the call to go through? Is Bell complicit -- directly or indirectly -- in this scam?
What does the number code mean?
midtown 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
Am in Toronto and this call originated from Montana - so Cdn DNC list is worthless - and you can not register a Cdn area code on the American list - I tried.
Anywayz......... Recorded msg. You won a free trip - press 9. Just hung up. Will block this number if they call back - my phone lets me do this without using the Bell Canada service - which you need to pay for.
Serpico 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
Calls originate in Bozeman, Montana...as with the other respondents, they seem to be targeting Atlantic Canada...This is the first time one has left a message to Dial 9...normally, when they hit a messagae centre, the call is terminated. My wife did take a call last week...same deal..Free Trip and then comes the invite to "confirm" your credit card or bank. I called both the BBB and Police in Bozeman...they were most helpful and pleased to get the tip.
Ha Ha Ha 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
Same as everyone else.... I'v won a trip.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
anon 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
can't someone get their address? spam them back with junk mail. I'd pay the postage to send all my junk mail (and then some) to them.
marsien46 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
Just receive on march 29 before noon
My number is on the DNCL so I registered a complaint and also blocked them on my phone so they don't come through anymore.
annoyed 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
No doubt! I get more than double the junk calls since I signed up for the do not call list! What a scam and I was prompted to do it by both the news and my telephone company! These calls should be illegal - but when you do complain half the time they say they can't do anything about overseas numbers or untraceable ones. How about this one?
Sam 2011-06-06 20:47:57 Unknown
Hey I just won the same trip. I wish these "a" holes would grt whats coming to them ,namely a free trip to jail.

- Hang up right away...
- DO NOT hit "9", just hang up...
- What these S.O.A.B. do is either charge your phone line or ask you for a credit card number to "verify" age. They also try to make you talk and say a few key phrases so that they can piece together an agreement from you.
Other times they'll call and tell you that you won a car, a cell phone, a new home, Apple products, etc...
HANGUPMODE 2011-03-30 15:56:27 Unknown
Why do they do this ? What's in there for a company who does this ? Is it to verify that the phone number randomly dialed is associated with a real person ? And then what ? It's not so much the call but the BIG LIE that disturbs me to a point of disgust... I'm glad to see that we are probably thousands to have won this boat cruise. What a party !!!! :o)
annoyed 2011-03-30 15:47:36 Unknown
Please stop as I would never get on one of your leaky boats EVER
bunting 2011-03-29 21:28:08 Unknown
oh to add, he did everything trying to get my sin# out of me and my phyical address.
Don't give it to them
