NPA/NXX = area code/prefix in numeric phone system. I think I have figured out some details to share - this is a group of mostly young callers that have been farmed out-scammed themselves, a robo call is sent out with various computer-recorded messages; tells you it is a survey or credit card or X, then reciever answers by punching a numbered response on their phone to gain personal information. I grabbed this call and punched in the number for credit card refinance and 'this is your last chance to refinance' type deal; so surprise a young man named 'Mike' answered me, said hello,howare you, so you called about the credit card refinance- is that right? yes I say- he says so HOW MUCH DO YOU OWE ON CREDIT CARDS? so I say, what? I don't know- how does this company work? What company is this? and 'Mike' HUNG up on me!! SO did Rachel when I answered her call last month. Although on the NAT - Do-Not-Call List I still receive these calls. These should be reported to FTC - scam -fraud- pure rudeness as well!NOTE-kids farmed out , so many numbers CAN'T BE TRACED>so the main cheaters can use these kids and their cell & landlines to scam and it never gets back to REAL abusers of the system!!

Now Mr, Rubini has moved his telemarketing debt scams to New Milford Ct. He went from scamming consumers with high interest credit cards out of 100k, of thousands of dollars now to charging illegial upfront enrollment fees for consumers in a very bad hardship with payday loans. His company is blasting out Illegial SMS text messages to a list of consumers that his company purchases\d of consumers that obtained with high interest payday loans. the FTC changed the laws back in Oct 2010 that now debt companies are allowed to charge any advance fees for their services until the actual services hace been provided. Also he seling these services to consumer in states which require a a bond and telemarketing license which he does not have. His company he now operates under is www.excitefinancial.1-800-603-1698.

If you tell them you don't have a credit card, they hang up on you pretty fast, because that is what they are after, and they don't call back

I found this on the BBB site. It gives the names of some of the companies that are responsable for the calls. They are ,CSTR SOLUTIONS INC, GENESIS CAPITAL MANAGEMENT, and MUTUAL CONSILIDATED SAVINGS.

Related number is 406-219-2301. I have received many of these calls, this was the number today. I decided to play along since they won't stop calling. Caller said his name was Paolo, said calling from Orlando when I asked. He rattled off several diff credit cards, visa, mc, amex etc., When asked what card he was calling abt and then said work with many banks, sited citibank, wellsfargo, etc. He asked if I had over $3000 in debt from all cards, I said yes. Then he pushed me to pick a card, I said visa and he pushed me for how much my CREDIT LIMIT was. I said I didn't know, he challenged and I said I didn't pay any attention. It was clear to me he wanted to size up how much $ he could take me for. Whn I asked what difference that made and how did it have anything to do with lowering my interest rate, he said I had to have a minimum of $700 available credit limit to qualify...ding ding sorry, I didn't bite. Told him to take my number off his computer list that I am on do not call list & hung up. Either he is in Montana and didn't think I knew that, or he really is in FL and using a Montana #. Some moron calling telling me that they wanted to lower my rates on my credit cards.  Wonderful - since I only have debit cards.

They pretended to have my card numbers, but wanted me to verify my info with them - you know - ~wink, wink~ for "security purposes".

I told him that what ever he had in his system must be correct since he was "with my bank".  Promptly told me that they would have to cancel my cards if I couldn't verify the info - I told him go ahead, I'll just pay for everything with cash and to have a "nice day".

Just a useless polish accented scam artist.

Got a phone call tonight from HELP CENTER.  Did not answer.  They did not leave a message.  I believe this is the second call from this number in a week.  I am documenting this in case they call again.  I hope the police officer is real and did investigate this company.  Annoying.

406-219-2659 is another number

406-219-2441. I got this call today. Thinking it might be from Capital One, I pressed 1 to talk to a representative. A man answered with a think foreign accent. He said he was from card services and would like to help me lower my interest rate. I asked him from what company was he... He said, "We work with Bank of America, Capital One, Chase..."  I promptly hung up. The thing is, I have/had all three of these cards at one time or another... I wonder if they know your history before they emit a call to you.

I got the call about my credit card big rates from 1-406 -219-2571 to my blackberry#  that I did give to any bank/company. Looks like a spam.

I'm starting to receive phone calls from 406-219-2525; 406-219-2951 - previous phone calls I received, they left no message on voicemail are from: 978-570-2306 and 207-493-2624. Thank goodness I have "mr number" and I'm able to have the settings set to: 'Pick up and hang up' when I add these numbers to the blocklist!

I get these types of calls every week.  I limit my credit purchases to what I can pay each month - so I never worry about interest rates.  I went back to the "Do Not Call Registry" to check out what calls they do allow and how to file a complaint.  Thought I'd share what their site says...

The number on my phone was 1406-219-2571. I waited to speak to a representative and when I finally reached someone, the man hung up on me when I asked information about the company. I called back to speak to a manager and an automated voice said if I wanted to be taken off the list to press 1. I don't know what this company does but I am definitely going to look into it.

receive message, when I asked what the company was Rachel said it was none of my buisness, I told her she called me said I was a b***h. Told her I was going to report this. She called me back from this number (on my caller id)157-062-9536. Caller ID said Security Screen. Asked if I had reported it and said if I did she would call me back everyday. I'M SO TIRED OF GETTING THESE CALLS! IT'S LIKE I'M NOT EVEN ON THE DO-NOT-CALL LIST; I HAVE BEEN GETTING SO MANY CALLS LATELY, THAT I WAS BEGINNING TO THINK I WASN'T ANYMORE. I CHECKED AND I AM...THEY MUST NOT BE DOING THEIR JOB! :(

Got about 10-12 annoying calls from this number (406-219-2378) just over the past WEEK...at all hours of the day or night. Caller ID says "Reset." We're on the do-not-call list AND this is a fax machine that it fouls up. I've called this number back several times only to get either silence or it just cuts off. How the heck do we get rid of this person/company???

Like you I have received these calls from 567 401 and now 206 .I urge you not to waste your time talking to them they use obscene language they have suggested to many women what kind of sexual act they would like her to perform .There is really only one way to stop them, complain to the FCC over and over tell everyone to file a complaint with them .They have a form which deals with all kinds of DNC scofflaws .I have filed 9 complaints ,sometimes 3 on one form ,I have heard back from FCC 4 times by mail .You need to flood them with email complaints because they do not know many thousands have received these calls and most have decided to respond to their #9 to talk to them ,most of the time they hang up or as what happened to me we got in a screaming match.I also hold Verizon responsible because they are using Verizon service and Verizon tells me these lines dont exist  and they don't have an answer as to where are they sending the bills.SO AGAIN FILE A COMPLAINT WITH FCC , THAT'S THE ONLY WAY.
