Robo dialers, computer generated calls - neither recognize if a number is or is not on a DNC or unlisted.

I hate getting these calls on the cell phone. Only about 24 people know my cell number. They are relatives and friends. How did these turkeys get the number?

Called my cell.  Left no voicemail.  Blocked.

I also have trac fone and do not know how they got the number.  Missed call and will not call back

The DNC is a database for all agency's to use, that is for telemarketers only. It works like it is supposed to. They do not acknowledge the report except after you have finished it.  One should file a complaint there and also the FTC as well as the FCC. Generally you will get something back directly from the FTC & FCC as a rule but not always.  

Keep in mind that most numbers used are being spoofed and can actually belong to innocent folks who do not need retribution phone calls, those abuse innocent folks rather then the real callers.

You guy's need to file complaint here https://www.fcc.gov/ it's the only thing I found that works and they will respond to your messages DO NOT CALL will not work .They called my cell phone at 7:30 tonite did not recognize the number & I never answer those kind of calls ... Now that I've been here glad I didn't and reported it right away.

just got this call at 9:18 p.m.,  isn't that illegal? I do believe telemarketers can not call after 9 pm.  I called it back, it was a recording that said I can be taken off the list.

Hahaha, I just added and blocked them as "Asshat" in my cell phone.

missed call.no voice mail.returned it. (i work with people from all over) voice recording "press any number to be removed from this list" hesitated, then pressed 1 and hung up. Then found all of you. police is too much work what we they need is something else to do.

Scammer robo-call telemarketer wants to install a home security system at no expense! Didn't answer. Don't answer.

They just called my cell phone twice in a row. Since I don't know anyone in Montana, I googled this number & found the discussion above. Blocking them now.

It's just another one of those scams. it is illegal for telemarketers to call cell phones this way. I filed a police report as I do every single time they call. they will never stop until everyone does the same thing. they were able to stop the cruise ship phone calls that were going around last yea out of Washington State, and if everyone would start complaining and filing legal paperwork then the Auhorities and FBI would begin to take notice and finally put a stop to these permanently. If we all just keep taking it though they're just going to keep calling. and you may want to heed the warning about answering the call Or returning the call because there is another scam going around in which people get charged outrageous fees. for some reason those area codes are reserved for areas of the Caribbean. for whatever reason someone still hasn't thought to attach a country code to such phone numbers so that people would recognize them as out of country calls. these days it's probably just best screen all your calls unless you absolutely know who it is. Smdh, makes me wonder why pay for a damn cell phone in the first place!

I recieved a call from 406-577-1225 but I did not answer it.

got the call...totally ignored it. don't answer random numbers....especially when i'm from texas and the call was from way up  north....

Got the call this morning from someone saying they were Freddy Lounds with the Tattler.  They said they had spoken to Jack Crawford and that is how they got my number.

I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. No message was left. They have now called me 4 times in the last 2 days.

Got a call from them this morning. No voicemail.

Just Got this call at 11:34 a.m. local time (about 15 minutes ago)  and they left a voice mail.  It was a recording asking to put a sign in my front lawn if I didn't have a "home security sytstem" of course all free of charge.  Sounds like a set up to rob you.

These folks really suck its a scam money generator charge you per minute to try to keep u on the line longer then one minute very expensive lesson

I didn't recognize the number or area code so I didn't answer. I seem to be getting a lot of these calls from all over the country, including Hawaii. I don't answer, but I do look the numbers up afterwards out of curiosity. Is there an official hotline where suspect numbers  can be reported to?
