I just got a call from 406-623-3414 did not answer it because I don't know any one with that area code. This is not the first time I got a call from the 406 area.

I was called home from this number.

Billings is the biggest city in MT, so there are FOUR old school cowboys roaming the range.

Caller ID was Procedure (sic). Let the call go to voice mail. The message left was a robo call that claimed that I had been selected for an equipment upgrade from Verizon that will save me up to $20 a month.

Guess the scammers have changed their approach judging from yesterday's message left by Kammy (4-6-2012).

My caller id showed this number and  name "Procedures" --no message. I checked and it is a Montana number????

Number has called few times. I text it b/c i dont answer random #.I got a messsage saying the # is a landline and will cost .25 a message.  Weird B/c my phone is straight talk and 50 a month with unlimited callin and unlimited messages...

Just answered the same number on my husband's cell (Colorado )) and got breathing, then they hung up. I'm paranoid, so I wanted to check it out.

I received this phone call today, the lady said : Hello, this is a mecidine............. I know it is scam, then I hung up my phone.

These calls that you are getting... "Uh, Hi"... are a trick by "Junk Debt" collection agencies to get you to answer the phone. I received a few calls a couple of weeks ago, different days, different times. Every single message left was identical! Sounds of a guy saying similar: Hello... hello...? Then the sound of a door in the background. Then the sound of the phone being handled, and then click. The message lasted about 20 seconds, long enough for someone not paying attention to asnwer by mistake!

Got a call from this number on April 6th, 2012 in the am.
Left no message, didnt say anything.
You all need to realize that they may be calling from another number altogether and routing their annoying calls through software that gives the impression that the call originated from 1 (406) 623-3644.
That number would mean the call came from Billings, Montana.
What's in Billings, Montana besides cattle, tumbleweeds, a few old school cowboys still roaming the range?

Received call from this number on business cell. Tried to call back, no ring tone.

I got an auto dial call from this number and then it redirected me to a voicemail : (714) 661-6906 of this number. Lets find this person!!!!!

Call from this # came in on cell.  Did not answer.  No voicemail was left.  Wikipedia says the Area Code is in Montana.

Just got a call from this number. I did not answer but they left a message. It was about a pain-free meter for diabetics and if I wanted to order one. Medicare recipients automatically qualify, yay!

I got a call from this # on my home line, did not leave a message, I tried to call back it just said all circuts are busy. Do not trust anyone that calls you from this #

Are any of you getting married?  I just Gave David's Bridal my info and I've been getting tons of email and phone spam, this is one of the numbers harassing me too.  The other option in my world would be student loans.  I have lots of them.

This number as well as  (406) 426-3477 has been a problem. I believe they are using an auto-dialer fleecing for numbers that connect. A pain in the A**! :o)

To all of the above situations, this isn't weird. This is a tactic for internet thieves to gain access to your computers. Few years ago I caught biggest internet thieves in the us. Since they knew I caught them and they couldn't get into my computer, they tried destroy tactics. So one night left my internet connection on. Phone rang 3 o'clock in the morning. Since I have no one calling me, knew false address and name. Because thieves use any name or phone numbers they choose. Next morning tried turning on my computer and had a blue screen, then they send a message saying have to format my hard drive but didn't. Long story short phone calls like these will gain access into your computer depending how it is set up, such as on the same modem, and of course your protection and settings. Some cases this will divert your browser to a master connection point. I get calls like this just about every day. But now all in vain. So to me this isn't weird just normal everyday thieves at work. Also same time fighting the thieves got calls from another number. Found out it was one on FTC list for complaints , that one diverted browsers notified FTC who they were and why they were doing it. So just to give everyone heads up on some to the tactics thieves use to gain access to your computer. Phone is a popular means. Especially if on the same lines and modems.

That same number called my 10 year old daughters cell phone so I called it back....it doesn't even ring. This isn't the first time she has been called by that number but she never answers. She knows only to answer calls from numbers in her phone.

Stop!!!!  I don't want any more calls from this number..... they are annoying and cost me money.

Received a call at 5:36 PM CST today, March 8th. They left no message, as they called my business cell phone number. I don't have a "smart" phone.

These people don't know our numbers. But it is relatively easy to determine what exchanges (the first six digits) belong to cell phone numbers. Once those are known, it's a simple matter to start robo-dialing the numbers XXX-XXX-0000 through XXX-XXX-9999 and hitting all ten thousand cell phones in that block.

People... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER answer a call from a number you do not recognize. Most every phone made in the last ten years gives the phone number of the caller. There is no excuse for answering these random calls. Once you answer, they will know your number is legitimate, and they will continue to call, forever. Let it go to voicemail, then delete the voicemail without listening to it, which will save you your minutes.

Called my company cell phone and when I answered it was a recording saying they could lower my credit card rates.

We are continuously receiving phone calls about lowering interest rates on our credit cards. We do not keep any balances. Each time they call we opt out yet they continue to call. The problem is they keep changing their number or it is blocked. our answering machine usually picks up. The two most frequent numbers are 1(877)723-1419 and 1(406) 623-3644. They have now started calling on oour cell phones which wastes our minutes. How do we stop them? I even tried having our phone carrier blocking calls from unknown and they got around the block. The calls sometimes occur 4-5 times a day.

I just received a call as well. I guess they are starting a new round. I wonder how they get our numbers. Do we all have smart phones? Maybe it's an app we use that we have to enter our number into or something. I didn't answer, they didn't leave a vm, and when I called back it was "busy" according to an automated message. Total scam.
