Number showed up on caller I.D., I didn't answer, they left no message.

This is really annoying. I don't know how they will get our number and disturb us.

I frequently receive calls from this unknown caller while at my office.  I answered once; it was obvious it was an auto-dialed call so I hung up.  The calls continued relentlessly for several weeks.  I just let roll to voice mail, and they never leave a message.  I finally called back today to try and identify the caller.  My call immediately rolled to a recorded message that did not identify the company, but politely said "thank you for returning our call.  If you do not wish to receive further solicitations and wish to be placed on our no-call list, please press 1", which I did.

So, I assume it is some sort of a telemarketer.  At least it is a polite one providing an opt-out.  Hopefully that in itself isn't a scam....I guess I will find out.  I have no idea what they are marketing.

This number is used by several companies to solicit information for trade magazines. In my case, I made the unfortunate mistake of signing up for Network World magazine because I am in IT. Now they wont stop calling.

I get calls all the time from this number, either there is no one there or someone I can not understand.  I tried calling the number back, but you get a fast busy signal (reorder tone) - meaning you can't call them.  I am on the national do not call list.  It is frustrating because they just waste my time and my cell phone minutes....

Network World is the worst with their telemarketing.  18 months ago, I had to call the editor of the magazine to get them to stop calling.  I am starting to get their calls again.  I guess another call is needed.

The best bet is to wait until they come on and find out which magazine their representing and then call the magazine directly.  Tell them you are being harassed and hold them responsible.  They will get you off the call list quickly.

looked like a local number but obviously the person on the other end was from a call center in India looking to renew some magazine subscription which I don't even have

they call me almost everyday at work. I don't answer any call I don't recognize the number.

Comes through on my caller ID as "Perfect Network". Got one call that when I picked up there was nobody there. I hung up and then 2 minutes later they called again. It was somebody who barely spoke english reading off a script. After they verified that I was who I said I was 3 times I told them to get on with it and it was something about giving me a totally free subscription to some magazine.

I got my first call at work today from this number, and earlier today I received a similar no-message call from 480-553-7079.  Are these teams working together?  I called them back and their message said to press 1 if I want to be placed on a "no call list".  I pressed 1 and I hope I don't get a bunch of calls from those that buy the "no call list".

Called me at least once almost every day!!!!

And again, 11am. Persistent.

Just pinged me at work, 10:12 AM ET. Didn't bother to answer.

Have had several calls from this number.  Telemarketers, block it.

I've received three call attempts on my cell today and one yesterday. They never leave a message. I answered the last call but there was nothing but silence on the other end. When I attempt to return the call all I get is silence and it then drops. Prob an offer for a trade magazine. I've had several of those lately.

Got a call from this number while at work.  This was the first call I've received. I did not pick up and the caller left no message. When I called back, I got the frantic busy signal. Not an actual busy signal, but the one that means your call cannot be completed. Thanks to the comments above, I will not be answering calls from this number in the future.

I'm getting calls from this number too. I saved it to my cell directory as "SCAM" so that I don't pick up.

As part of my job I subscribe to several free industry trade magazines. I may have listed my cell when I filled out the subscription card. It's possible that the calls are stemming from that. The lesson learned is that from now on I am going to list a fake number when I fill out these subscription apps.

+1. This number has been calling twice a day for a couple of weeks, this time I called back, go the same "special promotions" message and clicked one to "be removed" we shall see.

I didn't recognize the out of state area code, and they did not leave a message. ...and thanks to you guys, I'm not calling them back. (city gov.)

They called to renew free subscription to Network World Magazine and to obtain statstical business info.

They called me this morning, so I called them back.  Press 1 to be removed from their "special promotions" call list.  So I did.

Call came into my work 2x at 4:09 PM and 4:10 PM and wouldn't leave a message.

Call to my work number (city government), no message left. I captured the caller ID and tried to call back,. got a telco intercept recording, "your call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again. 81690."  So, they are spoofing their caller ID.
