This number in Bridger, Montana is under the jurisdiction of Century Link. I contacted their office in Denver and they gave me the number for their Harassment Department. You can call them at 1-800-582-0655 to submit your complaint. Maybe if enough people call and complain, Century Link will do something about these harassing calls.

Same here. They keep calling. Some kind of scam.
KTY 2012-10-16 21:55:39 Unknown
Same as above. Do not call.
JAY 2012-10-16 21:54:22 Unknown
Many, many calls. Children in household have been instructed not to answer. We will not take calls from Bridger, MT. Caller is unknown to us. Next stop: alternative phone provider. Provider should be able to stop this number after too many complaints.

Same situation as Missoula above. Caller identified self as A&S Inc, and a lady asked same questions. I said I was undecided. Short conversation.

Got a call, no message. Putting it in the blocked list. I'm getting a lot of 202 area code calls too. Another 3 weeks and the nightmare ends.

Just was called by this number. Supposedly a non-profit calling regarding the upcoming senate races (Tester v. Rehberg). As soon as I said I was voting Tester the man on the other line said he couldn't hear me anymore and then said he would mark be down as "undecided" and hung up. Super annoying.

This is a number trying to poll you for votes. I live in North Dakota. They cannot even get there records straight for the Montana National Guard Veterans who returned from Irag a year ago. I am sick and tired of the calls. I will be calling the State of Montana and chewing someone. I am sick to death of these polls and phone calls.

I like this opt-in idea. However, all these idiot telemarketers who ignore the current laws would still ignore any variation of such laws.

Now that just disgusting. It's perfectly OK for a wide variety of unwanted companies to keep calling.
What we need is a new start: Rather than a Do Not Call list, we need an OK To Call list where, unless we opt IN, it's illegal for them to call us. The way it's set up now favors the telemarketers.

Folks, I'm perfectly serious: I truly believe they're using the Do Not Call registry as their calling list. Not just this number - they can get a new number as easily as any of us can - I mean all of these b*****ds that are cropping up lately. This one said "Do you have time to answer a couple questions about the election?" and I said "I have enough time to report you to the Do Not Call registry." and he said "That's funny!" and started laughing out loud. They're getting arrogant and defiant about their violations of the law.
JAY 2012-10-13 19:13:16 Unknown
They need to stop calling. Small children answer this phone. I cannot put my family members at risk at the hands of unknown callers.

got a call from this number just now....gonna unplug the landline...excuse my french ..but uck em.
Batchmann 2012-10-04 01:28:22 Unknown
Folks,
Our phone services (and especially our land lines) are under assault by a new breed of invasive, nuisance phone calls being spawned by a new kind of marketeer who doesn't give a damn about us or our privacy.
If the phone companies and carriers won't do anything to stop this, our only choice will be to get our phone services some other way.

I've received about 15 calls from this number in the last two weeks. They typically call be 1-6 PM. Most of these calls occur on the weekend. I have also filed a formal complaint with donotcall.gov.

Received call from this number on 09/28/12 at approximately 5:00 p.m. (Mountain) - our caller ID displayed "UNKNOWN NUMBER". Caller disconnected when I answered - I called back and reached the same answering machine as Kathi above (""You have reached four billion six hundred sixty-two million seven hundred twenty-nine. Please leave a message."). Thanks for allowing us to research & post information regarding these annoying calls - and thanks, Kathi, for the information on filing a complaint.

Annoying calls. My cousin works in national security and has tracked down the number for me. They will be contacted by my representatives in the near future. I would share this info but my cousin asked me not to.

This number also called me. I answered, no response. When I called it back, I was immediately put through to a voicemail box. The number is from Bridger, MT but, I'm not sure I know anyone there... hmmm.
Mike 2012-09-22 19:39:38 Unknown
I also received a call from 406-662-0729, Bridger, MT. I did not recognize the number and after saying hello several times, someone picked up. Obviously it is an auto-dialer telemarketer or political call. When a real voice started talking, I answered that they have reached the "Federal Anti-Terrorist Emergency Response Task Force" and that a "response team" is immediately being deployed to the callers? traced location. After a slight pause, the caller stated "OH SH*T !!" and hung up. I suspect I won?t be getting any more calls from that number.

I called the number and received this message: "You have reached four billion six hundred sixty-two million seven hundred twenty-nine. Please leave a message." I left a message indicating that I am on the Do Not Call Registry and received a hang-up call. I left my phone number and requested them to call and explain why I received a call from them, since I am on the Do Not Call Registry. I also stated that if I did not receive a reply, I would be filing a formal complaint with the FCC.
Whether your number is or is not on the registry, you can still file a formal complaint on line or by mail. Here is a link for info and for filing a complaint: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
It only takes a few minutes, but I figure that the best way to make these people stop is to hit them where it hurts.... their pocketbooks. Let's hope these guys get assessed a hefty fine!

They won't stop calling me. I don't know how they got my number and they call me at least 3 times daily for the last week. No voice mail and no one talks when i do answer. How do I get them to stop calling me?!!!! It's really pissing me off
Joey Sims 2012-09-21 18:57:03 Unknown
They called twice a day and never leave a message but if I answer there is just silence
Kyla 2012-09-21 02:05:15 Unknown
I have also been getting calls--no response, just silence. I am from MT but I have no one in Bridget that I know?
Stace 2012-09-21 01:28:56 Unknown
They have called 5 times just today and no one speaks when i answer. there is a bunch of background noise and crackling, but no answer. its really getting annoying.
Vicki 2012-09-21 00:56:29 Unknown
This number calls at least once or twice a day lately. Answer it and no response ever. When I don't answer, they never leave a message.....so don't bother to answer. Says Bridger, MT in caller ID. Is some type of hoax.
Sam 2012-09-20 20:47:05 Unknown
They keep calling. I won't answer, I think it is a scam.
Bill 2012-09-20 02:38:49 Unknown
my caller ID showed this number. I ignored the call because I didnt recognize the number. No voicemail was left either.
