just got a call from this number which hung up before i picked up my phone. it's pretty funny considering i almost never give out this number.

received two calls tonite. Did not answer...bye

Don't open if you receive a text message in your inbox. Disgusting video comes up w/message "it's your turn". Make sure to block all incoming text messaging if you have children under age of 18.

Number showed up on my caller ID on my home cell phone.

I've got this call on my phone too April 10, 2008.  I am on the "Family" plan of a very wealthy family member and have NEVER given my phone number to anyone except my family members!  What the hell is this all about?  How could someone benefit from doing this?  I did'nt answer it thank god!

I just reported this number to Mid-River Telephone Coop and he said while he didn't have this number in his system, he would take action. I also told him about the calls back in January when a caller with the same area code and same last four digits had over 200 posters on this web site complaining. There are a lot of numbers listed here from 406. Just think of the majority of people who aren't curious enough to check up and post here. Somebody is tapping into their system and I hope they catch her.

Find it ironic I have a 254 area code as well, dont know why I would be getting spanish recording from Montana.

Regarding CYBORG the poster who found out the number was a lineline with Mid-River telephone coop--why don't those of us who are annoyed report the woman and her number. MidRiver's contact number is 800-452-2288  Their security tech may be able to do something.

got a call from same number on personal cell about 5:30pm CST, was unable to answer. called from work phone and got the *disconnected* message. on nextel service, 254 area code
gonna go buy an air horn, just in case they decide to call back :)

I was busy and missed the call, glad I did after finging this site.She must not have a life.  Someone should help her, not. Maybe take her phone away. yes.

I'm with att wireless and I got a call from this number at 12:30 today (friday 3/11) fortunately I missed it.  I called att and she reported it.
I did learn something new: YOU CAN ALSO REGISTER YOUR CELL NUMBERS ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY! The agent told me there had been alot of complaints about this and also text messaging but as for as she knew the worst that would happen was to use up your minutes.
I did have a thought though what if while she had you on the line, she made a 3 way call that continued on your service after you hung up. Thats pretty farfeched though.

Got the call this evening..  Im in texas as well.  I know a little spanish, So i pressed 1, then was put on hold when the lady answered, i asked her in spanish if she new english.  she said yes sir, hold on..  then they hung up on me.

Same Call... Spanish Lady. Hung up on the recording...

First of all this IS a Montana area code - so the area code has nothing to do with it.  BUT what people need to understand is that now days with the way cell phone companies and companies that do digital phone service like vonange let you choose your number; the area code means nothing.  It does NOT identify where a person is calling from.  I have relatives & friends in one state with cell phone & digital services that have 'area codes' from another state.  Basically if you don't know the number from the person calling you don't answer it!  

With the way things are now days it is important to be skeptical about any phone call, email or letter you receive.  ALWAYS verify where the call is coming from or the number that you are 'suppose to call' or whatever other information you are being given.  I get several emails a day that are linked to phishing scams (I do business online and have my email very accessible).  I am amazed at how creative they have gotten with it and always make it a point to be aware of it.  The big one now is an email saying to 'call your bank' to verify charges on a CC or to verify your account information or your account will be charged or frozen etc.  People think they are safe because they are doing the calling & not receiving the call.  

Unfortunately identity theft & credit theft is fast becoming the Largest form of financial crime in the US and we just don't have the laws and means to keep up with it so if it does happen you don't have much help.  The best way to avoid it is to find ways to secure your information (a little research will go a long way to help protect yourself) and NEVER take anything/anyone at face value; whether it is over the phone, over the internet or in person!

so what do you do when you recv this call, answer it and you have an i phone? is there anyway to undo the damage? help pls!

And it's also obvious how much you know about computers...just enough to be danegrous to yourself. Your local IP address is private but routable. Private IP address 192.168.x.x means is not a live address on the internet.
Firewalls have 2 IP addresses, one live(internet) and one local - most likely 192.168.1.1. When you are on the internet, your address will show as the live address of the firewall. That is all a hacker needs to get to any computer connected on the other side of the firewall. Any hacker would get through a home firewall in under 5 minutes.

It appears that several telephone servers has been hacked! They seemed to have a lot of numbers to call at random.

Got a no message call from this number, odd.

This number just called my cell phone.  Name unavailable.  I didn't recognize it so I didn't answer it.  They didn't leave a message either.  Probably some telemarketing scheme.

Put yourself on the do not call list and report the call to your state attorney's general office. It is harrassment and agaist the law to use abusive laguage in collections or telemarketing

...I received a call from this number shortly after I called a Government phone number.

same number just call me, I googled it and got here. number had a + infront of it on my caller ID.

Received a call from 406-798-6798 on April 10, 2008.  Freaked me out because it was my birthday and I have an "ememy" in Montana who I thought was harassing me.
