called me on my cell, asked for my mom and claimed that I had signed up to receive a follow up call from some online degree program.  I remarked that i already had a college degree, and she said oh,  well would you like a masters or phd?

these folks call me way too much.  i actually answered the other day and it was a lady talking about they could help me financially.  i kept asking her to identify the company and she kept talking.  i asked her what are the fees and she kept talking.  i finally just hung up the phone.  they just called me again.  PLEASE HELP!!!!

What bother me about this number it comes up as "Urgent Message". They asked for a person that does not live here any more. Never stated why they were calling and didn't bother to ask how they could contact the person they asked for. If it was so urgent they could have said more than nothing.

Hate to say it but the do not call registry is worthless. I doubt if they check out any complaints any more. I am up to date. Filed complaints and never have had a response from them or ever had the calls stopped because of them. Do Not Call is worthless. Telemarketers just laugh at them, nothing but a big joke to them.

I had a missed call from this number labeled urgent message yesterday afternoon.  I tried to call back and a recording said that if you want to be removed from their list press "1".  I did and was told it could take up to 72 hours to remove my name.  I received another call from them today and answered.  They claim I had inquired about education funding.  I certainly don't remember that unless it was in the fine print of an online submission during my recent job search.  I asked her again to take me off their list and not to call me anymore.  I am on the DNC list as well.  Hopefully, I'm done with this company..

I picked up finally. A woman said she was from getmydegree.com.

Called it back; they had a "press 1 to be put on our 'do not call' list", which I suspect is really a "confirm somebody actually answers this phone number" option, but I did press '1" to not be "called any more about [their] fabulous opportunities".

I have not requested any service from this agency.  They continually call me, usually after hours, and late at night...lots later than they should be calling.  I don't know who they are but I'm getting pretty fed up with their persistence.

A phone scammer is someone who calls you and uses scare tactics or some other method to get you to give them money. IDK who this is or why they are calling it comes up as "URGENT MESSAGE" on my caller ID and they call me at work (on my direct line, not through our 800 number) When I pick up there is no one on the other line. If this IS a phone scammer they are doing a really bad job at scamming me LOL
I have since had my employer block their number so they cant bother me.

And about the DNC list- you're right it IS worthless. If you ever apply for a loan from a bank, or put your phone number on ANYTHING, it's back into circulation. I used to work for a telemarketing comapny and I would occasionally run the numbers we purchased from other companies against the DNC list. I'm sad to say it but 9 times out of 10 a majority of the new numbers we bought were on the list. Leagally a telemarketing company is alowed to call if they purchase the number from elsewhere.

they just called and asked for my wife by name. told me they could not leave a message with me, but had urgent information for wife. does anyone TRULLY know wht the he-- is going on? the call came on majicjack line!!!!

It's from getmyonlinedegree.com. Honestly, I don't know why people would put up with getting tons of calls like this. Just answer the call, tell them you already have a degree and be done with it. That's what I did. They'll move on to the next victims.

Just let your phone service provider know.  Maybe they'll figure it out.  Try to find a way to block that call from coming in.  There is a way to have the service provider do this.  Just be persistent in your request.

I had my 12 year old daughter's phone today and this number called several times. I finally answered and like you said it was very hard to understand the caller (possibly an oriental accent), yet she knew my daughter's name. We have nothing to do with T-mobile and this phone isn't even in her name so I think it originates online and then calls until you answer. I will be reporting this number to my service provider immediately and suggest everyone else to the same.

I received several calls from this number, they have my first name correct, I told them this person no longer works here, they apologize and hang up.. If they call again I will not answer.

I just called back and it gave me an opption that if i did not want them to call anymore just to press 1. I did and no more calls.

got a call from this number on my cell phone, I am a VZW customer I am reporting it to them to see if they can stop the calls since I am on the DNC list!

This number has called me twice now. And I do not answer because I don't recognize the number.  They need to be stopped. I have several friends who also received a call from this number.

Calls my cell every so often.  I don't answer because I have no idea who is calling.  Last time call received was 9/9/2010 at 3:16 PM.

I CALED 406 852 8223 BACK AND IT IS A RECORDED MESSAGE FROM A COMPANY CALLED TDS. IT IS VERIZON'S COLLECTION COMPANY. THEY THEN SEND YOU TO YET ANOTHER NUMBER WHICH TRANSFER YOU TO ANOTHER NUMBER AND SO ON AND SO ON. IF THEY WANT TO COLLECT MONEY FROM PEOPLE THERE ARE BETTER WAYS. I DON'T HAVE VERISON. I HAVE ANOTHER CELL COMPANY. VERISON SUCKS.

NOTE *** Everyone Who is being Harassed by this Caller.  I have found the following info about this Caller.  This number He/She is calling from (406) 852-8223 is a Land line telephone number located in Miles City, Montana -Zip code 59301.  The Telephone Carrier/Provider is Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  All of us who have listed a complaint here, and all others you know who are receiving these harassing calls, contact and FILE A COMPLAINT with (FTC) Federal Trade Commission.  Submit the information I have given above about this Caller, and the FTC will have enough complaints and info to locate and stop this harassing caller and I hope they sanction this caller too.  Also, call and FILE A COMPLAINT with Pacific Telecom Communications Group too, I am going to.  If we all do this we should get results.  There is power in numbers.  I am going to do whatever it takes to STOP this caller from calling me with these daily, back-to-back harassing calls.  Remember harassment is against the LAW!!!   Nov-17-2010
