The company operates out of Montana there might be a way to stop the calls. under Montana state code 30-14-1410 - Disclosure and contract requirements sub-section 4 a) Except as provided in subsection (6), in addition to any other right to revoke an offer, in the case of a sale made by telephone, the buyer may cancel the sale at any time prior to signing an agreement or offer to purchase the goods or services. Also code 30-14-1412 - Abusive acts and practices sub-section 1) It is an abusive telemarketing act or practice and a violation of this part for any seller or telemarketer to engage in the following conduct: (a) use threatening, intimidating, or profane or obscene language; (b) engage any person repeatedly or continuously with behavior a reasonable person would consider annoying, abusive, or harassing. http://www.lawserver.com/law/state/montana/mt ... pter_14_part_14. Hey am trying to cancel my subscription but they have been giving me a hard time and every time they call they tell me they are going to send me to collections, i lost my job and i called to cancel and they were rude about it they even ask if i can ask someone to borrow the money but if you can help it will be great cause i don't need this on my credit much less the harassment i am already stress out and them call me constantly is even worse. And also i think three days to cancel a magazine subscription doesn't even make sense.

The best thing to do is just cancel your card and get a new one issued to you from your bank. I had to do it. They will not let you cancel.

The only way to cancel your "subscription" to this "service" is to cancel bank card that you gave them.
Then, when they call to hassle you, or send you to their "collection agencies", don't give them another number to suck money "automatically".
A year later I still get calls from their "collections services" from at least 5 different States across the country. These pathetic souls that are "just doing their job" get paid a commission if they can get you to "settle up". (There is/has been no service I need to settle up for.) .
I collect the numbers of these "agencies" that don't leave a message. I assign them a funny name and duck sound ring tone and just turn them off whenever they call me again. Just to let you know your a criminal because you know that these company is a fraud your involved in these too and sooner or later your going to pay what your doing!!

I said no and never gave my card number and still got charged. I even had the bank call them with me on the phone. They said that the magazine companies told them I called them and put the magazines on hold. When I told them I don't know what magazines I was paying for they said that they've already paid for the magazines and I was paying them back. Then said the contract CAN NOT be cancelled. My bank representative told them they were unethical and their tapes are not even listenable because of all the noise and with them on the phone asked if I wanted to cancel my card and I said yes and that's what I did and they haven't called me or got a dime from me since.

I was charged $66.00 and now I'm being charged $86.00. This scam needs to be stopped because I can't afford these prices every month with a family to support. Please someone not only help me, but help everyone eho has become victimized by this.

I also have gotten repeated phone calls from the same number starting usually at around 8am until around 5pm. It was very annoying because I work night shift and the call would wake me up every time, but I can't silence my phone because I am on call with my job. I finally got tired of the phone calls and answered. I was tired and also vulnerable due to my husband leaving me and my children just days before and didn't really pay close attention to what they were telling me. The next thing I know, my card was charged $33.20 and I had no real idea what for. If anyone out there has a number that I can call to cancel the order for whatever it was I paid for please let me know. I can't afford to pay anything out besides basic bills because I am now a single mom with four children. Every penny is needed just to get by. I was just under the impression that I was entered into a sweepstakes to win a million dollars and a diamond watch. I didn't intend on signing up to buy anything. I need to cancel as soon as possible to make sure my card doesn't get charged again and I don't want anything getting shipped to my house at all. I made a mistake, can you help me cancel it?

I was stupid enough to sign up for Country Wide Periodicals. i tried to cancel right after and was told i could not cancel and it would go negatively on my credit score (which my husband and i were trying to buy a house so i didn't need anything negative on it, so i kept it for the time being).... now we have a house and i want it to STOP... which i have NOT received ANY magazines from these people.... they told me that it would take 8 weeks to start getting any... it's been about 3 months now... and i call the number on the credit card statement and it beeps and hangs up.... when they called me they already had my SS#, DOB, and CC number... said i was a preferred customer through my credit card.... does anyone have this number to cancel this and how to keep it from coming back negative on my credit????

i guess i ordered it, but i was driving at the same time and jsut wanted them to get off my nuts, dumb of me and gave them my card number, before i tried to cancel because they charged my card and i was confused because i didnt recieve anything, i complained and asked to cancel. they wouldnt let me so i canceled my card and set a claim for what they charged me before which was around $60-$65. i got the money back and a new card, but now i have a mail saying i owe a previous charge around $33 and a pass due one, another $33 which is now around 60 something bucks! i dont want to pay them but im not sure wat will happen, i read before that they cant send to me collection because they dont have my social security number. please help me, it would be great if you or anyone.

Every month they charge my checking account for $49.61. This was suppose to be for 3 months but this month makes 7 months.  How can I have this stopped?

I just got the same phone call 2 days ago. With the same exact discription you gave the tap on the shoulder from the supervisor thing. Unfortunately I feel for it even while being suspicious of it all. My. Redit card happen to decline. And I did the math and I was t really getting anything for free. I called my credit card and explained the situation, and they went ahead and canceled my credit card and issued me a new one, before this company could even actually charge( and my credit card company stated to me that they have tried 4 times already and got declined every time . This company says they can't ship anything until I'm charged, so I hope they don't send me anything cuz they have no where to start charging me from. I will never answer a block number again nor be coned into paying $16.60per month for 3 magazines with 3 addition subscribtions that are supposedly free, which times 12 is about $198 a year divided by the actual 6 subscriptions together equal more or less to $33 per magazine per year. In actuality nothing is free. The watch nor sweepstakes never interest me. The savings I thought I was getting was that got me. Who needs 6 magazine subscriptions anyways at those conning rates? Like no one has bills and kids to support. Nice try, not getting a penny from me.
