Got a call today at 12:40. Didn't pick it up. Annoying.
Automated call from a company saying they can refinance at a lower rate. Said press nine to speak with a representative. Did that and after asking what company was being represented, the woman said "this one" and then hung up. Tried calling back and am getting a funky busy signal sound. Am reporting to donotcall.gov.
They called today, but didn't anwer it. And, of course, no message. This MUST be a scam.

Would u like to lower your interest rates. This sounded great!! Gave credit card # and acct. # came back with information that matched statements but as soon as they hears the one with the bigger amount was closed and the other one only had a small available balance they hung up. I just don't feel safe anymore!! Everyone is looking for ways to make life easier in this economy. Sad it is just away to RIP you off.
Automated call from Rachel, 407-000-9879 - obviously an invalid number, with an offer to lower my credit card rate. Pressed 9 to speak to a rep. He asked: Are you calling to lower your card rate? I said: I need to know who you guys are. He hung up immediately. Our number is on the Do Not Call list, but we've been getting more and more unsolicited calls from different organizations who don't comply with the law. FCC needs to take measures against such callers, issue stricter laws or something, there is good reason people put their numbers on the Do Not Call list. I don't feel any more protected than if I didn't register my number with the FCC...
just got it a minute ago at 1215 on may 5th. didnt pickup because of the 000 in the number obviously not my area code either. no message was left, but i was curious as to the origin and this is what i found here
They're still at it. Must be an automated dialer, because calls came into my phone & fax lines simultaneously.

I keep getting calls from the (apparrently) same company offering to lower my credit card interest rate. When I get a human, they identify themselves as "Credit card Services", but give no additional info. When pressed for more info they hang up.
Also use the number 407.000.2323.

2-24-09 - Automatic message saying they were calling about my credit card. There is nothing wrong they say but I MUST call them back right away to see how I can save on my interest rate. OBVIOUSLY a scam. I hung up.
got this call at 3:02 and machine picked it up and no message as well.
called back and it told me the number was invalid. Just not sure why I have call display so that I dont have to answer these calls and I agree Bell needs to have these stopped. Dont have it at work so not sure if it is the same ones but there is one that the horn blows and it is the same trying to give you a free trip.
I too got a call today (9:45 am), which is Labour Day for me as well. I saw the 000 so I didn't answer, no message was left either. I am really getting tired of these stupid calls. Bell really needs to do something to prevent this from happening.

called Labour Day in Canada, illegal call to begin with, rang 2x, and hungup. Didn't answer, saw the 000. Knew it was spoofed. The phone companies need to get on these scam artists and prevent spoofing of telephone #.
they called a couple times while we were not home they never left message and could not find any info till i found this site. thanks for all the help
